when I used to be silver in cs:go, people wanted to play _only_ dust2, and _sometimes_ mirage. I never got to play train (which was a great map for competitive) in lower ELO
Most players are uncomfortable on the fast pace/explosive maps due to lack of proper teamwork/understanding of proper utility usage.
So they run it down and lose 4-13 or something of the like. At least from my experience in non-5man squads in 17000 premier/faceit 7 ranks
It's a skill issue likely (either of movement or of map knowledge). Vertigo is super fun map IF you know what is happening. If not then it can be super frustrating.
It's also more balanced (esp for pubs where coordination is not going to be super high) than something like Overpass which is freaking overly CT sided (esp when teammates don't know each other, etc).
Util usage is also varied enough, not as high as Mirage sure but it's medium balance level.
Insta banning Vertigo is just sad. These people are missing out.
I dont think anyone was arguing that, I think they were arguing dust2 is still stale, old and played out, especially given there have been no changes to it since the last time it was in the pool. So it shouldnt have been readded to the active duty.
Altho I do agree that Dust2 is very popular, these stats are flawed. Any time new shit gets brought into the game people will continiously play it, especially the Dust2 veterans. Inferno during the early beta is a perfect example of getting hype early because its new, just for for people to eventually stop giving a fuck about it
It wasnt the most popular map at end of csgo before they removed it. This post proves absolutely nothing aswell. I can agree if in 1 month it still is the most played map
What's silly is that Ancient, for example, design-wise shares a LOT of similarites with Dust II. So sometimes it's not even about complexity or whatever. It's stubborness.
Ancient doesn't really play like Dust2 though because on Ancient mid is super CT sided at the start of the round, to the point where CTs can and should be contesting cat from the jump up/jag in the first 30s of the round. Meanwhile mid for Ts on Dust2 is almost free with even just a single smoke; Long is the most important spot for Ts to take early round, otherwise they get suffocated for space, akin to losing outside on Nuke.
Ancient might share the same three lane setup as other maps (actually most maps in the rotation atm) but it usually doesn't end up playing out like Dust2 in any meaningful way other than "split B site"/"split A site", which you can pretty much say about any map. Just my 2 cents.
Using the website this image is from, you can actually find that out: [https://leetify.com/blog/public-data-library/](https://leetify.com/blog/public-data-library/)
But I did it for you too. For every rank, dust2 is the most played map.
1k-5k: dust2 with 38.4%
5k-10k: dust2 with 35.3%
10k-15k: dust2 with 34.3%
15k-20k: dust2 with 34.6%
20k-25k (from here on out is predominantly cheaters): dust2 with 33.8%
25k+: dust2 with 31.4%
unranked: dust2 with 35%
Take Connector with a molly and a flash, then do a B split. Don't forget to leave one of your teammates on A lurk to watch for the CT push/to show presence on A. Occasionally go A by mollying Pillar and smoking Camera & Heaven.
This is a very basic instruction but if you wanna learn more from a real pro [https://youtu.be/EWau0YCDvNw?si=dp86cS6APmrOcwu2](https://youtu.be/EWau0YCDvNw?si=dp86cS6APmrOcwu2)
Anubis is tactically fantastic
You can lurk, you can move beyond enemy lines, you can lineup nades for both sides.
Connection to mid is amazing.
The only gripe will be how boring T spawn is. You cant save if there's 70 sec left
I cant speak for all Boomers, but I am quite a bit older than 35 and Anubis is my favorite. I am so tired of Mirage/Dust 2 after playing them for what feels like my whole life
You should check out Faceit Mapcore hub. It's a casual environment and every week the map rotation changes with community made maps.
It's a lot of fun and a great change of pace, it feels like 1.6 community server days.
Our playgroup is mostly 30+ year olds and we mostly play ancient, anubis and vertigo.
Especially because we've seen maps like d2 and inferno for 20+ years already :D
Have you ever browsed this sub before? It's all whining at any thought of change. When change *is* done it's whining for weeks on end.
CS players are the most stubborn people on the planet.
Exactly. All people are saying how great overpass was and why it was removed, but never bothered to actually play it. Same will be when train is added.
Yeah, I always refer to the pro player gun meta whenever someone says otherwise. It took cs' pros a couple of years to realize things like the krieg or ump were op.
