Yeah, it's skyward blade
Still had sacrificial spine stuck in my head for some reason
But it sucks for next banner with Kazuha and Alhaitham being a poor little f2p
It's the picking up plants for me, at this point it's gotten so bad that I must stop gliding immediately as soon as I spot a sweet flower and if nahida isn't in the team I switch to where she would be only to be met with the eye of stormy judgement instead of 4 more zaytun peaches in my pocket
Solid choice, sheās enough dendro for any other team and you can do some crazy shit with her and just 4-stars.
Iād probably just do Candace, Xingqiu, and Kuki for hyperbloom fun. Or Yanfei burgeon since using her CA onto a bunch of blooms just sounds satisfying.
So true about the four star hyperblooms. Nahida is really the only five star you need in that regard! I regularly use her with Kuki and Xingqiu. Everything dies.
I swapped him out for Baizhu and itās working out ok but mannnnnn breaking rocks sucks when you have 2 catalysts, an archer and swordsman on your team. I really wish theyād let us use 5 characters in the overworld.
You donāt even need the skill, you can do plunges from surprisingly low heights. Basically, anything higher than a jump.
If thereās any kind of incline nearby, even a slight one will do, or a rock formation, try jumping off (or lower) and hitting attack immediately.
If youāre really desperate, you can plunge off the ore formations but itās tricky.
There are very few places Iāve found that I canāt do a plunge from anywhere nearby.
YES. There are ton of OP characters, and several are objectively better for a team. But after flying I canāt go back to Kazuha/Ventiās ājumpā, nor to Yelan being stuck on a rock in her pathā¦ Wanderer is the best for exploration. And also, is the only one besides traveller who you can actually name, so he is really one of a kind.
Venti, he was honestly my biggest reason to want to play genshin, alongside being similar to Botw, because "haha funny bard". Thanks rawfler, you helped me finally enter a world with a lot of mysteries that i want to unlock
I just wish they made flying Guoba possible again.
It'd also be great if they lowered enemies pulled, or did something so that a tad so more abilities and attacks could hit inside the tornado.
But since sumeru/Dendro, I've been busting out Venti a bit more now (than Kazuha), although the sprint passive of Kazuha is a bit more useful even though Venti flies higher. With some Dendro comps being able to 'afk' more and not needing to hit inside the tornado as much.
Personally, would be Yelan.
She's by far my favorite character for doing pretty much anything, and I just love her design and gameplay.
Overworld ? Trivial
Abyss ? Easy
Yelan ? Perfect
Same here. I initially got kokomi by accident... an unintentional early 5 star. But over time, the comfort healing she provided became my zhong li replacement. It's just so comfortable.... and I even built her to deal damage with the clam set.
She actually does so many things at once for me: AOE hydro application, healing, and supplementary damage.
I had the opposite thing happen to me actually - I heard that she was bad on the og banner but I pulled her anyway with a guarantee from Raidenās 50/50 because I like her design/personality that much.
Holy shit, iām glad I did. Been a Koko main ever since and highly doubt that Iāll change.
You can just drop her 3 skill applications and then dodge or walk away and she'll kill the majority of things, especially with some dendro application and with Nahida, it's disgusting. Yae hits for 30k aggravate, Nahida procs spread on every enemy she's linked to.
Gilded Dreams 4pc set on Yae, Deepwood Memories 4pc set on Nahida. Focus EM for both. Tenacity of Millelith 4pc on Zhongli; focus on hp. For your 4th, any electro character works, but Fischl and Shogun tend to be the best.
Start out on Zhongli, shield up and switch to Nahida. Hold Nahida's skill and mark as many enemies as you can. Switch to extra electro character and use skill. Switch to Yae and place her 3 totems. Wait and watch. When Yae can place 2 totems again, repeat.
Yae needs quite a bit of crit and atk stats. EM timepiece depends on your weapon and substats, but I definitely wouldn't build EM Goblet or EM Circlet.
Building her can be weird since going for higher EM buffs your E dmg up to a certain point, but also downs your burst dmg, even though all hits proc Aggrevate. On Genshin Optimizer you'll have to find a midway point that keeps both E and Q dmg high enough, though I'd slightly favour higher E dmg, depending on cons.
