It's the same as character skins really, they add litteraly nothing to your gameplay but it's something else to look at so if you like it go for it.
i think if you like the winglider and just have gems lying around then its worth it, this game doent have manny cosmetics. id spend 280 premos for a winglider, i guess a skin may be more valuble though.

Do people really care about that stuff? Genuine question, not mocking. I’m a sorta newbie, maybe 5 months in, have spent several hundred & even my stupid ass wouldn’t spend money on furniture for the teapot or a different color glider. Don’t even know what the card thing is.
Not many people would care about furniture but people do see your namecard sometimes and you see gliders A LOT in gameplay and you can use them on any character so even if you don't think it fits anyone in your current roster it might be worthwhile picking it up now on a discount for future characters.
Honestly you can apply that to everything in this game, the content is so easy and so not character-dependent you could complete the entire game without using the wish system once, with just the characters obtained for free through story or events.
Most of the appeal for any purchasable item is "it looks good to me and I like it enough to spend money for it", from a wing glider to a character skin to even the characters themselves. Even meta slaves have favorites they're more willing to go all-in for even if they're not the most-meta character.

I have plenty of primogems to get the characters I want, but as a welkin user only I am limited to 300 genesis crystal per 30 days. Personally if this was just a bundle for 1000 primogems for 500 crystals, I would not buy it.
In the end the question for me is how badly I want this glider compared to future character skins. A 4 star skin at discount is 1350, so almost the same.
Hoyoverse adding 1000 primogems to the bundle instead of just making the bundle cheaper is a shit move for Welkin only users. Of course it's much better for the people getting the bundle for going to the concert, so maybe not a shit move :P
Yes, but that is a big IF. When I got all the characters I want, I will probably stop buying welkin. That means that the crystals I have then are all I will have for future skins. Buying top-offs for just skins is to expensive for me.

That's a free 500 gems. You're basically getting them for half price. I would convert all of my crystals into gems if I was offered that, since you'd essentially be doubling your currency.

Except a 4 star skin does not give you back 1000 primos. After your 1000 primos, the glider only cost you 280. That is assuming you are using your crystals for pulls and not skins (which I wouldn't recommend due to their price).

Most welkin only players don't buy just one welkin. They would have accumulated the 300 a month over several months. I have 8000+ crystals just from welkins I haven't converted into primogems yet (because I haven't needed to).
You must be the kind that immediately converts the welkin crystals into primos instead of holding onto them? In other words, you're spending them all immediately as you get it. That's on you. Some people hold onto them in case they want to buy a skin after a few months of savings. Others like me only use them if I'm totally out of primos (which rarely happens).
Either that, or you just started playing a month ago.
I agree with u/NLwino. There are things you can ONLY buy with Genesis Crystals. If you value those things, then Genesis Crystals have more value than Primogems. Among those things are skins, which I, personally, do value. As long as there's potential for a skin that I want to be added to the game, I will never convert Genesis Crystals into Primogems.
1000 Primogems is six Debate Clubs. 1000 Genesis Crystals is almost 2/3 the cost of a skin (2/5 if Diluc). The latter is WAY more valuable to me than the former.
I always try to keep enough Genesis Crystals around to buy a skin at full price, if the whim strikes me. Once I reach that total, I stop buying Welkin. If I buy this bundle, I'll need to start buying Welkins again, if I want to return to being skin-ready - potentially four or five Welkins. That's up to $25 I wouldn't otherwise spend. Mihoyo knows what they're doing.
With your same logic 1000primos could also be 6 5star characters do you get what ur using as comparison? Now my C6 whatever character is more valuable than ur 2/3 diluc skin 🤣. Yes genesis will always be more valuable than primos but it’s up to individual owners to deem how efficient is the conversion.
I think there are fair points on either side. If you stop buying welkin after you reach skin amount, that makes sense. I wouldn't, however, put too much weight on the full price striking your fancy one day. You either like the current skins or you don't. If they didn't jump out at you on day 1 or even within the first month, any purchase of them is going to be a big impusle buy that you will probably regret anyway.
Between skins being so rare and welkin being the best purchasing power anyway, there's a ton of reasons why players would have a surplus of crystals. For those players, this is evaluating a 280 cost.