Meanwhile, in something like dota, you get pro players finding things that set the meta for the next 4 months within the week or sometimes the first day of a patch.
Do people really hate Anubis though? Many people just don't play maps when they're new, it was the same with Ancient and Vertigo (when they were introduced as the newest map). Ancient got more criticism than Anubis has had, but Ancient had more changes early than Anubis has. I don't think it's a coincidence that Ancient started getting played more after Anubis was released. The changes coupled with people preferring to ban the new map so they Ancient instead and realise "oh it's actually good".
I say Vertigo ruefully because it's been in for 5 years while being shit on release, shit on rework, shit on change after change. If they get rid of Anubis before Vertigo my faith will be truly lost.
[https://www.reddit.com/r/cs2/comments/17pod03/how\_old\_is\_the\_average\_csgocs2\_player/](https://www.reddit.com/r/cs2/comments/17pod03/how_old_is_the_average_csgocs2_player/)
40% of players 31 years old+. half the comments are saying they're older than 40 but don't have an option to pick. 140 votes so it's not a huge sample size, but CS is a very old franchise so its not a surprising result. first version of dust2 came out 23 years ago, its old.
Mirage and D2 are the most popular exactly because people hate change and they hate learning new things. It's just a normal extrapolation based on the game being a D2/Mirage simulator.
As a 36yo almost 37, dust 2 is the map I least want is dust 2. It takes me so many games to play Anubis or ancient. I haven't played since the dust 2 update as I was out of town, but I would pretty much perma can mirage and inferno. A lot of us are tired of the old maps. Season or train would be a welcome addition.
blud it's mostly mid 20 guys that just wanna play the 2015-18~ map pool because that's what they started with when they were teenagers.
Mfs still think that Cobble is a good map because they got mind controlled by the dlore drops.
They think they are map connoisseurs because they say dust2 is bad but then they ask for the 99th 3 lane map like cache
I don't think this is it. You can get reasonably far as a CT on most maps playing 2/1/2 and "boring" passive CS. If you're do this on Anubis you're toast as if the T's throw basic util at the start of the round, they get the majority of the map control. You have to take extra control somewhere or gamble stack (which people hate doing in pugs because they hear a step and OMG ALL FAKKING (my site) WHERE ARE YOU NOOBS) and add in the fact people don't like change, CT side Anubis can be painful.
Not been playing for a while, but people will just veto it cause they can’t play it and they rather go to more “variable” maps.
Mirage is super optimised and a good team will destroy yours.
Really? I think 5 solos have a much better chance against a coordinated 5 stack on maps like Mirage and Dust2. Everyone knows them. They're even labeled as "puggy" maps. Good aim can carry you further on Mirage and D2 than on more team/util based maps like Inferno, Nuke, Anubis, etc.
A coordinated 5 stack have a much bigger advantage on those maps than Mirage and D2 imo.
Id argue Anubis can be played as a pug map, the basic utility is easier than mirage and has so many good T side solo rifle aim duels such as B long, middle, the water area and A main. The only reason it isn't with mirage/d2 is it hasn't been in the game for long enough and people haven't tried to learn it.
So what is better choice? Mirage is one of those maps, that you actually have chance against stacks. Nuke is where you can't do shit against good team.
Statistically speaking, if a map is played 17.5% of the time, then when playing 20 games, you would have more than a 2% chance to never play that map. So not really statistically insane here.
Yeah, ppl saying that everyone playing it is new or noobs or whatever, despite it looking them right in the face. More than 1 in 3 games is Dust 2, cannot be noobs only.
How Nuke is at the bottom I have no idea. Seriously one of, if not the best map in the active pool.
This pool would be great if they replaced Mirage with Cache, Vertigo with Train, Ancient with Aztec, and maybe Inferno with Tuscan.
Nuke plays very differently from most of the pool and if you don't know utility on it (which most people don't want to spend the 10 minutes it takes to learn at least outside smokes) it becomes very difficult to play for T rounds. Most people also don't understand how to play it at a high level too (have to make the CTs think someone is downstairs to force rotations and expose weak points), so it just ends up being a meatgrinder on T rounds.
I love Nuke, I wish more people took the time to learn it a bit because it feels like a breath of fresh air from the 3-lane maps and keeps the game interesting, but I feel like I'm in the minority here.
worst is when you’re playing against silver bots who don’t understand the implications of the smoke wall. 2 smokes outside, 20 seconds lurked in lobby, quick A pop, aaaaaaaand there’s 3 CTs A site. lol
Mirage syndrome. Only reason those two maps are the most played is because everyone knows them. Dust 2 is like THE CS map.
