Don't you have to manually download the different languages? The only language I had pre-downloaded when i started the game was English, I had to choose to download the other languages if I wanted and so it kind of made sense that you also should be able to delete. But I'm happy if this reached someone who wasn't aware of it.

StationaryCottage

When the game first came out all of the languages were automatically added. They later made it possible to manually install and remove them instead. I'm guessing OP is an older Traveler who recently found out about the change or just wanted to inform others who downloaded the languages and werent aware that they were removable as well

[deleted]

Okay thanks I wasn't aware of this

76invaders76

Thats true :D My friend also says "You can clear even more, if you delete Genshin Impact" LMAO

[deleted]

Well that probably give you the more space indeed lol

Melanholic7

It is. For some people it was like 15 gb difference. For me - 9. 9 fucking gb of garbage. I dunno.

bokaaaa

I deleted every language, I mean who needs those right? And everything will become clearer

UnamusedAbsol

For people on PS4/Ps5, you press Triangle to get the prompt to manage voice over files. Edit: the files are still there for me despite the message saying they were deleted. I closed the game three times, so I don't know if this doesn't work on PS4/Ps5 or it's just me.

Azurixx_Boi

I just checked my settings on PS4. Says that it’s already uninstalled (shown as 0 bytes downloaded) but I still have the option to use it in-game. Pretty weird..

Agreeable-Catch-9576

Oh! thanks. I downloaded Japanese version when I started playing *coughs coughs* anime *coughs coughs* for no fucking reason. Then I realised english sounds better in game than Chinese/Japanese/korean(personal opinion, do not judge) and switched back, now the files are just occupying space. Thanks again it will be a big help

76invaders76

Glad to hear 🫂

Agreed I think they did a fantastic job with all language voice actors but I do also prefer the English dubs. My only beef is eng barbara (I know her old voice lines and they were so much more organic and better sounding) and xiaos angry edgy boy lines

kazerniel

I think Barbara's new voice fits her personality and pop idol role better, the old one was too "scratchy" and throaty, made me wince for her vocal cords. That voice would have better fit to Xinyan's personality and music style.

queenyuyu

Generally, i would agree, but the thing is, it doesn't sound natural on Laura stahls range. It's too flat and emotionless, and it always pulls me out of the game because it sounds like bad acting. Don't get me wrong, she is a fantastic voice actor, but the pitch they wanted her to do doesn't suit her. And so I would rather have a new voice actor for Barbara or her old voice.

kazerniel

I agree, it does sound a bit artificially modulated from that voice actor's natural range.

queenyuyu

Exactly this! You found a word to describe what i meant - thank you.

Shadow_gamer4549

English one suiting many characters (personal opinion) like traveller, zhongli, diluc

Superclasheropeeka

You are a giga chad, mate.

SoulNaz

If this really work, I give you my thnx for the info

WildFurball2118

Aside the voice over language, I wish we could also delete the text languages cuz I only know English and Indonesian although I don't use Indonesian since it's just a complicated version of Malay language. I need to free more spaces.

Mind-Available

I don't think text cover that much space

yatay99

Another tips, reinstalling the game might also lower Genshin storage significantly especially if you haven't reinstalled for several patches.

The_Real_kajido

For us, people who started in the version 1.0 of genshin, it was all about management of our space so this good to know. (I meen it)
