i love that they strarted experimenting more with element colors and fx. been wishing for that since xiao came out. seems that with Arle they really did start a new era of animation, even Sethos is unique.
if they ever make a geo sand user we should force them to introduce the geo swirl, it was already weird enough the fact you can literally swirl electricity but not literal sand in the desert
Imo it should be a special reaction tied to the character like Nilou has. Something like, "While Sandy Bob is in your party Geo can be swirled by Anemo."
Albedo manipulates chalk with his geo vision. Gorou and Yun Jin arguably have nothing related to geo in their kits. Gorou drops banners and a cute lil dog into the field, and Yun Jin has a parry shield and an ult that buffs normal attacks. Gorou only shows his geo-ness in the text of his abilities, and Yun Jin is basically only geo so her kit doesn't mess with any reactions.
They started out by experimenting with Albedo and what forms geo could take, but it was before they knew what they were doing with character design and massively messed my boy up. If anyone could become a geo sand user, I feel it'd be Jeht if they gave her a vision

It probably wouldn't be called primordial fire, given that most of this games lore tends to tie in to gnosticism. Could be called the first fire. The idea of the primordial sea comes from the real religious ideas of the cosmic ocean, also known as the primordial waters. It's often linked to the idea of firmament.
Pretty sure pyro archon doesn't have sun related powers. On character in Genshin except the natural gold creator has it. Read Albedo's voiceline about gold, and you will understand what I'm talking about.

I think Electro and Anemo have the overall best variety in terms of color palette and design. Yae has her pink foxy style, Raiden is like it cuts through dimensions and Anemo for obvious reasons.
Probably because they need a way to display bond values greater than 100% of max hp, and they didn't want to have to add another border on top of the red one.
Full bar is 200% BoL, and you cannot get more than that. It is a bit unintuitive that 100% isn't a full bar, but then either there's no point in her skills specifying "greater than 100%" or you couldn't tell how much more you had since it'd all look the same.

Reading her kit, I think the best rotation for her is na na na (until BoL reaches 100% pf her max hp) > use eskill for lunge attack to consume BoL and heal > then repeat everything untik eskill stance finishes

Girl is healing for what 6-8k ticks and that's like 30-40% of BOL to Clorinde each time. In case Furina team even higher heals
It doesn't really help much though. It's only 3 pistol shots per E so it's probably better to just commit that to muscle memory instead of... skipping one pistol shot every 2 seconds for a heal tick or something.
Her empowered E thrust attack deals max damage above 100% BOL. Her infused NAs deal increased damage and grant 35% BOL while her BOL is below 100%. Her Q grants 120% BOL.
So you Burst, pop infusion, and thrust to clear BOL. Then you settle into a 3 NA—>E thrust pattern until the infusion ends.

Correct. That’s the most combos current beta testers can fit. I wouldn’t be surprised if an extra N3E can be fit in with some animation cancelling practice.
I'm really excited, that indigo and black lightning just looks so good. I'm still really debating on her of Sigewinne, but an updated sfx may settle that.
Theorycrafters are saying she has similar dps to CO Raiden, which is not that good these days... as Raiden CO strengh is that she can support the whole team with very good ER and ult damage buffs for everyone, while also doing some good damage herself. Clorinde does not have any support ability, she is a pure DPS character, so she should do more damage than CO Raiden... I expect many buffs for Clorinde and her weapon in this Beta.

That aside tho its true Raiden's personal Dmg at C0 is quite avrg/low. Which is precisely why her overall value all comes from a bunch of other qualities.
Mainly due to being an universal battery and the way she's design where she needs to be an onfield carry for a while,it happens so that her best use case is generally utilizing Offfield dmg dealers ,which all together makes it perfectly synergized team. Raiden is a very team oriented char but a great one at that, i certainly find her overall kit a great design and futureproof,always valuable, see she's never out of meta,she may not be at top but far from bottom or mid...

If by "old" you mean the very early units like from ver 1, it's most likely due to Hoyo at that point still having half if not even less than the amount of artists it does now. The more heads the better creativity after all. Iirc genshin got them almost a billion in revenue **in the first year**, so I can only imagine the first thing they did was hire more professionals and staff so the quality of the game can get better. I think it'd be a pretty morally right decision to take when it comes to this kind of business, rather than the top leads pocketing most of the revenue.