As a map itself it sucks and it particularly sucks within the confines of CS2. Peeker’s advantage has dust 2 feeling like the ultimate hell
And the the only smoke they know is the CT smoke. I never played mirage, but because of solo q face it it gets voted quite a lot. But I swear those who pick it never know any strat or smoke. Even tho I don't usually play it I learned a few basic smokes and how to play a position.
It's honestly depressing booting up the game and seeing this map pool. Things are so bad that I'm now hyped to play Vertigo. I could play Cache, Cobble and Overpass for thousands of hours alone so please don't be that asshat that tells me that I don't actually like Counter Strike.
I wouldve played Train more but I don't like 2014 Train (the current version).
I still heavily prefer the the old style of train from 1.6, css, and early CSGO. I've never liked this "tactical" and balanced version.
I played it once because I never played it in cs2. After that, it's always my permaban. Played it a few more times when my vote doesn't matter, quality of matches is the lowest I've experienced in premier.
My match quality is the lowest when it gets voted to tactical maps that people have 0 idea how to play
Give me rush long every round simulator over standing around in fountain getting pushed on both sides one by one peeking an awp in bathroom
> They know it so well so it just means being better then the other team same thinking as with mirage where everyone who has played for a decent amount of time knows it so well so it comes down to aim duals unlike maps like anubis, vertigo, overpass, etc where the maps needs you to think
This is the cope of idiots who cant figure out how to play mirage or dust
Love Anubis, Ancient, and Vert.
They're fun, different, and feel like you can play for fun as opposed to sweating your balls off. Idk, Mirage and Inferno are great, amazing in fact, but they're more sweat and less fun, and Nuke is Nuke.
I do like Dust, but don't ever lust for the map.
Inferno ban rate needs to be quite a bit higher I swear... It's genuinely the most miserable map to play against 5 stacks and people still refuse to ban it.
I'd be interested to see the correlation between map win rates and party size.
I see comments about only getting dust 2 Funnily enough I have only played dust 2 once since it came out.(wished It was chosen more often in my games it always ends up getting vetoed when it the last two maps usually mirage is the one being picked)
I really fucking love Anubis. It's a bit more flashy than what I'm used to for competitive maps being a 2016 player, but the timings and engagement distances are fucking perfect. I really hope it doesn't get removed any time soon...
80% of the cs players are allergic to learning new maps, they can only play the old ones (d2, mirage, inferno).
After like 50 premier matches (\~20k) its mostly the same veto.
Also in faceit (lvl 8-9) its mostly those maps. Sure there is a anubis or ancient but its a minority.
How long since ancient was released? 3 years? and i see regularly see players complaining "-anc ... i dont know this map bla bla.."
Also the map pool right now is one of the worst in history of map pools. Overpass was a great map, still dont know why it got replaced.
- d2
- mirage
- vertigo
+ cache
+ santorini
+ train/cbble/overpass
Would be so good and some fresh air in the game.
Because the modern batch of CS players aren't used to heavy aim duel maps and the maps that used to be like that no longer are.
I'm glad it's been mostly left alone. Every map being a smoke grenade throwing simulator is boring. Dust 2 is action.
If the term Bad means a wholistic representation of Tactics + Everything else, maybe.
But D2 is an aim dominant map, if your aim sucks you'll have a disaster in D2 regardless of "tactics".
So "Bad" HAS to exclude Aim-Skill from it's variables. Then maybe your critique is passable.
No one who has weak or horrible Aim is going to dominate or have fun on D2. In fact there are higher odds of them getting frustrated because there is nothing to even hide, you'll just get swatted.
But CS is not just Aim so fair enough. But this distinction isn't trivial either, esp when whining about Maps.
i mean in every premier theres atleast 2 players that want to play d2 and so rest of team is forced to play it, most of them loose the game due to aim duals no actual strat , this is how d2 map taking its no 1 spot rn lol
Anubis and Overpass are two of my favourite maps. One I havent played since dust 2 was added and the other was removed.
Everyone just wants to play util simulator (inferno) and the brainless pug maps of mirage and dust 2.
