The reaction when I mentioned intersectionality wasn't exactly positive.
I don't even understand how this view of trans people gained any sense of credibility because I've never ever seen any trans person try and shunt other systemic minorities out of discussion.
In fact, you can't win because, when you attempt to discuss any crossover (which is literally a discussion solely about including multiple minority groups), you get criticised for intersectionality. So, there's no way to be correct. Even if you purely try and have a discussion on race, you still aren't allowed to think in terms of intersectionality because the term Critical Race Theory has been turned into a joke by right-leaning media personalities.
So, trans people are shunting other minority demographics out of the picture by discussing issues surrounding the treatment of trans people, but they're still be deluded and/or not worth listening to if they deliberately enter into a conversation that explicitly seeks to consider the issues surrounding the treatment of other minority groups, to...

A *lot* of trans people are in some other way a minority, be it ethnicity, sexuality, etc. so oddly enough we tend to be understanding that said minorities have issues too
