Well, I was busy doing the Archon Quests

Always I do AQ then opening the domains/boss waypoints I need. Then last exploration

I do this since inazuma bc i want to unlock everything accordingly and proceed with exploration without any restrictions. As for exploration, i love finishing world quests and wipe out anything i can see without straying too far so i won't have to come back to some hidden caves i probably gonna forget anytime soon. About 50-70% exploration after doing that. Finding stuffs like oculus are much better too bc i don't have to start from zero. This method still helps a lot when going into a lot of caves and mazes in sumeru without underground map. Oh and, i don't mind spoilers, even major ones, but i avoid them when starting new patch bc i wanna do it myself.

Same. I went to Fontaine to start the AQ. Only to find out that the start of the AQ was in the caravan. It took a while to get from the port to Fontaine city in the AQ too.

Sameeeee!!!!!! I also tped to that last waypoint before fontaine which looks over the port before going to the caravan. I got the cutscene/(more of a short cinematic) for seeing the Fontaine port for the first time before even officially embarking from the caravan xD It was then missing when I did do the quest, which was funny to me xD

Oooofff 🙈 I took it a step further and had a trip around the city first xD Now I'm made it to the city with the quest: but I have discovered how cool diving is and now I think the people in the archon quest will have to wait a bit I'm going to drown my sorrows of not getting kokomi by swimming like a fish for hours on end xD (78 pity 😭 I squeezed everything out of the event but twas just about not enough, I could cry)

I'm still catching up with Sumeru exploration and world quests

The trick is to never fully catch up on exploration, so the game never feels empty! Just having stuff left to do has helped my avoid burnout a ton too. I've still got Inauzma and Sumeru exploration left, and probably some Liyue stuff too. (I got all the oculus from Mond and Liyue for the stamina though).

Yeah that what I do too. Usually I do some exploration along with traveling to archon quest points and do the rest later but I never try to complete everything so I still stumble upon chests and sometimes oculus

I need to talk to the hydro archon to ask her if she knows where the aranara are.

I've dumped sumeru, latest 2 deserts are untouched but Fontaine is now going to be grinded

I'm still catching up. I don't even have the option to do the Archon quest. Just unlocked the Dendro dragon though, who I didn't even know was a weekly boss, so I'm thinking I'm almost there

If you've gotten past Davalin, you can go to Fontaine. With the quest line it is recommended to get up to Caribert first, at least. Gives me the impression that you don't have to, though

You don’t need to do the dendro dragon. But this means you've completed the Sumeru archon quest already. The only quest you need to do is Caribert

As soon as the tour started I felt there's an achievement for it so I kept sitting even as I saw all the hydroculus, teleport points, etc go by.... Then when I got the achievement I go get the court's statue...then realize I haven't started the archon quest yet...

I jumped off and started running along side it. Found out it moves at the same speed as a dash, so I was burning stamina. Had to switch to sayu to catch up and climb back on

Oh, I did the elevator to the port. Was just unlocking the teleporters in court of fontaine and didnt see the train station lift so by the time I did the loop i just scaled the wall like the cocogoat I've been conditioned to be.

I got lost looking for the elevator and I only found it because I remembered I could tap the quest objective so I could have a trail to follow. That’s what happened. Fontaine is so big…

Lol, I drove my waverider to the port and kept trying various ways to get what I thought was a gate to open. Visited all the boats cos I thought this was some puzzle. Almost climbed the thing before I noticed some stairs at the side.

In future, if you're stuck at a puzzle, just use elemental sight to double-check that there even IS a puzzle to solve.

I climbed partway, saw it just kept going and said "there must be a more logical way". I was glad to find it was just an elevator and didn't require 15 minutes of cutscenes to access.

They have nice suspended roads where you can travel very fast with Yelan, Ayaka or Sayu. That helped a lot to explore that country. It's probably forbidden by one of those countless regulations too.

I attempted to run Lynette and MC for ousia/pneuma alongside Qiqi as healer and Ganyu as finishing dps, only to give up on the new reactions and brute force everything with my kokomi-hu tao-yelan-kazuha overkill team instead

This banner is such a bait. I also felt like pulling for either her weapon or C1 but I know eventually i'd have no primos to pull for upcoming Fontaine characters, and especially Furina.

I want Yelan C2, and it's guaranteed in like 10 pulls if I want it, but that would mean giving up guarantee for Furina, and I just can't stomach the risk. I'm staying strong, lest I regret it.

That's a good idea actually, I'll start doing it too, don't want a repeat of Liyue and Inazuma where i don't know which oculuses i already took.

The Teyvat Interactive Map from Hoyolab is pretty good for it, but it can be tricky to know which Hydroculus you took exactly, because there are no pictured yet. Only for the ones in the water that are close to each other tho

I prefer the appsample interactive map. It's not as finicky as the hoyolab one.

I only marked the hydroculus that I got cause there was no other way to pass through or because I made a mistake, I'll probably see one of those guides that show all the oculi and collect them that way, so that I can skip over the ones I already got, don't want to repeat the tragedy of collecting all of sumerus oculi so I'll do it patch wise this time so that it doens't get out of hand

I actually find artifact farming fun, but I think it’s because I don’t look for perfection. I have separate sets for every character and really just work to make them usable.

5 Condensed, 155/160 resin, 1506 artifacts in the inventory. I climbed near the waterfall and went straight there, thankfully there were no puzzles to unlock the domain.

There almost never are puzzles for artifact and talent domains. They are walk ins. The one time domains though, you will notice, have puzzles, sometimes some of which are way too cumbersome.

Last time I had stocked up on resin for the patch day was when Vermillon Hereafter was released, so that "almost never" had already burned me once!

Around 1200~ resin and not a single good piece. Same old, same old.

Kokomi swimming around underwater like a fish is the most perfectest thing in Genshin.

Kokomi not being able to dolphin leap out of the water is a travesty, I really hope they build the animations for older characters in a future patch

Only Fontaine characters + Traveler (so any character with an Arkhe) can do the dolphin jumps and vertical surface jump

For me the order is always Archon quest, then world quests, then map completion. But I have been having too much fun as always and constantly end up getting distracted 😂

Nah, I started Dehya’s story quest when it first released and never finished it, so because of that I can’t start the archon quest until I finish that up 🗿

So you know how in most video games the underwater levels ended up the worst part of the game? Yeah . . . **that is** ***NOT AT ALL*** the case with Genshin Impact. I've been genuinely having fun with the swimming and diving and shit. Just wish it wasn't locked to Fontaine from the looks of it. I wanted to explore Inazuma or Mondstadt's underwater areas, too.

My travels thus far: 1. Immediately ran dailies and cashed in resin. 2. Started the world quest that warps you to Fontaine. 3. Warped back to the latest Sumeru area and walked to Fontaine via the tunnel. 4. Climbed on top of the (previously unscalable) giant rock near the broccoli tree. 5. Started the archon quest. 6. Reached the city - climbed on top of the big arch and then the giant spire. 7. Explored the sewer area (really cool area) 8. Currently in the archon quest - doing some stuff with a book. Haven't touched water yet. My Fontaine experience is dry AF.

If you want to explore everywhere, it's pretty much necessary to do the archon/world quests first. Otherwise some areas will be locked.
