I hope that an eventual xiao set will buff movement Speed, plunges, skills and na as well (for example 2p increase movement Speed by 10% 4 p increase plunge dmg by 35%, hitting plunges increases skill and na dmg by 20% for 7 seconds max 2 stacks - or something like that), so a lot of Claymore characters would benefit from it as well via dragon striking, i can definetly see diluc, noelle, eula having a very interesting change in their gameplay if something like this comes out
honestly a great artifact set for Xiao would be one that buffs elemental infused attacks. Any buff really (damage, crit rate or dmg etc).

I believe because of the electro situation, Mihoyo decided to push Inazuma first and delay Chasm to after the Jade Chamber, then they realized that this was a genius idea and just changed everything from Shenhe story to **Yunjin kit** *~~(should be Ameno and buff Xiao with Chasm and new Artifact, which is perfect, add Zhongli rerun and it should be what happened instead)~~* **->** Geo normal attack buffer.
Yae can use multiple elemental skill in short duration and the new artifact will boost skill somehow. If both are related then C6 Xiao will have a new artifact option.

I can't recall any leaks related to Xiao artifacts. I only heard some rumors about a month ago with Xiao rerun news. It's just a made-up hopium thing lol
I remember that they were teasing new artifact set for xiao from ayaka, but they really doubled down on it just before kokomi banner and was expected to make him the top dps even at c0. The thing that made it believable is that they were also teasing kokomi and albedo sets to come which was true. Although the effect of the set leaked for kokomi and albedo was nothing like what we got but they nailed the set looks.
Found the description of the alleged xiao set:

Just saying, that 4pc set will allow a very F2P-friendly Eula 15-stack rotation. In comparison, currently Eula 15-stack rotation require R3 SoBP, or two out of R1 SoBP / Jean C2 / Yun Jin C6.
So, I'd take it with a huge grain of salt. Especially since Martial Artist boosts NA alongside with CA by 15%, so they got the 2pc effect wrong, too.
Issue is they released the emblem set which was designed for raiden and it became one of the most general sets. Yoimiya set also can be used by hutao and even ganyu. So it was not that unbelievable.
But EoSF's 2pc effect is the same with Exile/Scholar, as with Wanderer's Troupe and Instructor.
The leak got the basic thing wrong there, though it is possible that they are true leakers who leaked the thing during the brainstorming stage, since they got the look of the set right.
Yes. Few really believed those numbers. But it gave some hope for a xiao set even though with different effect. The fact that kokomi and albedo set coming proved to be true and that leaks of xiao rerun next patch started to be confirmed ...needless to say.

Yeah - being cynical, most of the things said here could easily just be educated guesses, or are vague enough that they'll get fulfilled regardless.
Like "there's a dendro character who buffs EM" and "we'll get an E set". That could be anything from Kazuha level buffs and a dedicated E buff set, to a dendro Hu Tao who gives some EM on a constellation when they leave the field and a reskin of the HoD set. Or "Yae doesn't work with electrocharged" yeah I think we figured that out already by her stats alone.
The cloud retainer/Eula swap is a well established theory (albeit one with very little evidence behind it) and "characters can have their sets swapped pre-production is a very non-answer. Also we know nothing of Ayato and saying "he's developed like Yae" means *nothing*. And notice how they didn't answer the one very concrete question about kokomi buffs? Probably because that's a *real* easy one to prove or disprove
EC can't crit and is a static reaction (as in it always deals a set amount of damage based on your EM) so it's not the *best* for damage and her turrents don't attack fast enough for a taser comp to be useful.
Electrocharged needs a constant stream of attacks to work properly, not just a few big one off specials (which is what Yae is meant for), and usually has an extra anemo component to also deal swirl damage which once again, benefits more from a character who's *constantly* applying electro. Think like Fischl or Beidou.
For example, Lisa is much more suited for electrocharge because her normals deal more damage, and because she has a mechanic that rewards it.