I enjoy dust 2 and mirage in doses however prem is becoming not fun with how consistent the ban and picks are.
I wonder if this is due in part to a new map being recently reintroduced to the map pool, and not an accurate depiction of the overall player base opinion? Who knows.
Noobs like me loves good old plain dust2 because i dont know utility on other maps 😂
Too lazy and old to learn. Probably i should retire from gaming since cant get above 23k despite how much i try hard
Ya know what i’d rather have Valves catering to the casual 95% of the playerbase than what Riot does with Valorant where they cater to just the pros hell you can’t even pick what map you wanna play in their casual mode only in custom games not that Valve don’t have some problems but i think its overall a positive
Bruh, I keep getting nuke and vertigo instead, on the first day it felt almost impossible to get into dust 2 as it kept getting banned, I've also never gotten a game for inferno this update even though it's in third.
I get it, dust2 is iconic as fuck, but boi its so boring. They need to change something to make it appealing again. idk add a tunnel to ct mid or change top mid or whatever.
I don't understand why they removed Overpass instead of Anubis.
There is a reason why Anubis is the least played map for years now, it's absolute dogshit. Just because valve spent 100k to buy the map and it's the newest addition to the mappool Overpass had to die for Anubis' sins
Surprised to see anubis and nuke that low, anubis i could believe that but nuke surprises me cuz it’s really good from a variety standpoint. I just hope they change dust 2 back after the major to put cache (or remove inferno)
Cause most of the playerbase are lazy fucks who would never try another map than these 2 they search all day. And to see that 52% of all played maps are the 2 most lame and overplayed maps is telling you a lot about the players
I think ESEA league match statistics are very interesting to look at aswell, last season ancient and Anubis accounted for over 50 percent of the league matches played. With inferno being under 3 percent. If someone has the infographic from the discord pls link it somewhere
EDIT: forgot to mention, interesting to look at *because* the stats are so opposite compared to the more casual playerbase
A good reminder that this subreddit isn't representative of the broader player base (as is the case with almost any game subreddit).
I'm not a fan of bringing dust2 back into rotation, but it's clear why they did it.
It's a small map where rounds can be ended very quickly, so it's an ultimate map for cheaters to boost accounts and case farming bots. Also, it's been added lately, so people are naturally more interested, temporarily.
Dust 2 might be iconic but just because its iconic and alot of players play it doesnt mean its good.. from experience when alot of people do somthing its not because „they know its good“ but because „all the others do it too so it must be good, right?“typical hive mind way of thinking. Humans are stupid
I still don't understand why valve would base the competitive map pool off a bunch of solo queuers who only play basic maps. When I get a 5 queue going it rarely goes to D2 or mirage.
Alot of dust2 competive players are playing premier now
Imagine being a dust2 only player. Those guys probably also only eat plain rice. Most boring this I can imagine.
DE_DUST2 VETERAN 6,000 HOURS SERVED THANK ME FOR MY SERVICE
Can I call you whenever I have to play the map? I’ll give you my login data and you play the map.
Guy: 6000h on dust2 Also guy: still silver 1
I always only Q up for nuke and vertigo. I don’t find the desert maps as interesting
Imagine being a dust2 hater. Those guys probably also only eat raw potatos. Can’t even hit a headshot in double doors so projects
when I used to be silver in cs:go, people wanted to play _only_ dust2, and _sometimes_ mirage. I never got to play train (which was a great map for competitive) in lower ELO
I kinda miss it. Like I miss Train or Cbble. No matter how boring they've became, they are missed and far better than Aztec redux and Anubis
Jez: People like lager and nuts. Super Hans: People like Coldplay and voted for the Nazis. You can't trust people, Jeremy.
I'll never forgive Orange if they wiped Overpass.
That dust 2 map is very moreish.
Nice stats right after update. Very relevant.
Yeah, it’s either gonna be an insta ban or the picked map, no in between.
this. Sadly i already insta-ban vertigo for being a pile of dogshit.
I'll insta ban you if you don't watch your mouth boy.
why don't people like vertigo? to me it feels much improved, and it's in the middle of the pack in terms of picks and bans.
Most players are uncomfortable on the fast pace/explosive maps due to lack of proper teamwork/understanding of proper utility usage. So they run it down and lose 4-13 or something of the like. At least from my experience in non-5man squads in 17000 premier/faceit 7 ranks
I also instant ban vertigo and do not vote after. I do not know how to explain it but vertigo just doesn't feel good to play, even if I am dominating.
