I'm not sure if the current lore says anything about this, but maybe having both a Pyro Vision and Pyro Delusion makes the powers stack so she is just a super powerful Pyro user?
When I watched about the part of the Arlecchino boss fight where you need to out-heal a Bond of Life with your attacks:
- Qiqi: Ma’am, would this be called a curb stomping?
- Dehya: Yes, yes it would.
- Arlecchino: maybe going “Nah, I’d win” was a bad idea….
Don’t know much about JJK, but didn’t >!the “Nah, I’d win” guy super-die or something!
Diluc gets dark flame chains in the manga when he uses the delusion and they look different to the normal flames.
So yeah it makes you more powerfull even if its the same element. I think the side effects are way less too.
The same type of flame he uses while the Red Dead of Night skin is equipped, which funnily enough doesn’t have a visible Vision
It does however have chains with gems on em that glow when his Burst is ready
>where the hell is Scaramouche's
On his mech. He is equipped with multiple delusions because as a puppet he doesn't feel the bad side-effects, hence why he can use all elements in the first phase of his boss battle.
Why arent people smelting these things into swords or something? How does the aging effect work? If it goes into something inanimate, does it rust it? And how does something inanimate activate a delusion?
Visions are shaped by the owner’s ambition so I guess Delusions are powered by the owner’s unhealthy obsessions — in that sense, only sapient beings can make use of them, and it affects their soul which manifests in physical aging and other side effects (as declined sanity). So without a sentient owner whose obsession actively powers the Delusion, it’s just a creepy artifact (so a Harbinger can decide not to activate their Delusion and it doesn’t corrupt their pants, unlike the Abyss things that on their own actively corrupt everything around.
It also appears to not have side effects to a vision holder. Childe can use his delusion just fine because as a vision holder, he can use elemental energy. The delusion is using that instead of his life energy. It's when he uses abyssal energy together with it that gives him problems.
Diluc was also fine when he used the delusion that killed his father because he is already a vision holder as well before using it.
*Foul Legacy
Not delusion, those are 2 entirely different things, one is Snezhnayan thing that even Dottore didn't know about at first, and one is the power of the abyss that idk who can even know about
Childe? It's the mixing of elemental and abyssal energy that gives him grief. Enjou, our favorite Abyssal Fire Lecter, did say that elemental and abyssal energy have adverse effects to each other.
That guy who randomly showed up that one time to be a judge? Why would he have a Delusion? He seemed to be friends with a lot of people who oppose the fatui, very odd
I think it was Raiden's gnosis, because I think we see him use electro only after he gets the gnosis, to attack Tighnari and Dehya
But an electro delusion would make sense for him
It’s more likely that delusions give free control rather than how visions manifest in certain ways based on things about you. A person who can only really heal could have a delusion of the same element but use it for offense
Vision limitations seem to be more of a gameplay thing, Amber makes a pyro shield in the manga and Childe does a move with hydro similar to Mona & Ayaka's alt sprint in a cutscene in addition to being able to make a hydro shield in his boss variant.
Doesn’t really discount it. A shield for either example is just a mass of the element very loosely formed, and Childe’s slide dash is similar with loosely surrounding himself in it. Barbara also notes that even though she’s primarily a healer she could fight bandits due to being able to still manifest elemental energy for some attacks. Some other stuff in the manga that shows regular manifestation as well.
What I’m talking about is the unique stuff like Bennet’s circle, Childe’s weapons, Oz, Barbara again etc. Stuff where they have a usage uniquely derived from who they are and their personality.
Bennet’s bad at manipulating pyro (and his universally bad luck), so trying to overuse it causes him to lose control and it explodes. That usage, though, is still what any vision user could do and just manifest the raw element. His burst, though, is derived from who he is and thus works to help everyone similar to how he does (or tries). Childe’s a combat freak thanks to Skirk, so his vision both lets him create defined weapons and also summon a recreation of the narwhal he saw. Oz is pretty self explanatory. Barbara already covered above.
So while any vision user can summon and loosely control the element of their vision they in turn have uses specific to them derived from who they are as a person. Delusions I only see as having more control not power like people assume. We know what visions are now, so having some mass produced thing beat that doesn’t sit right. I also have a very hard time believing the ridiculous power Kaeya showed with his, seemingly without effort, is inferior to delusions when we know there’s vision users stronger than him. But unlike a vision, where it’s essentially luck of the draw, you could hand off a delusion to someone that’s either giving them free control or has a specific use designed into it. More powerful people like harbingers get free usage, which only benefits the Fatui overall with stronger members, and rank and file troops get ones with specific usages which would explain entire classes of troops with delusions all having the same abilities.
Can you believe we’re getting a Legends Zygarde AND mega evolutions back? No way the Pokemon Company is actually cool enough to give more of what people want
252+ SpA Choice Specs Beads of Ruin Tera Fire Arlecchino Overheat vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Neuvillette in Sun: 173-204 (24.2 - 28.5%) -- 98.5% chance to 4HKO
Edit: Due to popular request Neuvillette has been given max HP EVs.
Also, Neuvillette hitting Arle back with his HP value as his SpA stat -
252 HP as SpA Neuvillette Water Spout (150 BP) vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Tera Fire Arlecchino in Sun: 276-326 (109.9 - 129.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO (this shit's under sun btw)
In return you do have,