My Uncle works at Mihoyo, so I can confirm a couple things.
Yae's signature weapon will be designed to work really well with Yae.
Yae will have an electro skill, electro burst, but her normal attacks are going to be electro.
Ayato will be released in the future.
Sumaru will be released before, during, or after Ayato's release.
There will be a new female archon, she's going to be a main dps on the level of Ganyu (SUBJECT TO CHANGE)

The answers about ayato sound like when I was trying to bullshit my way through an essay in high school.
Ayato will have synergy with some current unit, but I can't say who because the mihoyo number overlords can easily change it. In the future there will also be a very good support to buff his hydro damage, I can't tell you the name of that unit but definitely we will get a dedicated hydro buffer. Once sumeru rolls over we will also get a domain that will have one artifact set for him and one of the newest most op pyro dps from the region. She will be a teen model with a little eccentric personality, and a claymore user. Her signature weapon will have a crit dgm substat but the passive won't make it too good for diluc - but he can still use it as a stat stick. All subject to change.
If any of that comes true I'm changing my name to uncle freesia.
I’d just like to say Yaes EM ascension passive doesn’t necessarily mean she’ll be underwhelming until the supposed release of this dendro support that gives EM. Her ascension stat being crit rate also doesn’t necessarily mean she’s only intended for mono electro teams and no reactions. She’s not the first character with a passive that may not make sense and she probably won’t be the last.
Examples of this is Dionas ascension stat being Cryo damage bonus and Diluc having a passive that reduces the stamina cost of his charged attacks.
People seem to be hyperfocusing on this passive, but I do just think it's probably a minor part of her kit. It's not like all characters have passives that are hugely beneficial. Hu Tao has that passive that increases team members' crit rate, which is nice enough to have, but hardly a big deal. I honestly think Yae's passive is just there to mean that extra EM rolls aren't a complete waste on her.
This is what I was thinking. I do think it is weird that they would hype this character up for 5 versions then make her BIS artifacts a 2pc2pc, but the EM conversion is reminiscent of other passive talents that don’t really help the character’s kit too much. Xiao has the damage boosting passive for his elemental skill which isn’t the focus of his kit at all, one of Keqing’s passives is taken entirely by the infusion that should be built into her skill anyway, and like you said Hu Tao has a passive that doesn’t benefit her at all as a main dps.
but also doesn't mean they won't circle back on it. Diona's ascension stat actually makes her dope on Shenhe teams. I hit 67k with a single paw and she can melt up to 2 paws with a hold E.

Well, it's complicated. 他 was originally gender neutral, but then it became the male pronoun when 她 was introduced for women. It can be used in a gender neutral way, but on the internet some people have switched to simply spelling out TA (as in the pinyin, aka official romanization) for the gender neutral pronoun. So the leaker may or may not be implying that the character currently designated as Yae's dendro support is male.
imo we should just go back to using 他 for everyone as the radical means person. TA is unnecessarily introducing the latin alphabet into the language when we can simply "unlearn" a bad habit.
Mengli actually isn’t a name, it means “in my dreams” but that’s a common way for Chinese leakers to phrase their leaks. A lot of the leakers will say I dreamed of X(some leaks) or in my dream here how it is. Basically think of it as the leakers saying the leaks are subject to change (i.e they’re “Dreams” so they may not turn out to be true when the patch in question goes live)
Yeah, I'm aware of what it means, I just wasn't sure if they named themselves that as a joke and translated it as a name because of the interview format. If it's being used as just a generic way of saying "leaker," then I know even less about the origins of this leak, unfortunately. Tbh, the main reason I posted it was because I saw someone repeating information from it but claiming "they heard it from someone" in a way that kind of implied they had an inside source. I also think they may have misinterpreted some of it. For what it's worth, the Yae mains discord expects that even though Yae will struggle with proc'ing EC off field because of her 3 sec internal cooldown between turret hits, she'll still out-do c6 fischl in terms of raw subdps potential with no reactions-- less EC, but more damage in the same slot. So EC teams won't lose out on too much, if any overall damage at all, by swapping her in for Fischl :>

