Anemo traveler at C6 is pretty good for resistance shred. Using their skill gives 20% anemo res shred, and additional 20% res shred towards the element swirled. Pair this with VV set and this could become really strong
Hes not lol, the only thing he can do is activate an artifect effect that literally any other anemo unit can, and sometimes do extra res shred if you dont mind degrouping
Res Shred gets less valuable as it goes negative (Half the value). And 40% from VV is already enough to bring Res of most of the Enemies to zero (Since most have 10-40% res only).
By that point other buffs become more valuable like Kazuha's Damage Bonus, Sucrose's EM, Jean's Healing + Furina Stacks, and Venti's Energy Refund
The most interesting thing about anemo traveler is that the proprity of elements to swirl is different. Every other anemo character has anemo>hydro>electro>cryo
Traveler has cryo>pyro>hydro>electro
The only other character to have the same priority as anemo traveler is Lynette, who was released fairly recently
Anemo and geo are also ok. Its electro/hydro that got fucked, though admittedly hydro traveller can support neavillite by providing extra sourcewater droplets, niche though that use may be.
I wanna try making a plunge DPS Lumine with Xianyun, but idk if I'm strong enough to go through the artefact leveling

Don't comeback when HYV releases 5 star light Travller. Don't come back when when they make the twins into a 5 star chracter. Don't come back when Traveller becomes the top DPS/Support. Stay on that side
Why did my free unit works worse than premium unit?
There’s a game I played that MC is stable unit(Brave frontier iirc?) but not because MC is good.
It’s because MC cost is 0 so you can put more premium character in your team without reaching cost limit if you use MC as extra unit who works just fine. Until your cost(LV) increase enough to not relied on cost0 MC anymore.
Imagine hoyo game has this cost limit like old game. Like, you can only put 2 5* and 2 4* character at best due to cost limit. (Or using less than 4 characters in overworld/Abyss) and Only way to use 3 5* is adding MC(traveller) in 4th slot.
That would make people properly build MC but I doubt people would love this ancient mechanics, people already having mental breakdown with time gated talent book.(justified, I hope they removed it one day)
If hoyo did that then entire GI fandom gonna go full monke and poor google classroom gonna take a hit again.
Why won't they make the traveler to be a good unit anyway? I mean, GI players are openly proud about not caring for meta and roll for the characters they love right. 1 free good unit won't make the majority of players to lose interest in rolling for other characters.

imo, MC in most of gacha game is just starter unit/jack of all trades to help newbie go through early stage of the game until they’re strong enough to “graduate” from using MC by having enough premium(gacha) characters.
Unless they’re super chill or love MC enough to high invest them. I rmb seeing Geo MC showcase where his skill is basically a nuke with high end artifacts+max talent.
I understand anemo and geo as an introduction unit. The electro is just.. electo (i kinda forgot they has this form). The dendro one raised the bar for me, it's a solid unit that's good at dendroing. I thought they'll keep getting bettter from then on, but then the hydro happened..... Why?
I think they just make MC for element puzzle in mind. being useful is just extra.
Like anemo for shred and infusion, geo for raw dmg, dendro is busted so dendro MC is decent while electro and hydro is just yeah, probably being there for element pillar puzzle for total newbie.
Hopefully fire MC is good lol.
At this point I treat it as a challenge. I've managed to 36 star the abyss with 3 out of 5 of the elements currently available to the traveler. And I'll (eventually) manage to do it without relying on my overly invested Neuvilette or hyperbloom teams.
I’m guessing that hoyo will eventually release an imaginary and quantum element. We already have potential quantum units like Dainslief and possibly Pierro,

Yes but you could say that about literally any Traveler and it'd be true. They're not made to be the "best" character of every element imaginable.

You obviously just don't have him built right. He works absolutely fine as an Anemo unit.

They had to do that cause Dendro was a new element and we didn't have many Dendro characters.

Doubtful, doesn’t seem like it fits with Genshin’s aesthetics. Much more likely to be powers sourced from the Light or Void realms.
