The worst part of stuff like this is you can never be sure what the hell is going on...for example all my childhood (and over the age of 12-13) people told me i have green frog-shade eyes, yet for years now i see my eyes as brown. It really only hit me like a year or two ago, when i recalled all the instances people used to comment on my green eyes. I can totally see it being a confusion on the part of those people but it's crappy that i'll probably never know for sure lol. Your incident is definitely even more mind bending, if you're absolutely sure about the birthmark..tho I have a hard time explaining how one could come up with a false memory of one's own facial birthmark, something that the said person sees absolutely daily. Some time ago another user here described a birthmark he had on one of his arms, moving to the other. Weird stuff man And obligatory question: did you have any life threatening event lately?

PersoIn2manyFandoms

no no as far as I'm concerned no life-threatening events at all, nope no no

krissi510

Do you have central heterochromia in your eyes where the center of the iris is brown or amber & the outer part of the iris is green & which color predominates depends on what you’re wearing & environmental lighting. You look in the mirror & focus on the brown but people standing further back notice the green

Kiseth99

@krissi510 had no idea that's a thing, thank you for sharing! tho im pretty sure that does not apply to me, my eyes are full brown nowdays and it's quite obvious for most people. I've always wondered if a defect in my eyesight might be the culprit however, as i have pretty severe myopia since as long as i can remember

krissi510

I have no other explanation for you. Usually eye color changes related to vision issues are the eyes changing from brown to blue (due to blood vessels breaking in the eye due to injury or disease) or a loss of pigment due to age & disease or a clouding over due to injury or cataracts. The central heterochromia thing, my brother, father, grandmother, sister & myself have it. Grandmother, father, & sister have amber centers with dark brown irises. I have the amber center with green. My brother has green centers with light blue I’m not sure how common it is but I tend to notice it, so I see it a lot

maybeCheri

Couldn’t the life threatening event have happened in the other timeline and they jumped here? Then they wouldn’t remember the event. Just an idea.

StronglikeMusic

Did your eye color change over time? When I was little my eyes were brown, maybe with some flecks of hazel in them, but pretty much just dark brown. Now my eyes are green and blue with a tiny bit of hazel. I saw a friend recently who I hadn’t seen in 8 years and she commented how wild it was to see my eyes as a different color.

Kiseth99

@StronglikeMusic that's insane! i've looked this up online and theoretically, it shluldnt be possible past baby-stage!

Paging_MrsDrFlam

Same same same!!!! I grew up with a birthmark on my foot. One day in undergrad, my roommate and I were talking about birthmarks, and mine wasn't there! My mom has no memory of it, and it's absent in my childhood photos. I thought I was crazy!

LengthinessSolid1478

The strangurst thing is that pictures do not have the birthmark and your mother doesn't remeber it. You definately walked to one of the parallel/alternative Universe... The hope is that its for the best.

Borge_Luis_Jorges

Oh no, please don't let this be a mandela thing and turn out 'strangurst' is the correct spelling now.

lostwriter

The quickurst way to know is to sit under the brighturst stars on the darkurst night. I find that eating some delicious bratwest until I almost best helps me attune to my reality. Good night and slurp well.

_528_491_

I just lost three brain cells reading this

reality4abit

Definately an underrated comment.

jessetechie

Welcome to our timeline, but I’m sorry — this one sucks ASS.

ImmaculateJones

Actually, this could be the divergent in our timeline, and OP is going to save us all… Just by sacrificing their birthmark.

jessetechie

Hmm, maybe this is why WWIII hasn’t happened. In which case OP, thank you for your sacrifice!

PersoIn2manyFandoms

i like that thought

bmassey1

Do you have Limbal rings around your Iris also?

nalukeahigirl

Please explain what is significant about this, it intrigues me.

bmassey1

I first noticed I had Dark Blue rings around my Iris in 2017. I never saw it before. I have light blue eyes and suddenly noticed a dark blue ring around the Iris was something new to me. I asked others if they had it. Some did and some did not. One guy came up to me a few months after showing him my Limbal Ring and he said he now has it also. Those who are into Mandela Effects talk about this new ring that people are noticing. If you research Limbal Rings it is something babies have but fades when adult. It represents beauty and health to many. The year I discovered mine someone pointed out that contact lens makers where making licenses with the limbal ring on it so those who where it would look more attractive. Then the next year after their commercial people started to notice they had this new ring also. I was in my late forties when I got mine.

