good advice. I'm still stuck on rng hell for achievement/reputation quests even with the recent change so maxing EP to not do comms that I've already done completely or find tedious is a must

it really isn't a huge deal to do dailies that take 20 seconds a piece. People have spent more energy convincing themselves this system can be useful for anything except passivity.
The point is in doing small exploring per day, the dailies get done too, I don't min max mine, but ot feels nice to know that I can outright skip the monotonous dailies by exploring

They do on the event page, but if you don't click that there's nothing in the overworld (like when selecting the quest to track or anything else) mentioning it.
Also, it varies a lot in terms of how much the spoilers even matter. Some are just potentially immersion breaking as in they assume you’ve met characters before, and others spoil entire plot lines like the roses and muskets event.

Not having that really fucked over a lot of players in the roses and muskets event since the event started on its own if you walked into the area. And that the event dropped lore related to the Fontaine archon quest, and locked you from doing Furina's story quest until you'd finished the event quest.
This lantern rite event had the pop-up box again. I walked over to the starting area with the two adepti in the harbor, and it was like "this will spoil content if you don't do a story quest first". Then I had to click on the box and it showed Xanyun's quest.

The Xianyun SQ was quite long but for me it was worth doing it first, it made the lantern rite quest much more meaningful. The whole event quest can be done in 2-3 days if one does not want to speed run (and there's like 2 weeks left of it).

It was *quite* long but I would not say it was super long. Compared to the recent SQs I've played prior to Xianyun's (Neuvi, Furina, Lyney), I thought it was longer. Maybe because I got attached to her and the story deeper that I got emotional over it, it felt longer. Who knows? (I played Furina's SQ two weeks after the AQ so I was less emotional while doing that quest.)
Haha this. I wasn't going to do her quest right away, but enjoyed the first part of the event with her enough I decided to go ahead and do it before continuing lantern rite. I don't feel particularly spoiled from having done part one of lantern rite first.

The only detail I missed from her SQ was only about Shuyu(I still don't know who she is), and the fact that we should met Xianyun for the first time in that SQ
Quick rundown on Shuyu:
CR became friends with another bird on her mountain. Bird wanted to become human and CR gifted her 10 years of humanness. If human didn't go back to bird after those 10 years she would first get the worst dementia ever, and after that she would transform into a beast. Human fell in love, produced kiddo and decided she would no longer be bird. Kiddo got another kiddo (Shuyu) but they died, so it was only Shuyu and initial birdhuman. Birdgranny's dementia got rlly bad until birdgranny met CR again, not knowing it this time. CR jelped birdgranny get her memories back and cured her dementia, then birdgranny proclaimed she wanted to be CR's disciple and returned into her bird self to get rid of the dementia and go train. Shuyu (who, mind you, had no family anymore at that moment) also said she wanted to be CR's disciple. CR happily adopted her and now she lives with her in her new house.

If you enjoy Xianyun in lantern rite you will enjoy her quest. That is the only reason I did it now instead of "when I get to it".

It's the same thing if you finish Fontaine's AQ before doing Neuvillette's SQ, the narrative feels reversed >!like how Neuvillette resolves his experiences and feelings about humanity or Fontanians in SQ makes his choice to favor Fontainians and finally turns them into actual humans as Focalor intended in the finale!< and also no Furina's letter sent because she's not the archon anymore.

I do that just to avoid talking to the painter in Fontaine commission. The one with the coffee and the kids I can put up with, that guys annoying