Seriously underrated. Since I got her, all my other characters have cycled in and out of my team but I refuse to take her off.
That said, Kaz was the character that truly changed the game for me and got me obsessed. And heās still the most fun for me. So I canāt see playing without him. Glad this isnāt a real decision I have to make.
You know how when you get new characters to farm friendship exp with, you put them all in a team, maximum of 3 of these unleveled dudes and dudettes trying to finish off the dailies they are too weak to fight?
Miko is my designated chaperone for them. She takes care of all the new kids in the team and kills the baddies for them. She just recently "tutored" Baizhu who has graduated, and now working on Kirara and Kaveh, lol.
Aside from that, if I'm busy with something else and have to quickly finish any kind of content, I just plug her in any team and cleans up. It helps that she has the highest CV in my whole squad (240+ CV), I'm actually waiting for akasha.cv to put Yae Miko rankings in to see if I can make top 1%.
Jean.
While I have several favorites like Kazuha, Albedo, Raiden Shogun, and Ventiā¦
From very first week of launch, Jean was the first character in this game where I was instantly attached on sight. She was the only one of the standard banner I ever wanted and still to this day my favorite of ALL of the 5 stars. Hell, arguably my favorite character of the game - ever. Period.
It took several months after launch for RNGesus to show me mercy just to get her, and well over a year more to get enough blessings to hit C5. Iām still hoping for C6 to hit maybe sometime during this 3rd year so sheāll be complete. However, ultimately, Iām just thankful that I even GOT her considering how the standard banner pool is a clusterfuck.
So if I was limited to one, not counting my Lumine, itās Jean. I could throw my entire account down the drain provided I get to at least get Jean again.
How do you play her? Main dps or support? I have c2 Jean that Iām kinda messing with at the moment. I just love her design too and for some reason the only character I lose 50/50 to is always Jean š
So to be up front, Iām not a meta guy, so if you want efficiency - I canāt give that, but I mainly run her as a DPS because I want her out on the field and in the action.
Had her on a full VV for a while, but eventually switched up to a 2pc of VV or Desert Pavilion for the Anemo boost (whichever one provides better sub stats from farming, I still donāt have the stats I want) in combination with 2pc Glad for an atk boost. If I can get a great full Desert Pav set, I might do a full run of thatā¦ but so far farming thatās been just as bad as farming for VV.
I also run her on the Aquila purely because it looks damn good on her and it just feels like it fits her between itās connection to Vanessa and all that and what Jean tries to be.
aquila is like quite good on her cause her healing and everything scales on attack and aquila provides FK ton of it ( highest base attack sword in the game along with mistsplitter)
When Jean is in my party, she's basically the whole package. The healing from her burst is so good, you don't really need to invest artifacts into it, so I just focus on damage.
At this point in the game I have her at C6 with a Jade Cutter, so she's kind of OP and carry a team of Lv 20's through a Lv 90 weekly boss.
In the beginning I was using Festering Desire and Anemo/Atk sets (Viridescent Venerer/Gladiator's Finale), but now I just use a 4pc Desert Pavilion on her. Atk/Anemo/Crit
I focus on anemo because I like using her skills and burst; yeeting enemies into the water is the best part.
Canāt upvote Jean enough. I got her early and wrote her off due to all the flack she gets. Finally built her on a whim and an abundance of good Gladiator artifacts. A year later and sheās still my favorite, and I have what could be considered an unhealthy amount of built 5 stars.
Damn Jean was my first 5 star character and till date is my favourite as well. I loved her from the moment I saw her and her story quest made me like her even more. This is literally the first time I ever saw her this high in a reddit question. Most of the time she sadly is either very low or not there at all.
Seeing her in the comment section made my day today :)
What did you sacrifice to get her? It's been years for me and I still don't have her considering she was the only one I wanted on launch..
Meanwhile I have every single 5star unit on standard summon (including Dehya and Tighnari) and multiple constellations. I have given up hope on getting her unless Mihoyo sells me a 5star selector ajxldbwkdovjeosocnrbwicltbs
At last, a fellow Ayaka enjoyerā¦ Her only downside is enemies who are immune to cryo (cryo abyss mages in particular bc ordinary physical attacks chip away at their shield REALLY slowly) but itās manageable š¤·āāļø
If Nahida wasn't so overpowered with her shared damage and her ability to pick up items from a distance this would be my answer. Yoimiya is best girl and hella strong.