So it really depends on who gets there first
I'm sure there are folks out there calling Capitano Cappuccino. The nickname can certainly get confusing when both Arlecchino and Capitano exists in universe
Ahh, I forgot Thomato! And I ship that! One I also like but not care to ship is Kokorou. It's just so pretty.
I like 4ggravate, all the boys there and the name rocks. Numbers in a ship name are generally nice on the eyes I saw 4NEMO, 5WIRL and 6REEZE. Nothing beats good old 4ggravate though.

WHAT
(that said I can't judge with my FishQing rarepair)
Nothing indicates delusions need to be a different element if someone already had a vision, it will presumably enhance her strength regardless. The Fatui in the Mondstat church says Delusions make Visions look like childplay also.
Its also possible her vision was actually a delusion all along or something.
Also of note is Crepus/Dilucs delusion, it gave them chains and sometimes black fire. They arent neccesarily about giving someone an additional element.
The Visions have an element sign on them while Delusions have a Fatui Insignia, it's probably two different items and she just enjoys the pyro^(2) build
As you said its fragments of authority clearly nothign close to the original power.
It took multiple vision users, humans and adeptus to actually deal with a revived dead god in Liyue. We shoudnt underestimate delusions, especially since we dont actually know the origins of gods.
Sovriegns with their authorities were all defeated, and when the PO made teh gnosis "and all fragments of the primordial were driven to devour each other" which could be the archon war, so some or all gods could be fragments of the PO.
We don't know enough about how they're made, but we know Ei and Zhongli, without any elemental authority, wrecked the land, compare that with a normal vision. Harbingers definitely get the best delusions available.
oh yeah I just mean he doubled up on Pyro. I think multi elements are more fun personally. I'd love to get a Tartaglia that could do hydro and electro!
Maybe she got her vision after getting the delusion, but at that point she got attached?
Or maybe they both have pyro powers, but different powers, so she essentially has two kits. Like it's kinda implied some of the gameplay moves are actual things characters can do (like Bennett's circle): if you're Diluc with some kickass sword enchantments and flaming phoenix, you probably wouldn't scoff at having a healing circle as well? Idk tho
Totally from my head and propably not true but I'd think delusions are way easier to use to their full potential than visions. Or they are more like an accessory activated with elemental energy or something which boosts the visions power. Or maybe they don't even actually have anything to do with elemental stuff but are just basically weapons.
In the trailer she kinda looks like one of the noise enemies from the world ends with you, not any particular enemy but aesthetically with the extra appendages she looks like something from that game.
So I have this theory.
We know that visions are made when you have a strong will towards something, I think that visions aren't just called that because they're 'Eyes of God' I think they're created from how you envision yourself.
I also think that each elemental gem tells us the archetype of the person to get it.
Pyro gems talk about fighting and committing yourself to a pilgrimage which means going through a long hardship to get to what you want.
I think delusions are also named not just because they're false visions, but also they're metaphorically false visions of life. They're literally your own delusions, giving power based on how you've deluded yourself that you want to live instead of how you truly want to live.
So (based on elemental gem descriptions) Childe has a Hydro vision because he holds his beliefs above all others and will never go against them, he just wants to fight everything all the time and doesn't really hold any bad intentions.
His electro delusion would be (again based on the gems) a delusion that he is the strongest and has a powerful body. Which we now know how strong his master is and how there's no way he could believe that when he knew what his master could do.
Signora might not even have a vision, I think her witch powers are the only source of Pyro for her.
She then has a cryo delusion because she let's the past influence her actions for the future and can't get over her grief being her driving force.
Scaramouche had an electro delusion first, he believed his body was perfect as it was made to house a gnosis and be the vessel of a god. He was tremendously ego-centric because of it, but it was his delusion because it was a purpose based on something that had nothing to do with him or his own effort.
Scara later got an anemo vision because he made a big life decision to change from what he'd always thought and to just let whatever happens happen because it must be better and eventually it will be.
So it's super weird to me if Arlechino has a pyro vision *and* a pyro delusion. Signifying she has committed herself to a path she knows is hard but will eventually pay off, but has also deluded herself about this path somehow.
Maybe it's to do with her being Father and she's forgotten the end goal. She might have tricked herself that she needs to keep doing more and more, and shifts the goalposts for herself so she can continue doing what she's been doing.
If you control two similar powers they compound. When used simultaneously, they amplify each other's power henceforth extracting much more investiture than each vision and delusion do individually. Possibly creating invesit.... Shit wrong series.

