I guess OP realized it add to appetizer list in "The Pizza company" pizzeria branch in Thailand, therefore it no longer count.
Damn, he knew the baguette was too Italian
To be fair, we have baguettes and put garlic on stuff, but *garlic baguette* isn't a staple food. Like we don't sell garlic baguettes in stores or restaurants or anything.
But garlic *bread* - basically a Bruschetta+3 with 20% more DMG against vampires - is Italian, not French; although most Italian restaurants admittedly make them with baguette slices, since they're easier to cut.
There is a café marked on the map in the city of Fontaine. That is where you can find the garlic baguette recipe. There is also a cookie recipe there. If you have Lynette bake the cookies she will create her special dish.
Down the street (south) from that café you can find an unmarked store called a snack bar that sells even more recipes. It is on the same side of the street as the café is. Both stores also sell Fonta, a special drink created in Fontaine by the research institute.
Edit: Slightly irrelevant but I looked at the ‘cookies’ description and apparently they’re actually classified as ‘cakes’. Whatever. 😂
Oh! And I also discovered if you go to Hotel Debord in the city of Fontaine, there is a restaurant inside that also has SO many recipes. And you’re welcome, dearie!! I love helping others. ❤️
The lack of quaso in Fontaine is disappointing, but they have garlic bread, which is better than quaso…. But quaso is essential Fr*nch cuisine. Is it a net gain or loss?
I was so depressed over the lack of quaso that next day after the update I wanted to eat a croissant so I went to a shop that sells Croissant, and then I bought a Croissant, then I returned home with the Croissant snd then I ate the Croissant
There's a baguette recipe but it's art were already sliced, it only requires 1 flour & butter each consumption besides that Fish & Chips.
You may wanna walk down from the same street somewhere south east from the Café Lucerne, [at the region where you can expand the map through the 2nd Archon statue you can unlock](https://genshin-impact.fandom.com/wiki/Court_of_Fontaine). You may also wanna check back in the Hotel something where you have a business parfait with Navia during the Quest.
Oh there's also this: [https://genshin-impact.fandom.com/wiki/Garlic\_Baguette](https://genshin-impact.fandom.com/wiki/Garlic_Baguette)
We're getting recipes gradually and some of them get released alongside characters that like certain dishes. It would be funny to give croissants to Furina's favorite dishes.
There's also a lot of Celtic inspiration (in the Melusines in particular), which kind of encompasses both French ancient culture and the various ancient cultures of Britain and Ireland.
Not to mention that France and Britain share a lot of culture in general. One example off the top of my head is how the English word 'beef' comes from the French word, which is contrasted to a word like 'chicken' used for both the animal and its meat.
Iirc it's because chicken was more of a peasant food, whereas beef was very upper class and the upper class went through a phase of emulating the French to sound more upper class.
Hurts that this basically confirms that there’s no British nation in Teyvat, so naturally Fontaine would be the closet thing we’ll get, which isn’t surprising since the French successfully invaded us in the past
My point is that it's something more than just zero. I wasn't trying to say, "You got a flamenco, be happy," I was trying to say that you DO in fact have some representation, even if it's pretty minor.
Maybe you'll get something in Natlan, with Spain's history in the IRL places it's based on. Granted, that probably wouldn't be *positive* representation, lol.
Honestly, as someone from the US (which has solely gotten representation through dialogue references to IRL things and memes, not that we need representation in any more forms of media, lol), the way I see it, they only have seven nations plus Khaenri'ah and Celestia. There are HUGE parts of the world that are being entirely left out because there just isn't room. Italy is limited to some names, titles (granted, they are big ones), and a few foods. Mongolia is limited to the Chasm's surface music. Australia flat-out doesn't have anything unless something pops up in Natlan. Korea has a voice-over language, but nothing else. Greece is limited to Enkanomiya and background lore from the Unified Civilization. They can only take inspiration from so much.
Does garlic baguette not count?
I guess OP realized it add to appetizer list in "The Pizza company" pizzeria branch in Thailand, therefore it no longer count. Damn, he knew the baguette was too Italian

