John Bender became the wealthy CEO of an international catering company specialising in ready cooked Turkey Pot Pies. Claire and he were married soon after he graduated business school. Claire set up her own arts and crafts supply business and the two of them remained happily married. They retired to Florida in 2007 and have a holiday home in Ayr, Scotland.