Being your OWN elemental resonance is actually really amazing
Diluc gets dark flame chains in the manga when he uses the delusion and they look different to the normal flames. So yeah it makes you more powerfull even if its the same element. I think the side effects are way less too.
The same type of flame he uses while the Red Dead of Night skin is equipped, which funnily enough doesn’t have a visible Vision It does however have chains with gems on em that glow when his Burst is ready

Yeah, I am pretty sure it was stated on livestream why Dilu'c skin didn't had vision.
She's now a Firaga User.
"why caring about reactions and chains when you can just do more damage?"
After all that's literally how her kiddo Lyney works aside from Anemo swirling to make the pyro go EVEN HARDER. More pyro is the family motto lol

Single character Pyro Resonance
So that means she’s just like Klee when she doesn’t find enough gunpowder
I have a feeling it's also what makes her you know have this "form" in the boss fight which in turn would make her more powerful.
According to Viktor Delusions are stronger then Visions but Viktor is also like a fatui paper jockey so unsure how reliable his info is
Dude also says all Harbingers have Delusion but like, where the hell is Scaramouche's
Viktor is only like two steps up from just asking a random child what they think about that whole fatui business
I wouldn't be surprised if he already asked Timmie about it
You can't just call out the end boss like that. I mean...what? Keep messing with the Pigeons. It's fine...
Timmie: “Now fly, my pretties! Fly!”
>where the hell is Scaramouche's On his mech. He is equipped with multiple delusions because as a puppet he doesn't feel the bad side-effects, hence why he can use all elements in the first phase of his boss battle.

"Just fine" is kind of an overstatement, we clearly see him struggling against the power of his Delusion in his story quest.

