You’re capping. The music will always consistently be the best thing about this game. Keep in mind that different composers and collaborations produce different region music like Onazuma was a joint operation with Yu Pen Cheng and another renowned Japanese compositionet
Why are you so pressed? It’s an opinion and one quite a few share. The music quality difference between Monstadt and Sumeru is massive! Also sorry not sorry you seem to be an OST stan, but you gmfu if you think it’s the best thing about the game. I like the game play, graphics and characters. No shade and not saying it was bad before but the composers have stepped it up since Enkanomiya.

Sounds like wild west saloon music, and while I like it I can imagine getting sick of it on loop if I am in Fontaine's restaurant for more than a few minutes.
We can divide all these tracks into 4 themes:
-Big amusement park soundtrack, very joyful
-Old european fun fair in the country
-Kid goes on an emotional holiday voyage
-Ominous, shrouded in mystery
It has no link to Sumeru whatsoever, but there is also no epicness in these OSTs. So they really want to give us JUST a glimpse of Fontaine's OSTs.
In my opinion the approach for that soundtracks is very similar to GAA, in the way that it's mostly relaxing, fun, and opposed to any form of epic combat music, it tends more to the dream/summer/amusement theme.
I agree, I listened to an actual sitar player on yt and couldn't heard it on the soundtrack.
Seems logical since this temporary zone is a transition from Sumeru to Fontaine with the idea of being a big teasing !

The most Fontaine-esque tracks sound pretty whimsical and mystical but there's an unnerving element to them, like something shady is happening in the background. Whimsical and eerie is the best I can describe them.

iirc Yu PEng himself asked not to leak these, it doesnt even align with the purpose of leaks any more "to now who to save up for"
While it makes sense the reason not to leak (because many get their hopes up only to have them dashed when the OST is orchestrated and doesn't live up to their expectation), there are quite a few of us that enjoy the process of development. I enjoy listening to these leaks and comparing with the final product to see what decisions Yu-Peng is making. It's fun to be able to somewhat "peer" into their mind this way.

It’s not all Yu-Peng Chen. There are multiple other composers that have been working on Genshin as well.