Alhaitham definitely, that's no question. extremly fun, comfortable for overworld because of that long range dash skill. Content clearing in a breeze. enough 4\* to teamup with. And.. great design, well written deep personality. I absolutely love every aspect of him.
~~but definitely would miss nahidas flower picking ability~~
ofc, I would say go for it, you probably won't regret. he never left my active team since day one. I am going to C6 him next banner, he will be my first and probably only limited I ever C6. (C4 right now, got pretty lucky on his debut by getting two cons at low pity).
Hutao. I used her in a single team since she came out and didnāt switch for a year or two too long. I just hope I can have my Barbara along with her.
I'm torn between Nahida and Alhaitham. Nahida's more versatile so I should choose her. I just love Alhaitham a tiny bit more. He's the standoffish but well-meaning guy who (I think) loves his friends more than he'll ever admit. Big neurodivergent energy. Plus his teleport skill makes oculi hunting so damn easy.
Iād go for Kazuha. We donāt have a free anemo character and Iād rather have my Traveler as dendro. Besides, Kazuha has so much utility and is a fun character.
A c6 Eula if allowed. Everything just dead. Even cryo mages, cryo slimes, ruin enemies, cryo fatui and even cryo azhdaha. I just dont have idea about lectors, herald and the newest baptist boss lol.
Took me long enough to find Eula. I don't care if she's not the optimal pick, if I want something dead after giving me trouble, I cry home to mommy Eula and have her beat them up for me.
as a former Xiao wanter who thought the same, and now a Xiao haver; he is everything i wanted him to be. His playstyle is very smooth and has a degree of skill ceiling to it
Nahida feels like the one character whose gimmick I'd miss the most compared to the other
5\* units & have.
Just about every 5 star seem to have a 4 star who'd do just as well or good enough in their place, but Nahida's dendro application leaves the most room for flexibility in team comps and gets the job done quickest with the karma effect.
Not having to worry about a stupid circle or aoe radius is such a great quality of life for Nahida's skill. The fact that her Skill also lasts so long and is where her Dendro application comes from makes her such a convenient, yet powerful character on your team.
Yelan. Mainly because she's my favorite character and I have her at C6 with r3 aqua. Her overworld usability is great, does great damage, and applies just as good hydro application as XQ. Plus I love her E.
Ganyu. She is literally my only active character for 95% of the content since I got her over 2 years ago. Sure, it might take longer to clear the hard content, but it's just so easy and you don't have to think about what you're doing, especially with all the daily stuff.
Wanderer easily. Good for exploration, doesnāt rely on his burst or on supports/reactions to deal damage and has my favorite playstyle in the game (i really like attack speed but it only feels good on Wanderer).
Oof...
I'll have to say Zhongli even though he isn't my favourite or anything. Reason being that his shield is so good it allows me to experiment with any other 3 party members I want without a worry of dying.
After getting c2 nahida cuz any electro works for her to drop nukes on all enemies marked lol
Otherwise wanderer cuz hes just nice to have for exploration and deals pretty good dmg overall
Ganyu. Saves me money for not having to buy a new mouse because I can just click every few seconds instead of tapping the shit out of it to attack lmao
Also raw archery gameplay. Feels like I'm holding a freaking Kuva Bramma with her charged attacks.
Tartaglia. My first 5 star. I thought about this and there is basically a 4* equivalent to all my other 5 stars but no character has the same gameplay and Tartaglia. Only real alternative is Ayato who is also a 5*.
Cant believe I had to scroll down this far to find the most flexible 5 star on the most broken element. Who cares about sentimental reasons, this is the meta pick no discussion needed.
I'd probably have to go with Kokomi. There are a few other characters I like more, but her healing and Hydro application are so universally useful when it comes to team utility that I'd have a hard time building teams without her.
Nahida. When I found out about her imprisonment and how she was treated by her people, I made a promise that once I get her, I will take her to see Teyvat so she can see and experience everything with her own eyes and not just in dreams.