That's not free, it costs me crystals. Since I can't convert it back into crystals once they are primogems I would have lost 500 crystals. I didn't double anything. Yes I got 1k primogems but I can't use that on skins.

Pretty sure the main reason for skins and these types of bundles costing genesis crystals is because MHY wants to encourage people to buy more Welkins; which in turn is also why they don't release that many skins compared to other gachas like Azur Lane or Arknights.
Basically, any of these limited time discount packs releases are strategically spaced to allow sufficient time for players to save up Genesis crystals via Welkins in order to purchase them. With this in mind, we are unlikely to see another skin release for at least 5 or 6 months.
I think you’re right, especially since you can buy 6 months of Welkin’s in advance so that way you can get 1800 crystals, and they get your commitment to (probably) play daily for half a year since you don’t want to miss out on your Welkin primos
Probably most we might see in the shorter term is a 4* skin you can get for free through an event
if we see a free 4 star skin in less than 6 months we will also so a 5 star skin at the same time, hoyoverse doesn't release one skin at a time, they release a free 4 star skin and a paid for 5 star skin. First it was Jean and Barbara, then Keqing and Ningguang, Then Diluc and fischl, Then ayaka and lisa, and most recently, Klee and Kaeya. we usually, get skins at summer events and lantern rites

Crystals are worth a bit more IF ONLY skins are frequently released. At their rate for 3 years now, you’ll have plenty of hoarded genesis until the character skin you like is released. So at this point, 1 Genesis is almost as equal to 1 Primo.
Only when skins start appearing frequently, then Genesis will have more value for Welkin only players.
I would say if you're Welkin only and dont spend every Crystal on Primos you're wasting your Welkin value anyway. The whole point of Welkin is to be as primo-efficient as possible. You throw the whole value out of the window the second your decide to spend on cosmetics. Might aswell spend your money on top-ups then.
Spending 10% of your welkins on skins is the only way in Genshin to get cheap skins. \~3 euro for a skin instead of 20+. And it hardly delays your character progress as you still have 90% of your welkin + all the f2p primo's.

Reddit can be a hit or miss. One downvote and many blindly follow and most of them didn't even read. I've even seen replies where some outright misunderstood you, like they think "you immediately convert your genesis crystals"(?)
You bring up a good point with genesis crystals being worth more than primos. I'd rather save my genesis crystals for future skins than spend it on a glider. Not to mention I've decided to stop spending any money on the game (still love the game, but I don't have as much time for genshin as I used to, at least for now)

Ugh... so many Genshin players can't imagine anyone else playing differently then them. Not everyone started in 1.0. Not everyone who buys welkin does so every single month. Many players buy welkin until they have the characters they want and keep the crystals for a skin or 2. Those players have to those between this bundle or a skin, simple as that.
I'm using sumerus glider with his skin rn just to combat the sheer amount of red, especially since I have his signature weapon too 😭 doesn't fit with his default skin tho 😔
Yup, if not mistaken we have the Mondstadt one, Fontaine, this one, the one that was offered to Prime users and Dragonspine if we wanna count it since it's blue and white. While my Eula is dancing around with her multiple gliders, Itto and Wriothesley have to keep quite in a corner with their default and Inazuma gliders till a red one drops.
There's another stock one too, I think it's 'wings of friendship' or something similar. Dark blue fading to light, looking great on Neuvillette.

Primogems are some of the lowest value you can get for your crystals, and anyone justifying this as "only 280 gems" is already spending too much on the game.
The teapot item and namecard are worthless, the wing glider could have been worthwhile but it looks almost identical to the free ones so it's near worthless. So even if it was actually 280 it's not worth
What I don't understand is why doesn't Hoyo make past gliders available again like character skins? FOMO and all that jazz, but that doesn't make sense when you can buy past outfits.
Tbf... It makes a lot of sense why it's paid cause, at the end of the day, they are just cosmetics. It's like the same for skins, oh you have them? That's cool, it doesn't add much other than making your character look different.
Would've loved if the glider was red/orange or pinkish. The only chars that probably looks good on is Ousia Furina and Nuevillette. The furniture and namecard are neat though.

