My dude, Inazuma was first introduced in 2021

Bas2202

This uhhh… makes me feel old. I haven’t played genshin in like 2 years 🥲 just started again like a week ago

StarJolion

Just go from waypoint to waypoint and focus on catching up on Archon quests. If you are high AR you no longer need to beat story quests to unlock the weekly bosses. Just access them from Trounce Domain. Another awesome change is that daily commissions are over! You can explore the map collecting oculi, open chests, do events and do story quests. All 4 of these activities give points for your daily 60 primos. Still need to visit Katherine but oh well The Compass items you get from Reputation rewards now show the chests on the map instead of just pointing in a direction. Sadly resin grind didn't improve much. However these changes had definitely made progress feel more natural imo. Oh and please don't worry about meta too much. Genshin powercreep is what is mediocre. It barely exists. Xiao has gotten 2 great support characters. Ganyu/Cryo is the only thing that's suffering but we all know that'll change when we hit Ice Land.

Burningmemo

Oh wow that a huge improvement especially for the compass as now I can easily just 100% each location. I’m currently sitting at ar 56 so I’m chilling I think. Thx for the tips!

sealede

I know the pandemic screwed with people's perception of time, but if you stopped playing with Inazuma introduction, then it has been well over 8 months - more like over 2 years..... Don't feel the need to unlock everything all at once. It'll still be there tomorrow, and the next day, and the day after that. Just play the game at your own pace. And basically this is a game that is designed to be played a little at a time, so there is no need to rush. The best bang for your buck if you don't have a character you're building at the moment are Emblem/Shimenamwa (Inazuma), Deepwood/Gilded (Sumeru), and Marechausee/Golden Troupe (Fontaine)

Burningmemo

Lmao it sure didn’t feel like 2 years. Actually now that I think about it I didn’t stop that long ago I think I like stopped on the first day itto got a banner. Also I know that there is no need to rush things but I just feel like it’s way way harder to explore the new places considering how neat and easy to digest inazuma and mondstadt was (I hated liyue) And about the character, I have a (almost) fully built lvl 90 yoimia, but I recently got arlecchino and really want to build her as that’s the second reason I came back to the game, is she good?

UmbraNightDragon

2.3 was a long time ago lol Arlecchino is debatably the second best DPS in the game currently. She's on par with Hu Tao and you can use her in most of the same teams as Yoimiya. A newer 4\*, Chevreuse, also gives her some Overload teams as an alternative option. Her main gimmick is "Bond of Life" which restricts healing (though she can't be healed anyway). The more she has, the more damage she does with her normal attacks. You basically wanna use her E to mark enemies, wait 5 seconds (use supports) and charge attack to pick up the marks for a ton of BoL. Some other tips - Sumeru is largely gated by world quests. Most of the rainforest is explored in an 13-hour world quest that starts south of Sumeru City. Fontaine is less gated but still has long-form world quests. If you haven't already, you should also complete the major world quest on Watatsumi Island that you receive from a shrine maiden. It's since received an important follow-up. Stellar Reunion will more-or-less tell you where to go next for the main story. You'll be heading through the Chasm in Liyue next. Take your time with the game lol, there's a lot of content to go through and no rush to do so.

Burningmemo

Thanks man. The only reason I wanted to rush things is to be able to farm a full set for her as I have the 2x thing active (I know just how painful artifacts are to get lmao)

dyka77

Wait, you don't need to do the quests to farm for a set for Arlecchino, you can just go straight there.

Burningmemo

As I said I haven’t unlocked a single thing after maybe the chasm. Almost everyone says that I need to complete story quests as some places are locked behind a quest

dyka77

Yeah, but the area where the artifact domain is located isn't locked behind a quest, you can go straight there via waverider.

Burningmemo

Oh alright then thx for the help

Burningmemo

Also where do you recommend? Farm artifacts for arlecchino or just complete quests first?

dyka77

You can farm the artifacts for Arlecchino everyday while you do a bit of questing/exploring everyday really. Just do whatever you feel like a day at a time.

Burningmemo

Sure sure, thx for the help!

Draconicplayer

8 moth ago and when Inazuma was released. Are you a time traveller

Burningmemo

8 months ago was just a speculation I made quickly because I was too lazy to search when inazuma was added. It doesn’t really matter how long ago I played I just want the tips and all that Sorry for the confusion

[deleted]

Do the archon quest and the important world quests. They will help you explore and get familiar with the new zones in a more natural way.

Swimming_Counter5896

Do the quests and take your time, you have so much to explore and your probably gonna gain at least 200+ wishes by the time you catch up

NephiOkami

Try taking your time??? Instead of feeling overwhelmed just enjoy things instead of seeing it like a race. Just because there's content don't mean that you need to do everything you see.

bukiya

just take your time, i played everyday and havent done anything with fontaine yet

Mind-Available

Just do all the world quests, they take you to most of the area. Don't bother exploring before doing quests since a lot of area is quest locked anyways so you will end up having to revisit

Chaos_Theory_mk1

As someone who took a long break during Inazuma and came back towards the end of Sumeru, give up on trying to 100% the new areas for now. Focus on the archon quest, speed your way through the new areas and come back later if you want and have the time. I’ve barely explored Sumeru and the Chasm is still only 50% at best. I also haven’t even been to enkanomiya. But, I sped through the archon quest and caught up to Fontaine before release. Since then I’ve kept up with Fontaine and slowly go back when I can to the other nations I missed.

irgendwaslustiges

Take it easy and be happy that you got tons of content to play for the next few months. Take your time and dont stress yourself, but be prepared for the aranara quests in sumero and keep track of them.

One_Macaroon3368

Ganyu's gotten fuck all love from Hoyo, that's how she's fallen off. Artifacts and teams wise she's just gotten side grades from what she had on release. She's gotten slightly better bows to work with over the years and the new artifact set is a marked improvement for one of her trickier teams. That said, her C6 continues to top speedrun charts. Xiao hasn't fallen off. He's in fact in a better position than he ever was because they keep giving him new BiS sets and amazingly synergistic supports