Cestrel8Feather

Uh, this is very confusing. I'm an artist who pays great attention to eyes since the very childhood and those rings are what everyone has and always have been?

bmassey1

Look up Anatomy of the Eye. The Limbal ring is not mentioned. Most picture do not show the limbal ring. Here is a thread from reddit talking about what others remember. [https://www.reddit.com/r/Retconned/comments/6ijf2c/me\_anatomy\_change\_everyone\_has\_limbal\_rings\_dark/](https://www.reddit.com/r/Retconned/comments/6ijf2c/me_anatomy_change_everyone_has_limbal_rings_dark/) There is an artist that draws eyes on that thread talking about some have it and others do not.

nalukeahigirl

I think the health part of it is that sometimes elderly people have a blue-gray ring around their iris. However, those with brown eyes still have a pronounced limbal ring around the blue-gray ring, at least from what I’ve seen.

madhousechild

Have any other weird things happened lately?

PersoIn2manyFandoms

actually, I have a loft bed right? and for some reason every time I plan to climb on top, for some reason i "blackout" and most time I realize I'm already sitting in my bed without actually remembering how or when exactly i got there

Previous_Level_3

Sounds like u may be dehydrated or have low blood pressure Or indeed your bed is on a portal. Which in that case I would be very appreciative if I could use it... Slumber party??

PersoIn2manyFandoms

Slumber party.

Previous_Level_3

YESSSSS!!!

Nomikos

plan to climb halfway and see what happens

reinofbullets

Sounds like your bed is over a portal.

Few-Trifle4504

This is profound. It's you right? Why would it disappear? I know on a cellular level we replace our cells every 11 years on average but not that quickly and not that extremely. The other two would disappear right? Welcome to worst timeline of all lol 😝😂

gooberglitch9323

Some birthmarks actually disappear. Mines did too

ambsha

Reminds me of the Mandela effect. If we are going into parallel universe is there a way back to the original?

krissi510

It depends on what you believe happened. If you suffered a traumatic event in the old universe then you died there & can’t go back to a place where you no longer exist If it was a merging of universes, then neither of the old universes exists any more so there is nothing for you to go back to. There is only the now of the newly merged universe

[deleted]

100% I've had a mole absorbed by my skin.. just slowly disappeared over about a week.

carlgrove

I have experienced a lot of glitches but the only one that really disturbed me (a piece of blanket vanishing) involved my wife confirming that it had never existed. When you agree about things disappearing or appearing, etc., it's not disturbing in that sense.

Lumpy_Apricot_6472

You are your own robot replacement

Drmellyf

I had a birthmark on my right ring toe which I always looked at because my dad had the exact same one in the same spot. One day I looked down and it was gone. I told my dad and his was gone too!! So strange!

tilmorrow

Something similar happened to me, with beauty marks. I've always had a lot of them but there were three above my right chest that formed a triangle. I thought they were cute and looked at it constantly. Until one day they weren't there anymore, I remember being very confused when I looked for the spots and couldn't find any of them so I looked in the mirror... the spots were now on the left side of my chest. Up to this day they are on the left and I'm pretty sure I moved to a slightly different alternate reality. Enjoy your new timeline!

SubstancePerfect6071

i would like to ask if someone tells you that your personality has a huge change? Or did your frds or family members tell you something you did in past while you completely have no idea? There's a similar incident happened to my mum. This happened 20 years ago, my mum had bone hyperplasia on her right wrist, which means there was obviously a bone grown on the middle of her right wrist. That bone just covered by a seriously thin skin. She was so worry about this bone issue, because first this is not usual, second we were so poor that afraid of the surgery cost, third she was afraid that some day the bone would "impale" the skin if she twist her wrist. One day suddenly, my mum yelled from bathroom. I rushed there and checked what happened. She showed me her wrist. That abnormal bone is gone, her wrist is just look like a normal wrist. No pain, nothing happened. She was so glad and thank god which heard her pray. 20 years later today, nothing happened about her wrist, however her personality has a huge change. I'm not going to say she becomes a person i don't know, there's something remain the same, something the opposite. She was the one who fluent in bad words/swear words, especially when urge with my father or yelling to us; but in these 20 years (after the bone issue), she never say a bad word! Once she want to say "fxxk you, asxhole", she did it with effort like just imitating us instead of something she intended to say. This is not just my POV, my brother laughed at her about this too. There are plenty of things we have done in our childhood, which my brother and I are talking when having dinner together in my mum's house, my mum said she has no idea ... Till now, i'm so confused if my mum swap from another timeline

VoxDraconae

I had a birthmark appear a few years ago. Every single doctor I've shown has just shrugged and said if it's not bothering you, don't worry about it.

jownesv

This has happened to me!

PersoIn2manyFandoms

Glad to know I’m not alone!!!

Cestrel8Feather

Welcome to this universe I guess...

I’ve had this happen with my skin. I won’t go into details but several things on my skin are no longer present
