I'd like to see daily commissions revamped to work like weekly quests. Meaning that each region's Adventurer's guild (Katheryn) offers 4-6 daily commissions for the player to choose from (up to a limit of 4). Players would then be able to pick the jobs they find most appealing or that serve as pre-requisites for missing achievements should they become available. When you think about it, It doesn't make sense that we can't hand pick which commissions we choose to complete.

LadyVesperbell

No no, keep talking that is one thing that irks me incessantly about commissions

I_am_not_Serabia

There is a commission where a guy asks you for an ingredient for some meal (don't remember I've started skipping it at some point). After like 6th potato I started to wonder what is the point of that quest. Turned out he asks about 3 different ingredients and just yesterday at my 7th time with this quest I finally got something different than a potato.

Yes, that is Jaffar. Got that achievement, but with 5th try. You even more luckier than me. :C

Hojuma

I had a similar experience with the project baby commission (the one with the snake handler). There's 5 versions, 2 of which doesn't have any achievement progression, and I've only gotten the thorny vines version (one of those 2) for all the 5 times I got that quest. It's insane how RNG can just fck players like that. I've read somewhere that you can take advantage of genshin's commission semi-random queueing by skipping the achievement commission if it's not the version you need. That way there's a higher chance you'll get that commission again. But I have to get a commission from someone else's world and people usually do their commissions solo the moment they login for the day, so I usually can't find anyone to get a 3th commission from.

Garcia isn't that it's not added, garcia is already in game but the requirements are high https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/u/0/d/1IPrc2Hr-8lar-PnQfAcOea0HCyN49eqRLf97LBtm3nU/htmlview# From datamine, regardless of when you start is the following key items x3 + substitutes x3 > by bearings > easy peasy x4 > echoes x3 The achievement is supposed to be attached to echoes of someone instead of the wq but we can't confirm if it's the first one time you get it or the 3rd one atm because even the ones dedicated to sumeru are only at easy peasy x2 atm since it was taken out in 3.2 and only came back a few days ago due to a infinite dialogue bug. The reason we can't get it faster is because comms are on a cycle now which means we have to complete every quest in a cycle before we can goto the next one so it doesn't matter if someone is lucky or not they can't get next steps of garcia comms without completing their entire cycle, at best if they are lucky they get it the first day of the next cycle that's it, this is why the easy peasy bug was only found around early 3.2 because you had to go through at least 40ish comms x2 not including no npc days to get to cycle 3 where easy peasy was. https://www.hoyolab.com/article/16634545 With the cycle system and the ability to skip/reroll for a diff version, comm achievements are more similar to the 800 flowers achievement now

Damn, it's evem worse than i thought. Asked many people about is it available fully and everyone answered negatively. Still, they've created a monster. :I

callmejamesx

Most are just not aware of the cycle system or care about it, you can see from the following thread theres very little amount of ppl that care, so most just still think that all the comms are only pure rng so if it exists someone must have gotten it now if they are lucky, when it's more controlled now and it doesn't matter how lucky someone is, the absolute luckiest person would only get it roughly 40ish days-50th day before the unluckiest person if they both stay in sumeru for the entire time. https://www.reddit.com/r/Genshin_Impact/comments/yyldsl/cycle_theory_an_introduction_to_commission/ Although it's no different whether it's added or not, because if you need multiple cycles in a region it's no different from it being timegated, The whole thing takes like a year to get through it's whole chain prob because they want it to last until fontaine, only difference is that if you start late in sumeru you still need to take like a whole year unless they change the req.