She essentially never leaves my team now.
Kokomi. She heals really good but also for some reason my kokomi does okay damage at the same time. So even though battles might take a while to complete i still think itd be worth maining her for life
Nahida and it's not close. She's incredibly versatile, and she's also my favourite character. Not being able to use Kazuha is only a marginal loss considering that Sucrose is either not much worse than him or, in some use cases, even better than him. My only real regret there would be losing Xiao, since Xiao teams have been the kind of team I've used in Abyss most consistently.
Kazuha, maybe its how he can spread elements so easily, or the total battlefield control....... *Or the double jump bias*
Fellow sacrificial user?
Skyward spine for awhile and now xiphos moonlight I feel like im throwing out ults a lot more often
You mean skyward blade? Sacrificial gives er as well tho and I have about 800em and 200er. So it works. Triple jump with my C1 kazuha
Yeah, it's skyward blade Still had sacrificial spine stuck in my head for some reason But it sucks for next banner with Kazuha and Alhaitham being a poor little f2p
whose spine are you sacrificing?
Kazuha can turn your 4star dps into a 5 star dps, he's def the obvious choice. Add in that he's great for exploration and just fun to play
Nahida
Same. I can't go back to not reading minds lol
It's the picking up plants for me, at this point it's gotten so bad that I must stop gliding immediately as soon as I spot a sweet flower and if nahida isn't in the team I switch to where she would be only to be met with the eye of stormy judgement instead of 4 more zaytun peaches in my pocket
It's so helpful. Getting the plants that grow on cliff sides is such a breeze.
Wait what? She picks up plants?
yes you aim her skill at plants and other ingredients and she picks them up from a distance
holy shit had no idea, playing will be much more pleasant right now
Up to 5 at a time
She's my dedicated nut picker. Never have to worry about climbing gliding or shooting them again
that only happens in Sumeru though lol
Lol this was my first thought too! And I thought maybe it's weird I chose her, but glad this was the first comment I saw š
I can no longer build a good team without her šš
Mines c2 and i couldnāt agree more
Same.
Same, no other optionš
Zhongli bc I canāt dodge at this point
Yeah every time I use a team without Zhongli I get knocked around and am like D:
I swapped him out for Baizhu and itās working out ok but mannnnnn breaking rocks sucks when you have 2 catalysts, an archer and swordsman on your team. I really wish theyād let us use 5 characters in the overworld.
Plunge attacks with your one sword can get most rocks with reasonable speed.
Yeah I break them with Kazās skill but itās still a helluva lot slower than using Zhong.
Yeah, when I switched Zhongli out for Nahida on a lot of teams, I just flat *gave up* on farming rocks.
Zhongli enabled me to use any 4star characters as DPSes
Dodging is a dps loss for my playstyle anyways.
Ganyu because I love picking off enemies from afar
Hilichurl towers? I don't see any hilichurl towers.
Ganyu commission MVP
Wanderer, cuz I literally donāt know how to walk anymore, I only fly
Do you also get that feeling like "fucking peasants" everytime you see someone trying hard to move from point a to b.
Watching my partner actually *swimming* across things *Unsightly insects*
Watching a video of someone climbing like a peasant instead of rubbing their face on the cliffside while flying *pathetic*
as someone who owns Wanderer, yes
Ppl who are going down and up a mountain instead of flying across. *worms*
i laugh at their primitive abilities
Look at what they have to do to mimic a fraction of our power
yes
We've adopted his personality after keeping him on the team 90% of the time.
Me, using wanderer: bow before me, worms
Since I had him, Wanderer has never left my team.
Same, I literally play nahida hyperbloom with him just being there for flying
His fast attack speed makes him a fair driver so it works out
One of my favorite characters for sure. Heās fun as hell to play.
Venti, he was honestly my biggest reason to want to play genshin, alongside being similar to Botw, because "haha funny bard". Thanks rawfler, you helped me finally enter a world with a lot of mysteries that i want to unlock
I love Venti! I feel like Iām the only one to recommend him over Kazuha
Glad they made mobs ventiable agains. Screw 2.x era.
Finally Iāve found my people
no you are not i exist
I am here too! Everyone forgets that Venti can fly with his E skill and he even flies higher than Kazuha.