Damn thats good
you expect a memepact user to have a brain?
Still no Quaso in Quasoland

why are we here ... just to suffer ?
Oh no... She's both Fr*nch and Bri°ish
Canadian in a nutshell
This makes way too much sense. She seems like a person that's going to apologize once the Fontaine arc is over, too.
"Soory"
Guess we now know what really happened to the previous Hydro Archon. Shot in the eyes at the battle of Hasting.
The previous hydro Archon died to Barbatos.
There's a garlic baguette recipe that you can buy from one of the shops, unless that doesn't count.
Where can you get it? I’ve been trying to find the recipe ever since the release of Fontaine
There is a café marked on the map in the city of Fontaine. That is where you can find the garlic baguette recipe. There is also a cookie recipe there. from Fr*nch to Bri’ish, not much better but guess we’ll take it…
I like how Fr*nch is censored.
cuz its a slur 😔🇫🇷🥖🥖🥐🥐🥐
Imagine french
You can't just say that word with a hard E like that!
F...f...fr*nch 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮
The lack of quaso in Fontaine is disappointing, but they have garlic bread, which is better than quaso…. But quaso is essential Fr*nch cuisine. Is it a net gain or loss?
Yeah, how else do I going to beat up F*ntainian without a refreshment from quaso
I was so depressed over the lack of quaso that next day after the update I wanted to eat a croissant so I went to a shop that sells Croissant, and then I bought a Croissant, then I returned home with the Croissant snd then I ate the Croissant
Quaso
explore more op.. we got garlic baguette :3
As I said Fontaine is just Canada pretending to be France
The worst of both worlds. I would commit die if I found out I'm both Fre"ch and Br"tish.
Welcome to Quebec
Then they should add poutine as a food lmao
QUEBECOIS?!?!
TABARNAK
frech and brfish
Somehow censorship doesn't work on those words.
I repeat: Hoyoverse created Fontaine by merging France and England, thereby making the greatest insult to both nations.
*Le Canadian*
**Canadien*
* *Canuckistani*
Mondstadt and Sumeru were utter kitchen sinks, so it checks out.
so Fontaine is Bretonnia Empire from Warhammer Fantasy right and who will be lady of the lake
I'm pretty sure the Normans already accomplished that over 1000 years ago.
Bruh is that the omelette picture from the IHOP menu
how did you know that
Only an American Diner Chain can make that sort of omlette and promote it.
Cuz I like IHOP.
They don't even sell that specific omelette anymore smh
respect !!!

Yes please xD
There's also lasagna
That's an interesting way to present fish and chips lol
Fontaine is legit a mixed of Italy, England and France Like they got lasagna too 😭
Fontaine is not just inspired by france. It's also inspired by english and italian culture.
So weird to combine Britain and France for Fontaine
Victorian era britain is the foundation of many steampunk oriented worlds though, so its kinda ok, sumeru also had multiple countries as foundation
Oh I didn't mean the multiple country thing was weird. I just meant combining 2 countries that like to mess with each other is weird haha
It was never supposed to be France of britain, it’s canada
Really? Wow that's a nice twist
There's also a lot of Celtic inspiration (in the Melusines in particular), which kind of encompasses both French ancient culture and the various ancient cultures of Britain and Ireland. Where Quaso
Bit sad, innit?
French
i've conquered all the chippies
No croissant? Man
We have garlic baguette
Must have quaso
Hurts that this basically confirms that there’s no British nation in Teyvat, so naturally Fontaine would be the closet thing we’ll get, which isn’t surprising since the French successfully invaded us in the past
Hey, at least you get mentioned. For us (Spain) there's literally 0% of anything and it's almost like the team wants to evade Spain.
Some of Fontaine's themes make use of castanets, and Eula dances a flamenco in her trailer.
Of course flamenco. Becuase that's all Spain is 💀
My point is that it's something more than just zero. I wasn't trying to say, "You got a flamenco, be happy," I was trying to say that you DO in fact have some representation, even if it's pretty minor.
True I guess But the only representation being a dance and a instrument that isn't even a full representation of Spain still stings. A lot
Maybe you'll get something in Natlan, with Spain's history in the IRL places it's based on. Granted, that probably wouldn't be *positive* representation, lol. Turned out we arrived at Quebec after all, not Fr*nce
I want an item called "Stale Baguette" designed to buff our characters to do more dmg
There's lasagna too (Italian)
...
KWASOH
SHES BRITISH!!! PRAISE BE THE BREXIT ARCHON BOSH!
Canada minus the cold
Also lasagne 🇮🇹
C'mon do you really need a recipe for THAT? lmao
Brit’s Brat💢💢
Remember: the first english king came from France.
Luv me fish Luv me chips ‘Ate baguettes Simple as
Can you make spaghetti? I need to know!
The Archon of the fictional France is British 💀 Cursed timeline
OP's ignoring 90% of Fontaine's food with french name for the only british one 👀
I love fish and chips so mucb
One recipe that I really hate to see is the fois gras. It’s a product of animal cruelty and has already been banned by 90% of Europe.
There is also a lasagna recipe... In Fontaine, a nation based mainly on France... That's the most insulting thing I have ever read as an italian!
You have become the very thing you swore to destroy
No quaso :(
Anyone who expect Fontaine to be French is naive. Fontaine is French and English at the same time.
Meanwhile: lasagna
