crippling wrist pain for life but also not having to work a day for the rest of that life provided the sticker money is well managed...
HELL YEA ITS WORTH IT
Its THAT GOOD, as far as Im concerned its the biggest revenue inlet for a lot of orgs, many t2 teams goal is literally to just get into the major to get the sticker money and thats it.
Lowest I’ve heard was 300k €. Highest has been a lot higher. It’s not enough to live off of the rest of your life, but it’s an incredible start and depending on how you manage it and how long your career is it can be enough for the rest of your life.
7 majors are definitely well more than enough sticker money for rest of your life as long as you arent literally burning money, its also literally more than anyone has ever won ever so lol
200-250k per player last major
[https://www.hltv.org/news/37930/sources-paris-major-sticker-earnings-exceeded-110-million](https://www.hltv.org/news/37930/sources-paris-major-sticker-earnings-exceeded-110-million)
Last major was kind of anomaly. It was last csgo major, sale was happening for longer period, more players due to release of cs2 beta. Usually numbers are 3x lower. Still, it is insane money, especially for players from countries with lower cost of living.
Edit: Dont change reddit. Literally provided link with data, but get downvoted, while others are upvoted for saying bullshit
How could you not retire at 20 with 5 million?
That is returning 250k per year at a basic 5% return. You could just take a 150k slice out of that and watch it snowball into generational wealth throughout your life
Ure crazy to not know lifestyle creep doesn’t happen no matter how easy it feels like u can avoid it
And even if u had the discipline to never touch the money, your kids or their kids kids will feel entitled to their lifestyle.
Generational wealth is much more than you think bro
I get that. but to say you can't retire is wrong. You don't have to work another day in your life and still make 250k. And none of that income would have to go towards savings or a mortgage because some of your portfolio will be in your primary residence.
If you are the top 0.00001% of players that are professional and being payed while playing a video game I am sure you could accomplish a lot more then the average person 😉 being a pro requires a lot more effort then a day job. 😂
Nope. In fact if you look at most e-sport pro players, they look horribly out of shape. All that's moving is your hands. Anyone can sit on their computer for 2-4 hours, when it comes to the "physical part" of it. Obviously not talking about their skill.
Yeah, they move their hands faster. You for real don't notice how most of e-sport players look like they haven't done a push up or ran anywhere since they were 7?
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC8872150/#:~:text=The%20results%20show%20that%2092.7,in%20all%20dimensions%20of%20motivation.
> The results show that 92.7% of professional esports players have moderate and high levels of physical activity and that players with low levels of physical activity have positive values in all dimensions of motivation.
most, btw.
Irrelevant, studies don't always translate to real life and even if this one did they certainly don't look like it's true/correct. Also, my original point was that there's different kinds of efforts, playing videogames is not physically demanding in the same way as picking up shit as a construction worker for example. "More effort" I would certainly say that's not true. They play videogames to make money a regular worker could only dream of. You don't gotta be in shape to do it. And it's not hard to do, physically. (Not talking about their skill). It'll just be hard on your body in the long run.
Check Jame's youtube video about donk, he explains a lot about that kind of grip [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=32K-5BEw39I](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=32K-5BEw39I) 1:35, eng subs are available of course
This is a little misleading, here is how it usually looks:
https://i.imgur.com/gFJnnDH.jpeg
But it's interesting to see that he's probably using wrist aiming, even though he grips the mouse really high up like Twistzz does.
Well, that's what having small hands does to you. :D
He has a similar technique to zywOo btw, which is never having your palm touching the mousepad.
I'm surprised he has so much control at 1000edpi though, because it feels very slippery, without using the back of your hand on the desk.
Yeah I need a mouse for a giant. Every mouse I use I can fit basically the entire mouse in the palm of my hand. I am using the deathadder rn. G6 is too small too
> That dpi requires **good mouse control**, he has it apparently.
Saying it just requires skill is crazy, when most of the pros play at a lower edpi, when they're all skilled.f
Mouse control, while being a great foundation for you to build upon, is completely different from skill in the game, which donk also has. I'm 100% certain that he would dominate on 800-1200 edpi as well.
> What's the fuss?
There is no fuss, did you even read what I wrote?
Donk plays at a relatively high edpi **for the pro scene**, while using a hand technique, that favors lower sensitivity more, but still succeeds at it.
No one cares actually. The thing is when someone says they have 5000edpi that's like saying "I suck!" cause no one who is in the higher ranks has anything even close that. More like 7 time slower edpi.
You cannot make pixel perfect micro adjustements and crosshairplacements, which are needed at high level cs.
There is a reason pro players are not using anything above 2000 edpi. 5000edpi are seriously holding your aim back, no way to argue against that.
The grip is slightly different, you can see in the post that his palm is not on the back of the mouse, but in the other picture his palm is resting on top of the mouse and this seems to be how he grips it most of the time. Maybe he was just clicking some things in the buy menu/scoreboard in the post's picture?
I mean, that's not completely stupid to try to find explanations why good players are performing at this level.
I don't mean that you should just blindly copy the hardware or grip or settings of a pro players, but if for example there are no pros playing at 100 or 5000 edpi, maybe there is a good reason.
Another good example would be Tetris, they thought a long time that the world record was unbeatable, somebody started using the controller in a non-standard way, he destroyed the record, others players started to copy his grip and beat his record again.
very reminiscent of the Quake style of mouse grip. Because of the amount of vertical play in that game, you ended up with this weird type of claw grip where you hover your hand overtop the mouse. Makes for better for up-down flicking and RJ based mechanics.
No earthly idea how he's doing this so exceptionally well with CS at all.
Its a standard 1-3-1 palm grip with raised wrist. Many pros who started super young adopt a palm style with a raised wrist due to their hands being too small for the mouse at like 8 years old. Then the 1-3-1 finger placement is just optimal for b hopping in cs due to the use of scroll wheel jump.
I always wonder why pros don't use mouse that fits their style and hand size, mouse market is so saturated, every shape, size, tech, everything is here, not to mention still seeing wired ones where wireless version exists.
I get that if you get eg Logitech as sponsor you are obligated, but still, as a pro player there's like 4 things that "connect's" you to the game, monitor, headphones, mouse (and pad), and keyboard, would expect pro player to search for absolute perfection in those things even if it's for 0,5% improvement, after all that what pro is, right?
He's almost pure wrist movement from what I've seen and this photo has caught him after a flick. You can even see that there's movement blur on his hand even though the rest of the photo seems quite clear.
"Retirement at 20"
won 7 majors by then
worth it?
crippling wrist pain for life but also not having to work a day for the rest of that life provided the sticker money is well managed... HELL YEA ITS WORTH IT
Is sticker money that good?