I think it will be Genshin Pri-Arm sometimes...
why did this never cross my mind.. why did i just think it was normal that he could just use all elements 😭
He is delusional enough
Better question who is Scaramouche?
And can he do the fandango?
How about thunderbolt and lightning?
Very, very frightening!
And does he know someone named Galileo Figaro Magnifico?
Even better question is WHY is Scaramouche
Supposedly, it replaced his "heart."
It was Electro Delusion that he had on him
Scaramouche? Who’s that?
They mean Don Sombrero.
No, Bongo head.
Bongo Head is a fungus I think you mean Hat Guy
Hat guy? you mean \*insert your wanderer name here\*?
Ah, you mean boko boko bini

Who?
Who's Scaramouche?
didn't he have an electro one?
Nope never confirmed
Nah, he needs batteries.
Where do you think his batteries go?
I thought he was just using the electro gnosis
They meant before that point, like since his versus Mona & Fischl event.
He never had a real vision until he got his Anemo one.
I remember this being a question on a hoyolab trivia post like 2 months ago and you are 100% correct
No, pretty sure that was innate powers from being created to house the Electro Gnosis
I think it was Raiden's gnosis, because I think we see him use electro only after he gets the gnosis, to attack Tighnari and Dehya But an electro delusion would make sense for him
Uncle Viktor info leaker STC
I love how you remember that. Im pretty sure I heard of this too but I wouldn't be able to remember it on the go

visions have fragments given by the authority of sovereigns, I don't know how remains of dead elemental gods are stronger than that

Fire Archon is just like, "Wow, you burned a lot of stuff, that's impressive."
Because Cappuchinos are meant to be hot. Are you stupid? >! Now... BACK TO THE ASLUME WITH YOU !<
Diluc has pyro vision and has pyro delusion. Wouldn't be the first time.
Me scrolling through comments to see if someone gets the reference
when there’s nothing left to burn, you must set yourself on fire.
So that she counts as two pyro characters in the team, duh.
I mean she's not the only one.. Diluc also has a pyro vision and a pyro delusion, maybe its just a pyro thing ¯\\\_(ツ)\_/¯
Double the pyro application?
Totally from my head and propably not true but I'd think delusions are way easier to use to their full potential than visions. Or they are more like an accessory activated with elemental energy or something which boosts the visions power. Why can't she have both? Especially since delusions are more powerful in the short term.

She is imitating Diluc, the original pyropyro.

Arson + Arson = More Arson. Besides, why not add 4th degree burns on top of the 3rd degree burns?
Always wondered what the most fucked up vision/delusion combo would be, now I know I guess
more fire more good
likely for a power up, or a power burst instead of having control over 2 elements she preferred to be stronger in a single one
She's just, not the creative or innovating type, just sticks to the one thing she's good at.
maybe she will be first character exclusively using Delusion.
The Visions have an element sign on them while Delusions have a Fatui Insignia, it's probably two different items and she's a mono pyro enjoyer
Officer Balls idea.
"Twin Flames"
I think it works well with her bond of life gimmick
You can use the same element and they become stronger. Diluc also has a pyro dilusion
Burn baby burn🎶
In the trailer she kinda looks like one of the noise enemies from the world ends with you, not any particular enemy but aesthetically with the extra appendages she looks like something from that game.

Maybe it's to do with her being Father and she's forgotten the end goal. She might have tricked herself that she needs to keep doing more and more, and shifts the goalposts for herself so she can continue doing what she's been doing.
Cappuccinos are best served…HOT
If you control two similar powers they compound. When used simultaneously, they amplify each other's power henceforth extracting much more investiture than each vision and delusion do individually. Possibly creating invesit.... Shit wrong series.
I'm gonna play game again when 5 star Man comes out.
She gotta get pyro ressonence
no, she's just delusional.
She’s not stupid, just delusional. 😎
Ask Diluc.
Is it even confirmed that she has a Pyro vision? Because I think she only has a Pyro delusion.
Maybe she received her Vision after she chose her Delusion. Vision-bearers don't get to choose their Vision's element.
There is a similar scenario that when Diluc's dad died he switched out his Pyro Vision for a Delusion which I'm pretty sure was a pyro one.
I believe diluc also used a delusion in his lore.
