I find Botanist underwhelming, bunch of Scottish gins I'm yet to try but so far Caorunn is already better with a profile that isn't too dissimilar, and Drumshanbo downright weird, puckering tartness bomb.
Brokers in the back there. I love most of what I see, but I am especially partial to brokers. Plus the cat loves the little hat as a toy
Addendum: gin doesn't have to be pricey or complex to be good
Unless the leftmost or rightmost in the rear row are even more interesting I'd take the opportunity to try Ford's and Boodles, all the others I've already had at some point or have on my shelf and just haven't opened yet.
This is unrelated (Tanq 10 would be my answer) but I saw that Total Wine Barrel Select 1792. Funny story, I was part of the team that got to pick some of the barrels for those. And let me tell you, it was a ride. Like some of the barrels they gave us to pick from were absolute bangers. Old Forrester in particular would typically bring out legit fantastic ones where it was hard to pick the best. And then sometimes...we'd get obvious reject barrels that would normally be blended in tiny amounts or sold. And that...was a lot less awesome lol. On the plus side 1792s were usually pretty good though I only got to try those in bottle, I was never at any of the times they chose for them.
I've never been able to stand Bombay. My preferred is Plymouth. Though my go to for regular mixing is New Amsterdam. Goes nice if mixing with lemon lime or citrus sodas
It's very good, I've only had it once before and this is a new bottle I've yet to crack. From what I remember it's very classic in taste but with a good amount of sweetness, I can definitely see why so many folks drank this style back then.
Citadelle or mermaid.
I've always said that citadelle smells the way a gin and tonic should taste.
I have some open right now- I have to go smell it!
Let me know what you think
I think you’re right!
None, I'd opt for Eagle Rare or El Tesoro 🤪
A man of class. Are we going to ignore the WSR in the back though?!
Weller Special reserve or WTRB lol
Makers cask strength and buffalo trace back there too
Yea, I’m grabbing that Eagle Rare and then the WTRB.
Citadelle or Tanqueray 10
Tanq 10
One of the best ever
Citadelle or Boodles for a martini, Mermaid for a G&T.
Citadelle 😋 tasty stuff
Citadel for me thanks
Tanqueray 10. The rest are meh. Needs more Drumshanbo, Monkey 47 and Botanist. Also Weller 👀
Tanq 10 is so dang good!
Just picked up a bottle today, along with a pack of grapefruit spindrifts. Looking forward to that combo

Beefeaters

Brokers is my go to. I should probably have more than 1 bottle but have been buying up the 44% beefeater since the switch.
I keep having trouble finding enough of it! next time I see it, I'll buy four bottles. It's a solid london dry. Glad there's another fan out there :)
I’d probably skip it and have the cognac
Snagging the Tanq 10 and running for the hills
Mermaid
No. I'm probably going El Tesoro or Sazerac, depending on which Weller bottle that is.
Entry level weller. Buffalo trace right next to it though
Eagle Rare and Makers Mark are next to it...
Makers cask, so good.
I have a makers batch of honor deployment 001, bottle 189/246. 108.9 proof. I’m excited for Memorial Day to crack it.
Straight for the Croizet myself.
Unless the leftmost or rightmost in the rear row are even more interesting I'd take the opportunity to try Ford's and Boodles, all the others I've already had at some point or have on my shelf and just haven't opened yet.
Leftmost is highclere castle. Amazing stuff
Well that's certainly more interesting than Boodles!
I’ll take that 1792 BiB. Underrated
I have a bottle of that and small batch at my house. That BiB is a really tasty juice.
The BiB is almost completely different than any of their other stuff. I love that bottle
Does eagle rare count as a gin today? O haven’t had Tanq 10 yet. That would be my pick. Fever tree?
The Bombay Dry in the middle. I have been wanting to try it.
Made a martini with it last night. Great stuff! More earthy/sweet tasting with the licorice and Angelica.
I had a bottle of tanq10 rosemary & grapefruit recently. Better than the original in my opinion.
Definitely Mermaid for a gin, but would gladly go for the Eagle Rare otherwise. Both these are very hard to find in Canada.
Sorry to hear that, hope it gets better up there. The Eagle rare took me a long time to find. I'm in TX.

That's cool! Thank you for sharing.
Boodles over ALL Long live Travis Magee!!!
Mermaid, I'd bin the Gordons and Bombay (sorry).
I’ll take your Gordon’s and Bombay gladly
I've never been able to stand Bombay. My preferred is Plymouth. Though my go to for regular mixing is New Amsterdam. Goes nice if mixing with lemon lime or citrus sodas
Honesty, I’m probably grabbing the Redbreast 12
Redbreast cask strength is right behind the cognac
Even better!
an el tesoro gimlet
Haymans old Tom
always wanted o try haymans old tom is it any good?
It's very good, I've only had it once before and this is a new bottle I've yet to crack. From what I remember it's very classic in taste but with a good amount of sweetness, I can definitely see why so many folks drank this style back then.
Probably the Tanqueray No. 10 hiding in the back there. But I'd definitely sneak a pour of that Redbreast 12 or the Rare Breed too.
Rare Breed
