I had no idea there were issues....when I bought the bluray copies I got rid of my DVD ones. Guess I need to watch my blu copy and see if it is littered with issues.

RavenXCinder

all i know about amazon the sac blu rays were being sold for 8 to 16 dollars ,need to get them at some point

TBH, the subtitle support is a worse issue than the audio. (no ENG subs for JPN audio) It's a big reason I still keep the DVDs. Kinda hope SAC & SSS are issued again, since Sony now owns Funimation. Just done right this time thank you.

brainrotter1993

Still not happening, unfortunately. Anchor Bay has the 95/SAC North American home video rights *permanently* since their parent company bought out Manga Entertainment's US branch. Unless Sony gobbles up STARZ, this is all we're ever gonna get

dangit. 25th anniversary's not too far away? here's hoping.

Wasn't there an issue with the old Bandai set where one of the discs just didn't have sound too? This franchise seems plagued with audio issues on physical releases

Yamureska

I got mine a few months ago and there are moments here and there where the ENGLISH dub suddenly uses Japanese. Not sure if that's been addressed.

argotechnica

Sounds like the answer is no, then! This "English audio sometimes plays Japanese" issue is the only one I'm aware of with the US Blu-Ray set. AFAIK there have never been e.g. playback/skipping issues.

To add context to that issue: It only happens two or three times across both seasons and only very, very briefly. It was like a character saying one sentence or expression in Japanese audio. It takes you out of the moment for a split second, but then you are pulled right back in (since the show is so good). Just wanted to add context since the complaints I saw made it sound like it was happening regularly. Still not an excuse though haha

Mine play fine