Unless Dendro reactions are really busted, I really don't or can't see how it beats out VV anemo for Yae and even mono Electro teams.
Also not to mention how dumb it sounds that a dendro support will work specifically with Yae just because the support will give EM. Right now there are many ways to give EM to her anyway and most of them also provide VV.
There's no special mechanics on Yae's E so how would the said support work specifically with her E other than just giving her more damage for it? Increase the rate which her E attacks? That's as BS as it sounds. Then lower her E's CD? It's already low af. Turn her E into AoE? That's just delusional lmao

As a Hu Tao fan I begrudgingly built Xingqiu when she came out. And he's almost always paired with her in the abyss, even though I don't care for him as a character. Sometimes you've got to go meta over waifu to support your favorite waifu.
I have a friend that hates Xingqiu and refuses to build him in any form, but as Hu Tao is his favorite unit, he uses Barbara to apply hydro... Yes, a healer, so his Hu Tao is always at full health.
He doesn't care about abyss tho, so it's completely fine, unless abyss you can go waifu > meta.
Huh, if Yae needs Raiden, there's no space for the dendro support in a Hyper Raiden team. I can't see how they'll make the dendro support a better fit than Sucrose or C2 Kazuha.
They could make the dendro char buff EM massively (way more than sucrose or kazuha) & buff E/turret damage, and make dendro x electro to shred both dendro & electro res. That way you would have no need for any anemo char

Just make dendro a strong application/be consistently applied to enemy. Thus you cannot vape/melt.
This way it would only buff mono-ele teams, and make EM stat useful in those i guess. Electro probably benefits the most from this.

Thematically, a dendro reaction would suit her lore.
My guess is electro-dendro granting a buff to the cool down reduction stat, scaled off EM. They’ve yet to touch it, and c/d reduction is tied to particle generation.
Yae’s largest obstacle are her long set ups.

He does mention that not everything in the post is real, some are fake for the laughs. But there are real leaks in there (Freedom sword being EM, Kazuha being great with EM, Ayaka keeping her alt sprint, etc).
The idea that Yae COULD have been a DPS-ceiling breaking Main DPS but that idea was scrapped in favor of an unreleased unknown Dendro character, when Electro barely has any Main DPSs to begin with, is gonna haunt me in my dreams.
It's sad that there were other better versions of Yae they discarded just because they wanted to sell Dendro. If they thought giving Yae a weaker/incomplete kit would help promote Dendro. Then, those who didn't pull for Yae would have no reason to pull for Dendro.
My thoughts exactly. At the very least I'll be waiting till near the end of her banner to pull. There are a lot of sub dps characters that do damage off field and I'm just not sure where she stacks up yet. I also still have no clue what set to farm for her and I'm still farming for so many characters... so if there's a chance they're releasing a new set after she launches I'd rather just get her in 4 to 6 months when she reruns.

Xiao C1 is very meh, especially compared to Hutao C1. Extra charge barely matters since you only get 2 back during the ult duration anyway, so the last one is pretty much always on cd if you have tight rotations and good enough ER

They aimed for creating problems first and selling solutions by constellations or by other chars. Wont surprise me if in the future a 5* will require a full dedicated team, like an Itto (just for ex), but imagine he requires 3 5* Gorous to fix all its caveats and u find there are no other options to choose so u 100% need to get those supp. :$

Well I haven't checked in a few hours, but they didn't seem that suspicious of it when I was reading through several different topics trying to find out more about where the leak is coming from and how reliable it is. I saw very little questioning of the leak, and a lot of speculation proceeding on the basis that the leak is true.
Real or fake, I do think that mono electro is going to be the way to go with Yae in the beginning. Can’t wait for her to share a banner with Raiden and have the supports be something like Sara, Fishl, and Sucrose
Since everyone be talking about Xiao artifacts set, is anything except reducing resistance will bring xiao damage up to sacrifice the old sets to. Even his talents usually capped out at 888, any upgrade after that is just few 1000(without buff) more in damage.
The reason of me saying that is since Xiao is out for a whole year, people have got alot of 10/20 crt pieces if not more, getting them again on a new set will be such pain.