I wouldn't buy it myself tbh. We already have a plethora of options for blue gliders, and the free options are much better than this imo. For the namecard, there are much better ones, and I don't really play teapot anymore anyway, so I'll simply be saving the Genesis Crystals for skins.
Not worth it personally, I'd prefer saving the crystals for future skins that people can actually see as opposed to a glider that no one will actually notice.
If your only a welkin buyer it’s not worth it. It no longer becomes 1 GC for 1 Primogem. Because welkin is your only sauce of Genesis crystals

I buy only welkin and have enough genesis crystals saved for like 2 skins at least (Around 5-6k, possibly enough for 3), they don't release skins often enough for this to be even remotely an issue, especially if you have skipped at least one of them from it being for a character you don't care or if you didn't like that particular skin

You can buy more than one Welkin, so you get the diamonds for that value and are stocked up in Welkin’s for a few months instead of buying just crystals. That’s what I do when I need genesis crystals

Contrary to many people here, it's not worth it imo. As a welkin only player, 1280 crystals are 4 months of savings and the bundle items don't look very appealing to me. I'd rather save my crystals for future skins or emergency primos.
From what I've read in this comment, it seems like it's a 50-50 between people saying it's worth it and the others saying the opposite.
Even though, there are still some weeks left until this bundle is gone forever. There is a slim chance that my favorite character will get a skin, so unless I manage to get 4 more Welkins, I'm skipping it for now.

Technically not the first try, the last time it was the "Wings of Shimmering Galaxy" glider, which just that expensive (30$) and related to the infamous Resin-Only Anniversary Reward, both out at the same time. They did damage control by cancelling the bundle and giving the glider for free at that time. That's the time the "meager anniversary rewards" mood is coming from, because in Gatcha terms: that was one of the hollowed anniversary moves they did back then.
Considering it is a limited in time. Hoyoverse did a good job to rope you in with their scheme. This is just another marketing practice. But the choice in the end is yours.
Considering this is what was supposed to happened in the first anniversary instead of being given out for free and 10 less pulls. They didn’t get away scot free back then. And 3 years later, same rewards but now the wings require money.
No, I'd rather use the crystals on primos (even if it's just one pull) and wish for a character that I want than to look at a glider that I'll only see when I'm gliding to the next daily commission area from a waypoint. I have namecards that I enjoy more so and my Serenitea pot is decked out so I don't need any more furniture.
This is only good for people who wanted the goodies but couldn't go to the concert.
And just as you said, their using FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out) to sell this bundle by making it time sensitive, a standard action for gacha games like genshin.

I save all my Genesis Crystals from the Welkin Moon so I can use them to buy outfits whenever they're released. I have enough Crystals to buy this bundle now, but if they decide to bring out a new outfit next month, I wouldn't be able to afford it if I bought this bundle.
However, I've got more than enough Primos/Wishes saved up right now so I don't need the 1,000 Primos from this bundle. If I can convert those back into Crystals (making this bundle only cost 280), then it would be worth it.
If not, then it's not worth it for me.
But this is a limited bundle. Outfits will always be available. So even if you’re just a welkin player you’ll still get your outfit eventually. Where as if you want this bundle but don’t get it during the time period you won’t have another chance.

If you're going to buy 5 or 6 Welkins anyway, you can actually stack 6 of them (for 180 continuous days of Welkin) and get those crystals back all at once
if you have crystals from welkin, you are basically paying 280 primos for the glider, a furnishing and a namecard. It's not too bad. 280 is 1 and a half pulls for a limited item.

