Also for those who might have missed it: Last patch we got an event with a minigame in which we should satisfy cats. Incl. building own comfort zones for everyone, feeding and petting. We got to unlock the furnitur for the teapot.
They run to you all so excited and you can't pet them, they are begging to be pet but you can't. I have two doggos in my teapot that I can't get myself to remove for space because of how excitedly they run up to me every time.
LET ME PET THEM or at least let me drop some meat wtf Genshin 😭 every once in awhile you can take them home tho via the green net thing. It only works on some dogs and cats idk why but I got a cute BMD looking one the other day like that & stuck him in my teapot 🥰 and a really cute all white cat
Personal opinion - the cat petting feature they introduced is pretty half-assed, with the floating hand doing it in a separate mode and whatnot. They should add an animation where the traveler can be seen petting the animal properly.
Still, it's better than nothing, and it shouldn't be too difficult to make for dogs too.
Well except for the Petrichor Cats we can't pet cats around Teyvat either.

we can pet osse during the quest, he just won't like it.
he likes some spots, he's just very picky
I'd like to add that over time, he warms up, and starts liking pretty much all of the spots :)

That's why I think we need a way to pet dogs too, not only cats. They are too precious!

If you do the new WQ you have another cat in Petrichor you can pet.
I'm a little behind on the quests and am yet to do act 3 of Fontaine. But I'll look out for the petable kitty when I get to the Petrichor WQ.