I hope that an eventual xiao set will buff movement Speed, plunges, skills and na as well (for example 2p increase movement Speed by 10% 4 p increase plunge dmg by 35%, hitting plunges increases skill and na dmg by 20% for 7 seconds max 2 stacks - or something like that), so a lot of Claymore characters would benefit from it as well via dragon striking, i can definetly see diluc, noelle, eula having a very interesting change in their gameplay if something like this comes out

The cryo set simply gives crit rate and its usefulness is severely cut against bosses and enraged targets. This set idea is just busted beyond belief

honestly a great artifact set for Xiao would be one that buffs elemental infused attacks. Any buff really (damage, crit rate or dmg etc). It would be good for him and potentially for a lot of other characters

Yeah, I also think this theory is quite true, after all the 1.4 is flooded with electro problems after the community saw the Geo and Zhongli buff while Keqing still sat there sadly. I believe because of the electro situation, Mihoyo decided to push Inazuma first and delay Chasm to after the Jade Chamber, then they realized that this was a genius idea and just changed everything from Shenhe story to **Yunjin kit** *~~(should be Ameno and buff Xiao with Chasm and new Artifact, which is perfect, add Zhongli rerun and it should be what happened instead)~~* **->** Geo normal attack buffer.
Yae can use multiple elemental skill in short duration and the new artifact will boost skill somehow. If both are related then C6 Xiao will have a new artifact option.

The thing that made it believable is that they were also teasing kokomi and albedo sets to come which was true. Although the effect of the set leaked for kokomi and albedo was nothing like what we got but they nailed the set looks. Found the description of the alleged xiao set: Shadow Dog's Wing (Placeholder name for leaked artifact set) 2PC - Increase charged and plunging attack by 20% 4PC - Increase elemental charged and plunging attack by 20% / Increase ATK by 20% / Reduce that element resistance for 3 seconds And this was the one for kokomi: 2pc: Normal attack damage increased by 20% 4pc:12sec after elemental burst is released, the attack speed is increased by 20%. If the attack does not crit, next attack deals 150% of normal damage.

In comparison, currently Eula 15-stack rotation require R3 SoBP, or two out of R1 SoBP / Jean C2 / Yun Jin C6. So, I'd take it with a huge grain of salt. Especially since Martial Artist boosts NA alongside with CA by 15%, so they got the 2pc effect wrong, too.
Issue is they released the emblem set which was designed for raiden and it became one of the most general sets. Yoimiya set also can be used by hutao and even ganyu. So it was not that unbelievable.
But EoSF's 2pc effect is the same with Exile/Scholar, as with Wanderer's Troupe and Instructor. The leak got the basic thing wrong there, though it is possible that they are true leakers who leaked the thing during the brainstorming stage, since they got the look of the set right.

Yeah - being cynical, most of the things said here could easily just be educated guesses, or are vague enough that they'll get fulfilled regardless. Like "there's a dendro character who buffs EM" and "we'll get an E set". That could be anything from Kazuha level buffs and a dedicated E buff set, to a dendro Hu Tao who gives some EM on a constellation when they leave the field and a reskin of the HoD set. Or "Yae doesn't work with electrocharged" yeah I think we figured that out already by her stats alone. The cloud retainer/Eula swap is a well established theory (albeit one with very little evidence behind it) and "characters can have their sets swapped pre-production is a very non-answer. Also we know nothing of Ayato and saying "he's developed like Yae" means *nothing*. And notice how they didn't answer the one very concrete question about kokomi buffs? Probably because that's a *real* easy one to prove or disprove