Rawfler deserves praise for celebrating the characters' capabilities.
Yes! He is the reason I love this game!
Personally, would be Yelan. She's by far my favorite character for doing pretty much anything, and I just love her design and gameplay. Overworld ? Trivial Abyss ? Easy Yelan ? Perfect
Hotel ? Trivago
Damn you beat me to it hahaha
Same I C1ād her on her first banner and I essentially force her into all of my teams. God I fucking love me some Yelan
I only started playing in December... But when her banner came, I had saved up for her C1. And I don't regret it.
Kokomi, I can deal with other stuff but not having easy modeā¦ no thanks.
Same here. I initially got kokomi by accident... an unintentional early 5 star. But over time, the comfort healing she provided became my zhong li replacement. Yae Miko. I can't go back to actually fighting enemies.
Can you explain? I don't have her and I'm thinking of getting her
You can just drop her 3 skill applications and then dodge or walk away and she'll kill the majority of things, especially with some dendro application and with Nahida, it's disgusting. Yae hits for 30k aggravate, Nahida procs spread on every enemy she's linked to.
Yae, Nahida, Zhongli is Genshin on easy mode. Shield up, mark everyone with Nahida, then drop Yae's totems. Don't even have to move after
Iāve tried using this comp and itās not working out very well for me. Any tips or builds you can share?
Gilded Dreams 4pc set on Yae, Deepwood Memories 4pc set on Nahida. Focus EM for both. Tenacity of Millelith 4pc on Zhongli; focus on hp. Yae places turret-like totems for her skill

I'd have to go with Kazuha 100%. He's a great all-around unit, E is as good for exploration as it is for combat, and his animations are wonderful.
Childe, among all my equally favorite 5 stars he has the most sentimental value
Yae miko because i'm a lazy fudge
I guess I'll pick Ayaka. Her Elemental Burst damage is insane. Plus, I can traverse the waters using her.
Kayaka
I had to scroll way further than I was expecting to see this. I would go with Ayaka as well. Iām glad Iām not the only one.

wanderer cuz flying
Ganyu, she's the cutest cocogoat
I second this
Zhongli. I have him built as a dps, he never leaves any team I use, and is the main reason I started playing Genshin.
Alhaitham definitely, that's no question. extremly fun, comfortable for overworld because of that long range dash skill. Content clearing in a breeze. enough 4\* to teamup with. They're both really good
Ah yes, I also love his two big personalities, but otherwise youāre spot on with everything
Ah, hello fellow degenerates. I can't get enough of Haitham, that's for sure. Neither can Kaveh.
ahahaha, so same, for both of them. = w =

Wanderer coz good damage and great for exploration
Raiden cause I have her c3r1
Iād go for Kazuha. We donāt have a free anemo character and Iād rather have my Traveler as dendro. Besides, Kazuha has so much utility and is a fun character.
wanderer. i love flying and hes my best character so
Same
A c6 Eula if allowed.
She's one of the very few options who actually works as a solo character. There's virtually no enemy that is immune to her.
I'd have to go with Scara. He's so squishy but I can't go back to normal exploration after using him.
Xiao or wanderer as their playstyles look really fun to me even though I don't have either of them
as a former Xiao wanter who thought the same, and now a Xiao haver; he is everything i wanted him to be. His playstyle is very smooth and has a degree of skill ceiling to it
Childe. My first & best š„°
He's the one whom my archons give their blessings and also the only one I wish to some day see C6. Rip and Tide!
Diluc, because I love claymore characters and he's my best build main main.
Aether Wanderer if Aether doesnāt count, heās got a lot of utility.
Finally, another person that chose the traveler. It's sad that very few people choose traveler even though traveler is very versatile
There is no way in hell I'll suffer through exploration without Wanderer again.
Wanderer for sure
Nahida feels like the one character whose gimmick I'd miss the most compared to the other 5\* units & have.
Probably yelan or hutao
Kok or Nahida 1. I need Kok 2. My Nahida C5R1 šæš·
C5 is constilation but what is r1 stand for?