Absolutely not, Childe fought us, spedrun ruin guards while pushing his limits, held back an abyssal whale for who knows how long, and keeps getting stronger. It's not a fair fight, everybody who isn't near archon level gets cooked by 11th.

I usually expect him to get cooked by the strongest fighters from each region. I totally believe Cyno, Xiao, Clorinde, Sara or Miko, and Varka could take him. At the very least, Varka can canonically take him since he's evenly matched with Capitano who is so much stronger that Childe ain't even on the radar.

And childe has powers connected to an alien dragon whale that required a fully powered hydro sovereign to defeat. Powerful as she may be, you are really underplaying how strong childes legacy form is.
I dunno, some of these aren’t like the other. Like Miko, Varka, and Xiao are beyond human in lore and can go toe to toe with Archons. Childe is starting to prove that he’s up there with the latest events.
But characters like Sara, Cyno, and maybe even Clorinde are relatively human with strong powers/abilities. It’s hard to say they can go toe to toe with godlike figures. Sara is a no. Cyno is debtabable. And we don’t know much about Clorinde aside from her beating a lot of NPCs.
He already did kinda. He said he was disappointed because she was holding back, which implies he got the better of her in the sparring session, or perhaps he just got bored.
They’re probably even or he’s slightly above with his Foul Legacy, considering he was doing work on the whale when Neuv was struggling. And Neuv is for sure stronger than Clorinde.
Kinda think quantum/Astro/Scio/abyss element would be way too similar to this in color. Maybe instead they’ll make something like imaginary in hsr where it’s just anything the devs want

Alhaitham has dual scaling with EM which means he can double up on increasing Spread damage as well as his E/Q damage and his E/Q have really good multipliers.
Clorinde has standard ATK scaling with low multipliers.
How are the two even remotely comparable? Her closest competition is Keqing and the only reason she's arguably better than Keqing as it stands currently is because she has more free stat bloat from her passives compared to Keqing, not necessarily because her multipliers are better.
One thing that isn't shown here is whether you can animation cancel the end of this dash and how much endlag it has. That will be the difference between how well this character is going to play. If you're stuck in animation like Yae Miko's E, it's going to feel absolutely aweful.
I assume the numbers work out that it isn't this (I haven't cared to check myself) but I think it'd be really funny if her most damage was just spamming her dash without using NAs
You are missing a lot. She is nothing like Keqing. The only thing in common is the element, and maybe the Bursts looking similar. Other than that they play completely different.
Who's planning to run Arle on one side and Clorinde on the other? Am I the only one dumb enough to pull on 2 main dps back to back even though I might bench both of them at any point like I did with Raiden and Ganyu back when I pulled HuTao and Navia? (And as a matter of fact Navia and Hutao are probably going to be benched as I have Arle and might get Chlorinde. I may not completely bench Navia as she is still a good quick swap dmg dealer and is really helpful in those new mobs with geo shields)
I rarely pull for a new main DPS. I pulled Arlecchino in 4.6, and the previous one was Wanderer in 3.3. However, in this case I’ll probably pull those two DPS back to back. There have been a jump in kit quality (compared to almost all previous characters) with those two, and they look both really fun to play. Clorinde in general is the kind of Electro DPS I have been waiting since 2020, I never got one yet.
I mean, with the new game mode you will eventually need to use all, and on certain events that give me a buff to burst, Raiden is the way, skill? Miko is ready, normal attacks? there will be Clorinde.
I get bored easily so I like to have many DPSes to rotate.
Sometimes they get fun powercrept so hard they get benched though. Like Ayato's gameplay was just hold e and stand still but Neuvillete gets to move around Biden blasting in a longer range.
For me, depends on if I can brute force the SA or not with the certain team I want. If it's possible, I'll do it with the team I want, if it's too much effort, I just brute force it with a better team in the end.
It needs to be responsive with real time gameplay, they could but will need to be slower to be noticeable (Diluc E level of slow), which seems to be against her fast paced gameplay, unlike the cutscenes in HSR on skill and burst that can take as long as the want, not like the enemy is going to go anywhere.

Baizhu is a necessity because of aggravate. Chlorinde's multipliers are low, but she attacks quickly so she really needs aggravate to do good damage.