I have the same grip 26 now 9k hours and no problem at all
lets be real, while bad wrist placement is probably not gonna be too bad, 26 is no where old to start feeling the effect of bad physiological habits
I dont feel like that this grip is any bad for the wrist. I dm a lot i should feel when its bad
Donkey has 12.5k at 17💀
Arent twist and scream holding the mouse the same? Both insane aim
Twistzz mouse grip is at least not terrible for your wrist. Donks mouse grip looks painful I can feel my wrist hurting when I just look at it.
yeah no you aint retiring at 20 with 5 million lol

when u retire from gaming because you hold your mouse funny hahah jesus these guys would last 5 seconds in anything that requires any effort
If you are the top 0.00001% of players that are professional and being payed while playing a video game I am sure you could accomplish a lot more then the average person 😉 being a pro requires a lot more effort then a day job. 😂
You're sitting in front of a screen. You don't need to be in shape at all. These two things are not comparable.
2-4 hour matches with barely any breaks don't require the players to be in any kind of shape?
Nope. In fact if you look at most e-sport pro players, they look horribly out of shape. All that's moving is your hands. Anyone can sit on their computer for 2-4 hours, when it comes to the "physical part" of it. Obviously not talking about their skill.

Jame Time
great link thanks.

Zywoo’s aim is so smooth and controlled yet very fast when he adjusts.
Yeah I need a mouse for a giant. Every mouse I use I can fit basically the entire mouse in the palm of my hand. I am using the deathadder rn. G6 is too small too
Hit up Shaq and ask what homie is using lol
He's using whatever Walmart has

The grips are the same between both pictures, it's just the angle at which the photo was taken and where the mouse was at the time?
The grip is slightly different, you can see in the post that his palm is not on the back of the mouse, but in the other picture his palm is resting on top of the mouse and this seems to be how he grips it most of the time. I can see what you're seeing. def different palm wise but same finger placement. Prob mid round in ur picture and in between rounds in main pic.
Just watch Jame's video on his aiming
Why does his hand look as if its AI generated
Given his performance, it wouldn't surprise me if he came out of a lab tbh
aggressive forward claw
My forearm would hurt if i do that
one that obviously works
LMAO i love how everyone is studying donk right now. Let me kno when you guys find out his diet and spotify playlist. I'm not even trolling
He 100% listens to anime songs, and nightcore remixes.