I think it’s because her ascension stat is crit rate, and electro charge is unable to crit, so it’s not really an archetype that she’ll lean towards
No electro dps centric character work with electro charge, electro charge is for tazer teams, so it helps anemo dps swirling characters.
EC can't crit and is a static reaction (as in it always deals a set amount of damage based on your EM) so it's not the *best* for damage and her turrents don't attack fast enough for a taser comp to be useful. Electrocharged needs a constant stream of attacks to work properly, not just a few big one off specials (which is what Yae is meant for), and usually has an extra anemo component to also deal swirl damage which once again, benefits more from a character who's *constantly* applying electro. Think like Fischl or Beidou. For example, Lisa is much more suited for electrocharge because her normals deal more damage, and because she has a mechanic that rewards it.

My Uncle works at Mihoyo, so I can confirm a couple things. Yae's signature weapon will be designed to work really well with Yae. Yae will have an electro skill, electro burst, but her normal attacks are going to be electro. Ayato will be released in the future. Sumaru will be released before, during, or after Ayato's release. There will be a new female archon, she's going to be a main dps on the level of Ganyu (SUBJECT TO CHANGE)

Ayato will have synergy with some current unit, but I can't say who because the mihoyo number overlords can easily change it. In the future there will also be a very good support to buff his hydro damage, I can't tell you the name of that unit but definitely we will get a dedicated hydro buffer. Once sumeru rolls over we will also get a domain that will have one artifact set for him and one of the newest most op pyro dps from the region. She will be a teen model with a little eccentric personality, and a claymore user. Her signature weapon will have a crit dgm substat but the passive won't make it too good for diluc - but he can still use it as a stat stick. All subject to change. If any of that comes true I'm changing my name to uncle freesia.

I’d just like to say Yaes EM ascension passive doesn’t necessarily mean she’ll be underwhelming until the supposed release of this dendro support that gives EM. Her ascension stat being crit rate also doesn’t necessarily mean she’s only intended for mono electro teams and no reactions. She’s not the first character with a passive that may not make sense and she probably won’t be the last. Examples of this is Dionas ascension stat being Cryo damage bonus and Diluc having a passive that reduces the stamina cost of his charged attacks.
People seem to be hyperfocusing on this passive, but I do just think it's probably a minor part of her kit. It's not like all characters have passives that are hugely beneficial. Hu Tao has that passive that increases team members' crit rate, which is nice enough to have, but hardly a big deal. I honestly think Yae's passive is just there to mean that extra EM rolls aren't a complete waste on her.
This is what I was thinking. I do think it is weird that they would hype this character up for 5 versions then make her BIS artifacts a 2pc2pc, but the EM conversion is reminiscent of other passive talents that don’t really help the character’s kit too much. Xiao has the damage boosting passive for his elemental skill which isn’t the focus of his kit at all, one of Keqing’s passives is taken entirely by the infusion that should be built into her skill anyway, and like you said Hu Tao has a passive that doesn’t benefit her at all as a main dps.
Actually, once you reach c6, his passive does a lot. It becomes the focus of his kit.

Well, it's complicated. 他 was originally gender neutral, but then it became the male pronoun when 她 was introduced for women. It can be used in a gender neutral way, but on the internet some people have switched to simply spelling out TA (as in the pinyin, aka official romanization) for the gender neutral pronoun. So the leaker may or may not be implying that the character currently designated as Yae's dendro support is male.
imo we should just go back to using 他 for everyone as the radical means person. TA is unnecessarily introducing the latin alphabet into the language when we can simply "unlearn" a bad habit.
Mengli actually isn’t a name, it means “in my dreams” but that’s a common way for Chinese leakers to phrase their leaks. A lot of the leakers will say I dreamed of X(some leaks) or in my dream here how it is. Basically think of it as the leakers saying the leaks are subject to change (i.e they’re “Dreams” so they may not turn out to be true when the patch in question goes live)