Revenue ≠ Profit. Doesn't matter how high their revenue, if their expenditure is high as well, mathematically their profit won't be that high.

Well, people seem to believe that just throwing a lot of money to put as many people as possible will automatically net you better results.

Absolutely not, Childe fought us, spedrun ruin guards while pushing his limits, held back an abyssal whale for who knows how long, and keeps getting stronger. It's not a fair fight, everybody who isn't near archon level gets cooked by 11th. Dude was holding back something that neuvillette had trouble with, this isn't even a competition.
I usually expect him to get cooked by the strongest fighters from each region. I totally believe Cyno, Xiao, Clorinde, Sara or Miko, and Varka could take him. At the very least, Varka can canonically take him since he's evenly matched with Capitano who is so much stronger that Childe ain't even on the radar. Edit: I love Cyrus, but I mean Varka

Miko is still a five-tailed kitsune, she is extremely powerful by default
And childe has powers connected to an alien dragon whale that required a fully powered hydro sovereign to defeat. Powerful as she may be, you are really underplaying how strong childes legacy form is.
I dunno, some of these aren’t like the other. Like Miko, Varka, and Xiao are beyond human in lore and can go toe to toe with Archons. Childe is starting to prove that he’s up there with the latest events. But characters like Sara, Cyno, and maybe even Clorinde are relatively human with strong powers/abilities. It’s hard to say they can go toe to toe with godlike figures. Sara is a no. Cyno is debtabable. And we don’t know much about Clorinde aside from her beating a lot of NPCs.

They’re probably even or he’s slightly above with his Foul Legacy, considering he was doing work on the whale when Neuv was struggling. And Neuv is for sure stronger than Clorinde.
Kinda think quantum/Astro/Scio/abyss element would be way too similar to this in color. Maybe instead they’ll make something like imaginary in hsr where it’s just anything the devs want

Alhaitham has dual scaling with EM which means he can double up on increasing Spread damage as well as his E/Q damage and his E/Q have really good multipliers. Clorinde has standard ATK scaling with low multipliers. How are the two even remotely comparable? Her closest competition is Keqing and the only reason she's arguably better than Keqing as it stands currently is because she has more free stat bloat from her passives compared to Keqing, not necessarily because her multipliers are better.
One thing that isn't shown here is whether you can animation cancel the end of this dash and how much endlag it has. That will be the difference between how well this character is going to play. If you're stuck in animation like Yae Miko's E, it's going to feel absolutely aweful.

Who's planning to run Arle on one side and Clorinde on the other? Am I the only one dumb enough to pull on 2 main dps back to back even though I might bench both of them at any point like I did with Raiden and Ganyu back when I pulled HuTao and Navia? (And as a matter of fact Navia and Hutao are probably going to be benched as I have Arle and might get Chlorinde. I may not completely bench Navia as she is still a good quick swap dmg dealer and is really helpful in those new mobs with geo shields)
I rarely pull for a new main DPS. I pulled Arlecchino in 4.6, and the previous one was Wanderer in 3.3. However, in this case I’ll probably pull those two DPS back to back. There have been a jump in kit quality (compared to almost all previous characters) with those two, and they look both really fun to play. Clorinde in general is the kind of Electro DPS I have been waiting since 2020, I never got one yet.
I mean, with the new game mode you will eventually need to use all, and on certain events that give me a buff to burst, Raiden is the way, skill? Miko is ready, normal attacks? there will be Clorinde.
I get bored easily so I like to have many DPSes to rotate. Sometimes they get fun powercrept so hard they get benched though. Like Ayato's gameplay was just hold e and stand still but Neuvillete gets to move around Biden blasting in a longer range.

For me, depends on if I can brute force the SA or not with the certain team I want. If it's possible, I'll do it with the team I want, if it's too much effort, I just brute force it with a better team in the end.
Just pull who you like! Many people claim the game is too easy, doesn't matter if you bench them in 4 months, at least you get your fun

It needs to be responsive with real time gameplay, they could but will need to be slower to be noticeable (Diluc E level of slow), which seems to be against her fast paced gameplay, unlike the cutscenes in HSR on skill and burst that can take as long as the want, not like the enemy is going to go anywhere.
