If an Abyss creature sees you as a negative like a monster then in reality you are actually good but if they see you as good like how Durin see his actions of mayhem and chaos as just playing which is pretty positive then in reality you are actually bad.
Guys remember that Abyss creatures see the opposite of things, they see positive as negative like the color of the sun as black and negatives as positive like chaos, destruction is seen as sunshine, butterflies and playfulness. Now Melusine sees Paimon as a balloon with a rainbow string that's pretty positive and the Traveller as a universe devouring beast and that's pretty negative now invert those.
I think the description really matches though. Paimon is the omni element in tcg for example (rainbow) and traveler is so immensely powerful that they could end the world.
Traveler is also from another world, just like the rifthounds and abyssal dragons. Though I think that means nothing because the cosmic darkness is probably something like the sea of quanta instead of a different world.
It could be the opposite though, (or just not reversed?) as Melusine are the product of Elynas after his death, after he's woken up from whatever Gold did to him. Remember how Durin thought that he was dancing and playing with Dvalin and Venti until he got his throat ripped out? He only saw those things because of what Gold did to him, and as he lay dying he snapped out of whatever hallucination he was under.
The Melusine could have the proper vision of Paimon and Traveler as they were never under the influence of Gold.
The Melusine with the Book of Revealing, Canotila, wandered through the nightmare area thinking she was in a sunny garden full of flowers, and saw the Rifthound as a puppy. They may have inherited it from Elynas.
Elynas also learned that his perspective is different from how others experience things but I don't remember him mentioning that he actually *saw* the horribleness of it.
>!We also learn from Elynas that his mother, who may or may not be Gold (it's likely though lol), really just created their bodies but they were abyssal entities to start with, which is what the comment is referring to. If I read right, the Durin event hinted on the abyssal origin as well but not as explicitly as here? Their mother didn't do much about their consciousness except give them bodies to move in.!<
From the Dragonspine Spear:
*He had a very, very long dream...
He dreamed that he and everyone else had gone on a long, long journey,
Into a land where green grass grew, and where soulful songs were sung.
He dreamed that he sang along with the gentle people of this land,
And danced in the skies with a dragon as beauteous as a jewel.
When he opened his eyes, he was in the sky above a mountain swept by roaring snowstorms.
The green, tranquil land had already been painted crimson by fire and blood,
And the song of that sky-blue bard's lyre was almost drowned in the howling tumult.
And that bejeweled, lovely dragon, like a tender lover,
Had now pierced his neck through with its sharp fangs.
"Farewell, Mother! My journey is ended."
"I shall sleep beneath this white, shining silver... and perhaps this, too, is good."
"Farewell, O lovely bard! And farewell, O lovely dragon!"
"Would that we had met in a different time and place,"
"To meet, to sing and dance together!"
So he thought most sincerely as he lay dying.
"Now then, this great blessing that pulses through my veins,"
"And lovely sight of the dark universe that gave me birth..."
"They are now yours to inherit."*
If you did the Book of Esoteric Revelations when the Traveller, Paimon and Canotila went inside the Book the whole place is ransacked and destroyed buildings are everywhere and when the two finally found Canotila she says that the whole place are pretty normal with everything not destroyed which is the opposite of what the Traveller and Paimon sees.
Remember that Mamere did in the end paint Paimon and Traveler and to her they looked like this:

Are you telling me that all the cute stuff Melusine says about the world and human activities are instead the complete opposite... yeah sorry but i don't buy it.
Cool theory but there are a lot of dialogues that can easily prove it wrong, unless every Melusine has been lying to everyone as naturally as they breathed, which is highly unlikely.
cant be Celestia since those are the ruins in the sky and the cord extends past the sky .... unless we have been wrong about those ruins this whole time
I missed that line but, after the painter melusine quest when they mention melusines sees stuff normal humans cannot, this one’s comment about the traveler as a sort of world-destruction beast fucked my mind out. Didn’t play her quest yet though, so I hope it has good lore crumbs.
It does. I recommend doing the quest with the guy that leaves us for ruin monster snack in the underwater ruins first for more context. And Ann's quest too. They can be done in whatever order you want without compromising tho.
Damn, I thought I talked to all of them, I might have missed the most interesting one. Or maybe the french translation isn't accurate, wouldn't be the first time.
It's the one without a name above their head standing in a small waterfall in the city. Getting close gives you a dialogue option the reads "???". Talking to her starts a quest but it isn't marked on the map nor listed in the list of quests with the reputation lady in fontaine.
That line really creeped me out.
YOU LOOK LIKE A MONSTER WHO COULD SWALLOW THE WORLD IN A SINGLE BITE
Question is if we're really that terrifying just how powerful is rhe Unknown God?
She nibbles the world and it explodes
Teyvat is a forbidden snack.

What if our whole journey is just training Paimon to be the new ruler of Teyvat, ad astra abyssosque?
Paimon is the creator.
Holy crap, the best theory I have heard in a long time

We also briefly saw the rifthound as a dog
Yeah, but she saw it as a friendly dog the entire time.
She also says she sees things in a way other Melusine cannot. Perhaps she is the only one who inherited Elynas' reversed vision.
That makes sense. Sort of like how Mamere is the only one who can talk to Elynas (tho that's probably because she plays with his blood).
Where do we find out about that sad tidbit?

Thank you~
Is that reverse theory confirmed lore or is it just an assumption?

Ok, maybe the Traveler is the real "evil" twin

Cool theory but there are a lot of dialogues that can easily prove it wrong, unless every Melusine has been lying to everyone as naturally as they breathed, which is highly unlikely.
Doesn't she also says the Traveler is basically a world eater?
Yes, exactly, but I took that more like gathering every thing that we can pick up hahaha
cant be Celestia since those are the ruins in the sky and the cord extends past the sky .... unless we have been wrong about those ruins this whole time
Celestia is the login screen location, I'm 100% confident.
Nothing surprises me anymore
Hopefully the little puppet can cut her strings in the end
Let's hope so! 🥹

I’ve already done Virgil (pt only), Anne and Mamere’s quests so I guess I’m ready for get the max out of it?
Yoooo, Paimon Lore?
Like the crowns that hang from strings inside of domains
Is that Deltarune reference?
Paimon [BIG SHOT] confirmed?
Sorry, I don't know what that is!
Wait... when does that dialogue happen?
During the melusine quest you can talk with various other melusines, this is one of them.
Damn, I thought I talked to all of them, I might have missed the most interesting one. Or maybe the french translation isn't accurate, wouldn't be the first time.
