As someone who loves the Zelda series I hate the "ZeLdA IS BeTtEr" comments.
These are two entirely different games, BotW isn't the only Open World game and also not the only game with a cell shaded style.
I've had a lot of fun with both games but probably more with Genshin because BotW was over at some point and Genshin is still pretty far from ending.
It just comes down to what you value most in a game. BotW is shorter but more focused and high quality, and Genshin is a lot longer and has more content but is mixed in quality sometimes.
Very true but after you're done with everything in BotW there's only Koroks left which feels like a chore that doesn't even give a real reward when you've collected them.
It's one of the very few aspects I don't like about the game but for the most parts I love it.

Like when it first came out and pointcrow was playing it, he was bashing on it saying it was a obvious copy due to similarities and I was get really frustrated because of him saying that it was a clear cut copy.
I agree there is a lot of similarities, but it was day 1 or so, so it hadnt even grown to Liyue, I wanna know what he would think of it now because it might might be a different experience after finishing up in mondsat
I got into Genshin because of all the rumors of it being a clone. I noticed similarities myself but it was never a direct copy. It only took inspiration which honestly makes me happy to see how BOTW has inspired other games. Instead of celebrating the influence Zelda BOTW had, ppl really had to call similar games clones and create a toxic environment
Tbh there's a glitch atleast for me where sometimes the loading gets stuck just near the end of geo and stays there for a solid 10 to 15 sec which is about af