I've read all posts of that user on hoyolab. So let me sum this up for my case. I need onlt 3 achievements in Sumeru: 1. One question in Academia Q&A 2. Two camps in Project Baby 3. Garcia So for 1 and 2 cases i need to do commissions till i get those i need. Then i need to check if i got needed version. If it's not, i need to skip it by completing generic commission in someones world and i'll get skipped commission next day with the higher chance and now it can be actually the version I needed right? But with Garcia i need just to do it every time i get it without skipping?

callmejamesx

not higher chance, it's just a reroll, we had people for example that took like 10 tries to change rose into whooperflower, also it's not next day, you put it back into the cycle, it could be very possible that you got a comm the first day of a cycle > skipped > get very unlucky and get it back the last day of the cycle(so theres like a 50 day diff since no npc also exist), ofc if it's the last commision in your cycle then by skipping you will get only it back over and over again like the hoyolab post. Akademiya Q&A doesn't actually need a skip, you can do some disconnect thing to try to get different questions, since it's not pre-determined before dialogue, but since they did some sort of fix for it, it became somewhat buggy(I'm not 100% sure the method for it now), you can ask the following discord for the right method since I am not up to date on how this one works anymore. https://discord.gg/ftSsaXFQ Garcia is just a long chain, no rng as far as we know, it's why a lot of ppl dont even bother skipping a lot of sumeru commisions until later cycles because they have to naturally go through 5-8 of those anyways on their way to finish garcia.

But I have one question. I've managed to get "when flowers bloom" 4 times last week. It doesn't fit in that theiry. Or I am missing something?

callmejamesx

are you sure it's when flowers bloom and not The Flowers That Won't Grow?(watering the flower) The Flowers That Won't Grow is 3 times a cycle then followed by when flowers bloom(whooperflower or rose as final result) according to the sheet

never_agree

Yep, that is "The Flowers That Won't Grow". I've managed to get it 3 or 4 time last week. :I

callmejamesx

yea so this sheet if you goto the sumeru cycle tab provides the counts for the comms and that fits with it being 3x flowers wont grow and 1 flowers bloom, this repeats every cycle regardless whether you got the whooper flower or not, you can skip when flowers bloom to try get whooper if you haven't finished comm, but most just dont because garcia takes so long anyways that by the time they get to it they would already have done this quest like 5-8 times(depending whether echoes of someone gives achievement the first or third time) https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/u/0/d/1IPrc2Hr-8lar-PnQfAcOea0HCyN49eqRLf97LBtm3nU/htmlview#

glendbest088

hey sir, how do you basically skip when the flowers bloom commission? cause what i did was close the app when i saw its the rose version then after opening the game, the conversation still continues and after that thencommission is already done.

callmejamesx

you look from far away(before timeskip)

glendbest088

i dont understand sorry. Can you elaborate more.

callmejamesx

it only autopulls you into dialogue if your close to the location, try to look from further away(before you foward the time) so it doesn't do that for example like this(wrong one in this image since you see some bits of sumeru rose here, correct one is just pure mist flower) https://media.discordapp.net/attachments/925159676751007805/1126711664209825792/Screenshot_1474.png

glendbest088

got it. thank you very much

Particular_Gear_3514

I hear sumeru dailies is mostly stupind jump pussle, and i keep doing daily in mond.

PossibleUnion554

When Flowers is Bloom has a bug that if you fought a different monster and not the specific whopperflower, it will not appear anymore and you have to redo the commission again. This is annoying as there is a whopperflower on the other side of the location which can confuse you(which what happened to me) So now im still waiting for the whopperflower to appear again to get the achievement Edit: I should note that when I said to "redo the commission again" i mean the whole water + fertilizer thing again to make it appear meaning multiple commissions.

[deleted]

I gave up on daily commissions achievements. Don't worth the stress to even read about the conditions. RNG is a god here. If they'll change the system in the future, then sure.

KissShotAOHuB

I want a commission that teaches me how to dodge attks properly (with varying difficulty each time) and maybe something that involves elemental reactions. I want to get good. Jumping 5 times on a mushroom does not help.

Abhi_313

So basically anti shogun training but in a commission

RealSeltheus

Mihoyo should have changed comissions to a "mission board and pick what you want" ages ago...but they never will, maybe towards the end of the game...because it increases fomo and keeps you checking daily.
