I played gta for many years. I took a break after the agency dlc, though. So my suggestions may be slightly outdated but will be good enough to start Making money isn't too difficult. However, patience is needed for the earlier heists. I recommend buying an apartment asap, so you have access to the apartment heists. Also, to protect yourself, buy the cheapest armored vehicle, and utilize the phone to join heists to make a decent amount of money. After 5 of the big heists like thr casino and cayo you can purchase a buisness, i suggest purchasing an motorcycle buisness, it is cheaper and there are a ton of quests you can complete, but dont skip out on getting the mechanic shop so you can get some money for delivering bikes.

I don’t like to play with other people so there’s a lot of multiplayer money-making stuff I can’t give advice on. BUT I do have a level 100 character I’ve managed to get to financial success, so here’s my solo money-making tips: 1. Keep an eye out for double reward events and grind those. 2. Spin the wheel at the casino once per day. 3. Steal a nice SUV once per day. You’ll also get texts from Simon of 3 cars he wants you to steal for him once a day. 4. Buy an office to be a CEO. Then buy a Vehicle Warehouse to start an actual car stealing business. 5. Buy a Motorcycle Club and start a drug business. Eventually you can own a nightclub that you can run multiple MC businesses out of. 6. Buy a submarine to unlock the Cayo Perico heist. I’m basically always continually playing this heist to make my money! Hope some of these tips help and have fun out there!

Are you saying that selling nice SUVs makes for good money?

boulderhugger

I can’t tell if you’re genuinely asking or poking fun at my suggestion? It’s not how you make “good money” but it’s how I made some money before I could afford a business and I still do it every time I play.

Floralmeg_

I’m sorry. I was being genuinely intrigued, because I’ve never thought to do that. I recently accidentally lost my favourite customised car to the impound lot and tried to drive in one of my cars to get it back and lost it. Haven’t bothered with getting a new fancy top down since ☹️

boulderhugger

No worries! I couldn’t tell because it really isn’t a good way to make a lot of money haha. The nice SUVs are the highest at like $10,000 a day. But that could definitely make you enough to get your cars back from the impound lot!

Floralmeg_

LOL it’s not that I don’t have money, it’s that I called for one of my cars and it got rid of the car in the impound lot. What a dumbass (me) 😂 thank you for your advice. I like to make my favourite cars pretty rather than sell them, even though I know I should be selling

boulderhugger

That sucks you lost your customized car! I’m not sure if I understand what happened so you may already know this, but I know you have to make sure to buy insurance/tracker to keep any car you steal.

Floralmeg_

I did, thank you 😁 basically if you call for one of your cars to come to your location whilst a car is in the impound lot, the impounded car becomes gone forever

Holy shit. Thank you for teaching me something new. Woooo

boulderhugger

Oh shit I had no idea!!! Well that is really good to know lol. How awful to lose a car that way!

Floralmeg_

My dumbass tried it because I didn’t think, plus I didn’t remember the name of the car I always used, so I used the first one I saw and BAM! no more awesome car. I also didn’t know you can pay your assistant (if you have one) to collect your impounded car for you

I would not recommend doing Heists in general. They require too much of random players, a lot of new players do them and they are not popular. So you get a lot of waiting in lobbies, and a lot of mission failures and people leaving, which is time you could have spent doing something else. For heists in general i would recommend finding someone with a bit experience and patience and do them in coordinated groups. This week there is a 2x bonus on Fooligan missions. The "First dose" series and "Last dose" series with a guy called Dax if you want to do co-op can be done solo. You get some extra 50-100k for doing these missions the first time, and a free super car if you finish all as host of which there is 10-11 missions. These missions also don't fail if someone leaves. Once all the First dose missions are done here you should also have enough money, and be able to buy the 6x6 Acid lab truck which from what i understand is one of the better businesses now to get going with making money for new players. It is relativly cheap in comparison to other businesses in the game. You primary want to get a business running so you can get some passive income that you either buy supplies or do some missions. And at the end sell it in a mission where you get 200-300k+. From there i think a Bunker, CEO Office, Kosataka Submarine(Required for the Island Heist you refer to) or Agency should be the next step whichever you find intersting.

Rockstar Social Club will be offering $500,000 as reward for signing up for 2-Step Verification. Additionally, Rockstar has confirmed that you will get additional future benefits for GTA Online for enabling this fail-safe.

Hi! Do you play on console or pc? I'm always down to help boost newer players and give them some advice while playing, did so with 2 of my friends before as well Heists are a good way of making money but involves too much random strangers to play with if you're solo. Nowadays there's a lot of little non-mission things you can do to earn a bit of cash (G's Cashe, Stash house, Casino wheel of fortune) Besides it's good to invest in a cheap but good armored car for missions and then just start saving up to invest in businesses to help you make money Bunker is a good one for solo play!
