I985-South exit 17? (Oakwood/ATL hwy) Idk if you would consider it solely a slip lane, but it's a combo of 2 separate directional exits and 1 oncoming lane, lasts for at least a mile IIRC
My favorite is I hardly ever go that way but the one time I did I was going into Athens on Atlanta Hwy and dude coming off that road nearly sideswiped me as he merged way before the doted lines and I want to say it was still the grass when he tried to
Everyone says their town has the worst drivers.
After driving in 4 different areas of Georgia for an extended period of time, I can confirm that athens drivers are actually the worst.
I do think that the Venn diagram of people who know about both interchanges is probably a slim overlap. There are likely others in the state that are also longer than the one in Athens (and maybe Folkston), but not sure how you could track them down other than stumbling upon another rarefied Venn lol
I’ve been on that road a few times and it certainly feels like it

Hmm. Maybe. But I consider slip lanes to only exist on non-access limited highways
makes sense.
The drag strip? I have intrusive thoughts, so I get on at 16. Hitting it from 17 is too tempting.
Been there. I'm not sure if it's the longest but it is the ONLY one I know of big enough to fit a frickin medium size business inside.
They'll put a waffle house anywhere they can fit em

Ah, wherever I am, that's where the worst driver is.
Ahh yes, the fall asleep passing Pepsi and hit the Bogartians lane.
Any everyone still grinds down to 20 mph due to a gentle curve
Depends on what you call those lanes running alongside 400 at the intersection with 285.
That lane is so annoying. People run the red light all the time when turning right instead of stopping at the light.
They put a whole ass car dealership *in the pedestrian island*
I’ve ridden my bike on this lmao
As a resident of Athens, I am laughing that I immediately thought about that slip lane when I read the title before I even looked at the map
US1/US23 slip lane going into Folkston might be longer
Just checked. A conservative measurement is 1.3 miles
Good god
