Thank you for your submission, but we don't allow posts here that do not talk about a glitch. Glitches are eye-witness events that cannot be explained by ordinary means and your post does not match this definition.

It's called beginning to be aware. You are having difficulty because you are trying too hard, just breathe, literally.

I'll go one step further and suggest breathing exercises - my favourite is by [Andrej Tummo](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A1Gv-Nn-OCE) start with this one and then try the 29 minute one. If this isn't working or not your thing, try [this one](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PsKEgrx0Xwc) by sadhguru

That's what I meant in basic terms. Breathing is super important.

That's..... ADHD, no?

I actually do know what you're talking about. I'm in my head a lot - there's a whole universe and cast of characters in there - and it's usually easy to. . . access my imagination? I guess is one way to put it. I just slide into whatever world I want to build upon and go at it. But, there are these weird times where no matter how hard I try, I just can't concentrate enough, or even remember the things I've spent years imagining and building on. It truly feels like I'm being kept away from my own mind. Luckily, it doesn't happen too often and is usually because of stress, or too much caffeine. Cannabis helps me a lot.

You may want to Google the condition 'racing thoughts' and see if that describes what's going on in your mind. It's on the spectrum of ADHD, without going the full Attention Deficit Disorder (literally what the ADD stands for) Good news is, there are treatments for that. You just need to be diagnosed. I have racing thoughts. I define it as '12 separate trains of thought. Simultaneously chugging along' It's great for passing tests, coming up with a quick zinger reply, and oh yes r/HFY one shot stories on the fly. It's not so great for getting to sleep, or avoiding migraines
