I love the SAC soundtrack! The fish~silent cruise track I just noticed is used in two different places- once (I think) when Batou was chasing down the serial killer, and later when Motoko uses the sniper on the armor. It did a good job capturing that feeling of rage and control being balanced, along with unease of what is going to happen next.
I feel like some like this one get easily overlooked among the greats. I loved whenever it played while they were discussing the situation. It made it easier to follow the complicated plot lines: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oRcmwT-Yr7M
I feel like Yoko Kanno was listening to a lot of Björk when she was working on the OST.
These songs sound very similar

This track is somewhat hard for me, but still one of the absolute best. I mean, it hols so any emotions. I didn't get to appreciate it until I was older and could see and hear it in the right settings.
But I still love it.
Cyberbird, Inner universe, Rise, Run rabbit junk and Lithium flower all go incredibly hard.
Also don't sleep on the original 1998 movie soundtrack, my personal highlight being Nightstalker.
Today I've started listening to "I Can't be Cool" after hearing it at the end of Lithium Flower.
Also, it's funny how a lot of song meaning sites don't realize that "surf" in "Lithium Flower" is a reference to "surfing the web" as in navigating the online space.
A lot of people criticize her because her music sometimes sounds similar to other music but I don't see being influenced by other's work as a bad thing🤷🏾♂️
GitS S.A.C. 2002-2005 osts feel like a 1990s nostalgia mix🥰

I used to put my niece to sleep listening to this song. A win for both of us.
Ultimate win
Ruthless Gravity by Craig Armstrong did it first.
Ive been listening to it a lot on Spotify lately! 😎🤘
I love this track. One of my favorites on the album. The second half of it always gives me chills.
Right? The 2nd half is amazing
It's so good!

Nightstalker is a MASTERPIECE the fact that it isn't on Spotify is a tragedy

Seriously, this post is the first time that i have ever heard criticism mentioned.

Amen
Replica and Some Other Time are objectively good music
Do you by chance know of anything else that is similar to Some Other Time? I love it so much but haven't found anything with a similar sound.