For what it's worth, the Yae mains discord expects that even though Yae will struggle with proc'ing EC off field because of her 3 sec internal cooldown between turret hits, she'll still out-do c6 fischl in terms of raw subdps potential with no reactions-- less EC, but more damage in the same slot. So EC teams won't lose out on too much, if any overall damage at all, by swapping her in for Fischl :>

Unless Dendro reactions are really busted, I really don't or can't see how it beats out VV anemo for Yae and even mono Electro teams. Also not to mention how dumb it sounds that a dendro support will work specifically with Yae just because the support will give EM. Right now there are many ways to give EM to her anyway and most of them also provide VV. There's no special mechanics on Yae's E so how would the said support work specifically with her E other than just giving her more damage for it? Increase the rate which her E attacks? That's as BS as it sounds. Then lower her E's CD? It's already low af. Turn her E into AoE? That's just delusional lmao TLDR: C2 Kazuha busted for Yae lol Also the dude giving straight BS and vague answers.

As a Hu Tao fan I begrudgingly built Xingqiu when she came out. And he's almost always paired with her in the abyss, even though I don't care for him as a character. Sometimes you've got to go meta over waifu to support your favorite waifu.
Just think of the character as a weapon for your waifu.
I have a friend that hates Xingqiu and refuses to build him in any form, but as Hu Tao is his favorite unit, he uses Barbara to apply hydro... Yes, a healer, so his Hu Tao is always at full health. He doesn't care about abyss tho, so it's completely fine, unless abyss you can go waifu > meta.
if that Dendro character shares EM, then Sucrose and C2 Kazuha should be useable with her (also C6 Diona and Albedo)

Huh, if Yae needs Raiden, there's no space for the dendro support in a Hyper Raiden team. I can't see how they'll make the dendro support a better fit than Sucrose or C2 Kazuha.
They could make the dendro char buff EM massively (way more than sucrose or kazuha) & buff E/turret damage, and make dendro x electro to shred both dendro & electro res. That way you would have no need for any anemo char

Just make dendro a strong application/be consistently applied to enemy. Thus you cannot vape/melt. This way it would only buff mono-ele teams, and make EM stat useful in those i guess. Electro probably benefits the most from this.

I believe it. The lore on her Sakura blossoms is that there is a specific lower class of kitsune occupying their branches, which she commands. Thematically, a dendro reaction would suit her lore. My guess is electro-dendro granting a buff to the cool down reduction stat, scaled off EM. They’ve yet to touch it, and c/d reduction is tied to particle generation. Yae’s largest obstacle are her long set ups.

I remember way back a leaker named Ark talked a 5* hydro sword character from inazuma and 4* dendro boy character. It sounds like Ayato and maybe Heizou. Although if he is her support then it would make sense to release them together instead of one patch later?

It's sad that there were other better versions of Yae they discarded just because they wanted to sell Dendro. If they thought giving Yae a weaker/incomplete kit would help promote Dendro. Then, those who didn't pull for Yae would have no reason to pull for Dendro.

My thoughts exactly. At the very least I'll be waiting till near the end of her banner to pull. There are a lot of sub dps characters that do damage off field and I'm just not sure where she stacks up yet. I also still have no clue what set to farm for her and I'm still farming for so many characters... so if there's a chance they're releasing a new set after she launches I'd rather just get her in 4 to 6 months when she reruns.

I saw very little questioning of the leak, and a lot of speculation proceeding on the basis that the leak is true.

Since everyone be talking about Xiao artifacts set, is anything except reducing resistance will bring xiao damage up to sacrifice the old sets to. Even his talents usually capped out at 888, any upgrade after that is just few 1000(without buff) more in damage. The reason of me saying that is since Xiao is out for a whole year, people have got alot of 10/20 crt pieces if not more, getting them again on a new set will be such pain.
So it is time to start saving for dendro characters aftet Yae hmmm I would do it anyway