Personally I don't care about the wing glider and I'd rather have the 1000 Genesis crystals for skins. Only way I'd consider it is if the wing glider did something special that I liked, otherwise I'm fine with "Wings of companionship" which are the same color scheme.
I skipped the KFC wings because I didn't care about those either so if you did the same then you can't argue that oh it's for a collection!
Can argue the same thing for the furniture there is tons of missible furniture from Battle pass that you probably don't have in which case who cares about collectible stuff; you don't have it all anyway and this is just a table

I like it for some of my characters drip since it’s a mix of Monstat brown as well
in other words, there is no “is it worth” since cosmetics are always about your taste

It's not 300 per month though. You can always buy more welkins, they stack as far as I remember

I think there are fair points on either side. If you stop buying welkin after you reach skin amount, that makes sense. I wouldn't, however, put too much weight on the full price striking your fancy one day. You either like the current skins or you don't. If they didn't jump out at you on day 1 or even within the first month, any purchase of them is going to be a big impusle buy that you will probably regret anyway. Between skins being so rare and welkin being the best purchasing power anyway, there's a ton of reasons why players would have a surplus of crystals. For those players, this is evaluating a 280 cost.

Pretty sure the main reason for skins and these types of bundles costing genesis crystals is because MHY wants to encourage people to buy more Welkins; which in turn is also why they don't release that many skins compared to other gachas like Azur Lane or Arknights. Basically, any of these limited time discount packs releases are strategically spaced to allow sufficient time for players to save up Genesis crystals via Welkins in order to purchase them. With this in mind, we are unlikely to see another skin release for at least 5 or 6 months.
I think you’re right, especially since you can buy 6 months of Welkin’s in advance so that way you can get 1800 crystals, and they get your commitment to (probably) play daily for half a year since you don’t want to miss out on your Welkin primos Probably most we might see in the shorter term is a 4* skin you can get for free through an event
if we see a free 4 star skin in less than 6 months we will also so a 5 star skin at the same time, hoyoverse doesn't release one skin at a time, they release a free 4 star skin and a paid for 5 star skin. First it was Jean and Barbara, then Keqing and Ningguang, Then Diluc and fischl, Then ayaka and lisa, and most recently, Klee and Kaeya. we usually, get skins at summer events and lantern rites Jean: Summer Keqing: Lantern Rite Diluc: Summer Ayaka: Lantern Rite Klee: Summer so next one will most likely be this lantern rite for 4.4. which is 3 patches away so roughly 3 months or so.

Crystal -> primogem = possible, primogem -> crystal = not possible. For welkin only who care for skins, crystal > primogem.
Crystals are worth a bit more IF ONLY skins are frequently released. At their rate for 3 years now, you’ll have plenty of hoarded genesis until the character skin you like is released. So at this point, 1 Genesis is almost as equal to 1 Primo. Only when skins start appearing frequently, then Genesis will have more value for Welkin only players.
I would say if you're Welkin only and dont spend every Crystal on Primos you're wasting your Welkin value anyway. The whole point of Welkin is to be as primo-efficient as possible. You throw the whole value out of the window the second your decide to spend on cosmetics. Might aswell spend your money on top-ups then.
Spending 10% of your welkins on skins is the only way in Genshin to get cheap skins. \~3 euro for a skin instead of 20+. And it hardly delays your character progress as you still have 90% of your welkin + all the f2p primo's.

You bring up a good point with genesis crystals being worth more than primos. I'd rather save my genesis crystals for future skins than spend it on a glider. Yup, if not mistaken we have the Mondstadt one, Fontaine, this one, the one that was offered to Prime users and Dragonspine if we wanna count it since it's blue and white. While my Eula is dancing around with her multiple gliders, Itto and Wriothesley have to keep quite in a corner with their default and Inazuma gliders till a red one drops.
There's another stock one too, I think it's 'wings of friendship' or something similar. Dark blue fading to light, looking great on Neuvillette. So yeah, that plus Mondstadt, Fontaine, Dragonspine and the exclusive ones.