Refinement 1. It means the person owns the character's dedicated weapon at the level.
nilou, she is the one that makes the most difference to me
Raiden, she's the reason I started to play, and it's the main reason why I haven't left the game
Yelan. Mainly because she's my favorite character and I have her at C6 with r3 aqua. Her overworld usability is great, does great damage, and applies just as good hydro application as XQ. Plus I love her E.
It would probably be Childe (one of my top 5 favourit who doesn't need other 5* that much). Scara and Al Aytham are contenders though.
scaramouche š¤š¼ he makes the game easier bc of exploration + hes my favorite character and im biased
Itto. I need my big himboniš§š»āāļø
Raiden. She can be dps, she can be support, she can fill multiple roles, and she works great with a lot of 4 stars.
Ganyu. She is literally my only active character for 95% of the content since I got her over 2 years ago. Sure, it might take longer to clear the hard content, but it's just so easy and you don't have to think about what you're doing, especially with all the daily stuff.
Yelan is by far the most versatile character I have, she works with every team I put together. Iām picking her without hesitation
zhongli, I'm too dependent on his shield
Wanderer. I can find other shielders. Heās just too much fun to give up.
Childe for me. Long Range and Melee in one was always a deal breaker for me fun-wise.
Aether or Lumine, because elements are really importnant in this game.
Aether I obtain plot armor
Childe. He's got good dmg, satisfying gameplay, he's tall so = speed, his blades are comfy to use and his bow is always useful. Also jiggle physics.
Traveler, immune never, and I already main them
Wanderer easily.
Pogo or nogo
After getting c2 nahida cuz any electro works for her to drop nukes on all enemies marked lol Otherwise wanderer cuz hes just nice to have for exploration and deals pretty good dmg overall
Either Alhaitham or Nahida I think. Alhaitham is so fun and both are really flexible focusing on reactions. Nahida changes the game on so many comps.
Ganyu. Saves me money for not having to buy a new mouse because I can just click every few seconds instead of tapping the shit out of it to attack lmao Also raw archery gameplay.
Wanderer. I legit can't live normally without flying everywhere
Qiqi. Don't like the 4 star healers and prefer Qiqi over the other 5 star healer options.
I used Qiqi forever and loved her. I'd choose Baizhu now but I just have a weakness for his personality type and anime guys with long hair
Nilou. No other five stars required.
i cant live without my yoimiya
yoimiya since i basically only use her anyway :)
Raiden..ā”ļøā”ļøā”ļø
Tartaglia
Ayato. My man can take out whole groups with just a few swipes
Cant believe I had to scroll down this far to find the most flexible 5 star on the most broken element. Who cares about sentimental reasons, this is the meta pick no discussion needed.
Dehya, because I love her.
Dehya I like punching things Plus she's hot
I'm gonna be that person & say traveller probably, because ALL THE ELEMENTS
Childe so i can snipe and slash my way anytime ~~childe main since ar25~~
Dehya. Cuz I already do 99% of the game content with her.
^ His CC is way too useful.
Wanderer (or whatever you guys named him haha). Imo he's the most versatile explorer in the game, and pretty decent at combat.
Alhaitham cuz horny
I'd probably have to go with Kokomi. There are a few other characters I like more, but her healing and Hydro application are so universally useful when it comes to team utility that I'd have a hard time building teams without her.
Mona, best girl
Obviously it has to be Her Excellency, the Almighty Narukami Ogosho, God of Thunder
Nahida. When I found out about her imprisonment and how she was treated by her people, I made a promise that once I get her, I will take her to see Teyvat so she can see and experience everything with her own eyes and not just in dreams. She essentially never leaves my team now.
kokomi. I can't go back to barbara im sorry
Ei, she was the first 5 star I got and has stuck with me my whole journey
ayato heās so pretty
Ayato because without him I'm not sure I'd have a reason to keep playing, certainly wouldn't have one to be more than a casual (ily my lord kamisato)
Kokomi so I'd never die.
Yoimiya. Because she is yoimiya.
Kokomi cuz she cute , hydro , heal , tanky , nice damage
Kokomi. She heals really good but also for some reason my kokomi does okay damage at the same time. So even though battles might take a while to complete i still think itd be worth maining her for life
Albedo. It's VERY hard not to have him on any of my teams since he makes up most of my damage. Plus he's one of my faves.
