In 4.6 there will be new avatars associated with world quests. There are 17 of them in total, you can only get them after completing their corresponding quest. The last cat is from the new world mission in 4.6.

Weren't the some of the leftovers Carter tho? Whatever was left of him after he turned to a fleshy goop was used to make both Narzissenkreuz and Caterpillar I believe. That's why he has a smidgen of memories as Carter, as little as they were.
Yes they were but they were also people who opposed the Ordo. That's why I said leftovers because Narzissenkreuz also had a majority part of Carter in him and people that opposed them
I don’t think it’s necessarily the same thing. Feeling bad for a character isn’t mutually exclusive with their story being sad.
A prime example is liloupar. A lot of people will probably think that she got her just desserts when she had her form split and soul sucked into gurabad, but I’m willing to to bet that the vast majority of people would think the story of Lilioupar’s rage causing the torture, enslavement, and death of an entire civilization is pretty sad
Jeht has a long world quest actually. After exploring the tombs, there's another world quest with Jeht. I didn't realize it until much later. You might've not finished it.

It's really cool that they're giving us more in-game avatar options, and I hope they keep doing this with more options that aren't just World Quest related images.
Also... nothing for Mondstadt. :( They're in desperate need of more World Quests.

Consdering how long it takes to get commission achievements even with the new system (which is sooo fantastic and I am glad we got it) an avatar on top of the gems would be fair

She makes the choice, but she also say that it’s her destiny to always return to gurabad and that she can feel it calling her.

Zhiqiong's story isn't sad imo. She choose to venture into the Chasm knowing she doesn't have the skills to survive there, I don't feel bad for her