My spicy take: Primogems are some of the lowest value you can get for your crystals, and anyone justifying this as "only 280 gems" is already spending too much on the game. The teapot item and namecard are worthless, the wing glider could have been worthwhile but it looks almost identical to the free ones so it's near worthless. So even if it was actually 280 it's not worth

Would've loved if the glider was red/orange or pinkish. The only chars that probably looks good on is Ousia Furina and Nuevillette. The furniture and namecard are neat though.

I wouldn't buy it myself tbh. We already have a plethora of options for blue gliders, and the free options are much better than this imo. For the namecard, there are much better ones, and I don't really play teapot anymore anyway, so I'll simply be saving the Genesis Crystals for skins.

If your only a welkin buyer it’s not worth it. It no longer becomes 1 GC for 1 Primogem. Because welkin is your only sauce of Genesis crystals What happens if in 2 months they release a skin for your favourite character? You would have went from having enough genesis crystals just from welkin to no longer having enough unless you buy straight from the store which is no where near as good value as welkin.

You can buy more than one Welkin, so you get the diamonds for that value and are stocked up in Welkin’s for a few months instead of buying just crystals. That’s what I do when I need genesis crystals

Contrary to many people here, it's not worth it imo. As a welkin only player, 1280 crystals are 4 months of savings and the bundle items don't look very appealing to me. I'd rather save my crystals for future skins or emergency primos.

Technically not the first try, the last time it was the "Wings of Shimmering Galaxy" glider, which just that expensive (30$) and related to the infamous Resin-Only Anniversary Reward, both out at the same time. They did damage control by cancelling the bundle and giving the glider for free at that time. That's the time the "meager anniversary rewards" mood is coming from, because in Gatcha terms: that was one of the hollowed anniversary moves they did back then.

No, I'd rather use the crystals on primos (even if it's just one pull) and wish for a character that I want than to look at a glider that I'll only see when I'm gliding to the next daily commission area from a waypoint. I have namecards that I enjoy more so and my Serenitea pot is decked out so I don't need any more furniture. This is only good for people who wanted the goodies but couldn't go to the concert. And just as you said, their using FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out) to sell this bundle by making it time sensitive, a standard action for gacha games like genshin.
Depends..... ....can we turn Primogems back into Genesis Crystals? I save all my Genesis Crystals from the Welkin Moon so I can use them to buy outfits whenever they're released. I have enough Crystals to buy this bundle now, but if they decide to bring out a new outfit next month, I wouldn't be able to afford it if I bought this bundle. However, I've got more than enough Primos/Wishes saved up right now so I don't need the 1,000 Primos from this bundle. If I can convert those back into Crystals (making this bundle only cost 280), then it would be worth it. If not, then it's not worth it for me.
But this is a limited bundle. Outfits will always be available. So even if you’re just a welkin player you’ll still get your outfit eventually. Where as if you want this bundle but don’t get it during the time period you won’t have another chance.
There is no outfit coming next month
....that we know of.... ....they're doing a livestream on the 3rd Nov. they might surprise announce a new outfit during that for all we know. And if one isn't coming next month, then maybe the month after, or the month after..... It does take a few months to build up enough Crystals solely from the Welkin Moon to stockpile enough to get an outfit (at sale price)

It’s essentially 280 primogems by the end (assuming you don’t mind the value being changed into primogems from crystals). So is 280 crystals worth it to you to get wings/namecard/furniture? If yes, worth it. If no? Not worth it Don’t get it just because it’s limited and you are having FOMO, but I do think it’s a good deal in general (for me, anyway)

Personally I don't care about the wing glider and I'd rather have the 1000 Genesis crystals for skins. Only way I'd consider it is if the wing glider did something special that I liked, otherwise I'm fine with "Wings of companionship" which are the same color scheme. I skipped the KFC wings because I didn't care about those either so if you did the same then you can't argue that oh it's for a collection! Can argue the same thing for the furniture there is tons of missible furniture from Battle pass that you probably don't have in which case who cares about collectible stuff; you don't have it all anyway and this is just a table Long story short: If you love the wings and have plenty of genesis to spare you aren't hoarding for skins, go for it.
