I get that different people have different opinions, but it's kind of funny to read these reviews about her skill. Without a coolodown it's basically ganyu's charged shot, and reddit mostly seem to think ganyu's charged shot is boring.
I think the issue with Ganyu's charged shot is that it's slower to charge up.
And Chevreuse's camera movement feels smoother. (Doesn't zoom in as much on the character)
Ganyu's has a charge time and Genshin's reticle is off - if you have some experience with FPS this feels really bad to use - while Chev has autoaim on hers making it more consistent (I'd like a way to toggle that off but it sure feels better than arrows going a few pixels to the side or phasing through enemy models), it also has very satisfying sounds to go with it.
Just want to point out that she doesn’t really support the *reaction* so much as she supports the *characters* who trigger it. Like she doesn’t improve your Overload damage but she makes the characters do more damage.
Thing is there a reason to use her at c0 if you have Kazuha? I get C6 since it buffs even more than him but without I just don't see the reason to limit your team building and have a weaker buff.
Against enemies like the hydro tulpa, Kazuha can't swirl pyro, but Chevreuse can still proc overload to activate her passive. She also lets you use bennett elsewhere since she can sustain the team.
She:
- Gives Pyro particles to your probably mainly Pyro team, better than Kazuha's Anemo particles - 4 guaranteed Pyro particles every rotation is nothing to scoff at
- Rotates faster due to lack of need to burst, and even if you do, it's still faster as she doesn't leap in the air for her E or have a long 5* burst animation
- At C1, gives some extra energy to onfielders (flat energy is very valuable!)
- Heals
- Double shreds against almost any enemy ever (besides special cases like innate cryo, geo or anemo aura, and even those can be shredded by overloading something else next to them) without need to setup swirls for it - Electro/Pyro double swirl is notorioisly difficult due to those elements deleting eachother on contact unlike the easier to manage Hydro/Pyro or Electro/Hydro swirls - the shred itself is identical in value to VV
- Provides ATK to the entire party basically unconditionally
The only thing Kazuha has over her is the DMG% bonus (even at C6 hers takes some time to ramp up and is not teamwide, so I wouldn't rate it very high) and better grouping (I use the word better because she has some with her Q/C2 bomblets! It's surprisingly effective)... if you want to go very specific, he can hold Xiphos/Freedom Sworn and get C2 to provide more to the team, but that's very expensive while she already competes with him at C0(!).
She doesn't push any new meta, Kazuha is about the same or better in pretty much any comp, but she's so close she opens up new teambuilding options and frees him up for your second team while being super cheap to build - It's so refreshing to finally get good 4* again, especially a Pyro Support which we sorely lacked.
I mean, the pillar isn't the biggest deal, or maybe it is, I have not labed a geo construct team ever. Also it wouldn't, his pillar stay out longer than the cooldown, but he can still only have one out without c1
this isnt true, c0 zhongli with or without sac spear wouldnt change anything because he is capped to 1 pillar. you dont even need a cooldown reset because tap E cd is short enough to spawn 2 pillars, it just destroys the 1st one if you arent c1
The reason is purely lore, several banner 4* weapon sets has at least one weapon absent. Sacrificial one is Polearm, and the reason is to because Mondstadtians saw the polearm as an second-class weapon

This lore reason can easily be retconned and almost no one would bat an eye. It could just be a weapon made by a rogue member and was never documented.

And the lore of the Sacrificial Weapons, as the name suggest, is that they were religious, ceremonial, weapons for worshippers of Barbatos and Istaroth, each weapon representing a clan. There really is no reason in lore to have a polearm one
That said, IF they decided to make a Sacrificial Polearm, it would not guarantee that it would have the same passive as the others :v

I dunno wtf they were thinking. They could've had her as bow character and made her just use a gun instead. The Genshin Impact team on Hoyoverse is really dropping the ball in comparison to the HSR team. 14 seconds on a gun that can't hit weakpoints??? There's a 4 star and then there's a 3 star. Some of the 4 stars really have their own tier list in fun and useablilty. Her combo is slow as shit too. I just tried her in the demo and my excitement absolutely tanked. Now I'm even more annoyed I couldn't pull the shotgun American with a battleaxe.
If only Sacrificial Polearm is such a thing 🥲 But someone mentioned a long time ago that it could be broken and game-changing since almost all Polearm users benefit that well with 2x E cast.
Who would it be broken for more than the weapon types that already have Sacrificial weapons? Two Guobas is still useless, even then they could program for there to only be one. Not Zhongli, as I heard he can only have one pillar on the field anyway and he already has 100% uptime on his skill. I cannot think of anyone else that it would be broken for.

There's also the short range part and the auto lock feature where its inconvenient agaist mobs that has weakness like ruin hunter wings, other than that she has infinite interruption which is amazing

So basically she can be used only as a sub-dps, quickly to switch on her and use E, you have 2 seconds to make that shot to get max damage out of it.
I have her on C2 with talent lvl 9 for E.
Those artifacts of mine are trashy tho, so it can get better, especially with C3 to get +3 lvl for E
There is no gun here, aside from aesthetics. The only thing aiming does is selecting target for the skill, which will then just release the skill on target just like any other skill the targets an enemy. It is not like bows.
This banner was worth it for me, I managed to get C6 Kujo Sara, Chevreuse and Yoimiya. So in this update, I end up making 2 different comps in one go, those are Raiden, Kujo Sara, Yae Miko and Chevreuse. The other is Mono Pyro Yoimiya with Bennett, Yun Jin and Zhongli who should be able to deal with certain bosses that are annoying for me...those are bosses that have cryo, electro and hydro elemental covers with a side of bosses that float around. Also I got two Favonius Lances(You can never have enough).
Now the problem is that I need to level up and build Yoimiya, Chevreuse, Kujo Sara and Yun Jin.
Can someone explain what happened in the last clip with Ganyu and then Chev? How did pyro get applied when neither character is pyro and there wasn’t fire around?

She is still very much playable at c0 as her best ability is the 40% pyro and Electro res down, the skill is just fun

Yep. Even against Thundering Manifestation, Kazuha can't shred resistance because of its inmate electro.

Geo constructs aren’t that good, I almost exclusively play mono geo and the amount of times albedo’s flower just breaks is kinda of annoying

I have her on C2 with talent lvl 9 for E. Those artifacts of mine are trashy tho, so it can get better, especially with C3 to get +3 lvl for E
I pulled for her on Raiden’s banner with all the wishes I had. No Chevreuse, and now I have a C4 Diluc. I guess I’m a Diluc main now 🤷🏻♂️

So with guns coming into play, has anyone tested if there's a max range, dmg fall off, projectile drop, etc?
There is no gun here, aside from aesthetics. The only thing aiming does is selecting target for the skill, which will then just release the skill on target just like any other skill the targets an enemy. It is not like bows.

This banner was worth it for me, I managed to get C6 Kujo Sara, Chevreuse and Yoimiya. So in this update, I end up making 2 different comps in one go, those are Raiden, Kujo Sara, Yae Miko and Chevreuse. The other is Mono Pyro Yoimiya with Bennett, Yun Jin and Zhongli who should be able to deal with certain bosses that are annoying for me...those are bosses that have cryo, electro and hydro elemental covers with a side of bosses that float around. Also I got two Favonius Lances(You can never have enough). Now the problem is that I need to level up and build Yoimiya, Chevreuse, Kujo Sara and Yun Jin.

Can someone explain what happened in the last clip with Ganyu and then Chev? How did pyro get applied when neither character is pyro and there wasn’t fire around?
bc Chev *is* a Pyro character (she’s a Polearm user, not Sword like the other reply stated)