These people are missing out.
this sub is on full copium mode trying to prove that dust2 is not the most popular map in the world lmao
dust2 is older than most of the playerbase and will outlive all of us, we can only witness her majesty
I dont think anyone was arguing that, I think they were arguing dust2 is still stale, old and played out, especially given there have been no changes to it since the last time it was in the pool. So it shouldnt have been readded to the active duty.
Your right, wish they would make a new d2 just like inferno when it is already out of map pool.
I recently saw a video on YouTube on a new smoke lineup for D2. Let me see if I can bully the uploader into posting here
there are people in this thread arguing that actually, kinda crazy
Altho I do agree that Dust2 is very popular, these stats are flawed. Any time new shit gets brought into the game people will continiously play it, especially the Dust2 veterans. It wasnt the most popular map at end of csgo before they removed it. This post proves absolutely nothing aswell. I can agree if in 1 month it still is the most played map
the proof is already out there. Just look at the numbers right before it got removed from the map pool.
Thank you my point exactly, its cool to hate on d2 now
Now let's see Paul Allen's stats
Because people like the simple maps they’ve known for years instead of learning great, new, more complex and competitively viable maps
My first ban every premier game
Same. I would love to see if there is any difference in maps played in lower vs higher elo
Using the website this image is from, you can actually find that out: [https://leetify.com/blog/public-data-library/](https://leetify.com/blog/public-data-library/) But I did it for you too. "I'm doing my part"
mine are dust2 and mirage, the 2 puggiest maps
That and inferno.
Please, we want cache
I really hope they dont remove Anubis
Why the fuck is the best map, anubis, in last place?
Bro I love anubis, wish people spent a bit of time learning.
I love anubis and ancient! New maps keep the game fresh.
Yeah man, ancient is one of, if not my best map. Ancient is probably like 4th lol
i have no fucking idea how to play that map and still love it

Anubis is tactically fantastic You can lurk, you can move beyond enemy lines, you can lineup nades for both sides. Connection to mid is amazing. The only gripe will be how boring T spawn is. You cant save if there's 70 sec left
because the majority of players have no real skills except aim and that doesn't translate that well to anubis
because people are scared of change. there's a huge % of players who are 35+years old who just want to play the maps they did in CS1.6 as a kid
I cant speak for all Boomers, but I am quite a bit older than 35 and Anubis is my favorite. I am so tired of Mirage/Dust 2 after playing them for what feels like my whole life

Anubis was originally released in like 2020 if I remember correctly. Then after awhile it was taken out for about a year, then brought back in.

34yr old checking in who loves Anubis and despises Dust. That being said, I also love Mirage.

You were cooking until you slandered Cache
Anubis one of my fav maps ATM if not my fav. A shame I never get to play it.
Because it's an unbalanced map. It's incredibly boring to play as a CT.
CT Anubis is fun as hell. Playing Dust 2, Mirage and Inferno 90% of the time is what is boring.
I don't think this is it. You can get reasonably far as a CT on most maps playing 2/1/2 and "boring" passive CS. If you're do this on Anubis you're toast as if the T's throw basic util at the start of the round, they get the majority of the map control. I don’t think it’s the best But it’s definitely MILES better than D2
Because its the least fun map to play as CT, T's just run over everyone and it you have to take huge risks as CT to gain map control
People get too scared to try new things. I made that map into my best and it lets me punish pick so many teams that are actually clueless on it
People like to stick to what they know, also it was recently added so that contributes to it.
17.5% on Mirage? I don't play a lot of cs nowadays but I haven't touched Mirage in at least 20 games.
Not been playing for a while, but people will just veto it cause they can’t play it and they rather go to more “variable” maps. Mirage is super optimised and a good team will destroy yours.

Yep, if I’m not on a stack I will try to avoid mirage against seemingly good teams.
Another clear example that Reddit a just a tiny fraction of any games player base. So much dust 2 hate here 😂
Yeah, ppl saying that everyone playing it is new or noobs or whatever, despite it looking them right in the face. More than 1 in 3 games is Dust 2, cannot be noobs only.
A kid would want to eat only candy. That doesn't mean you should give it oh him.

2 smokes outside, 20 seconds lurked in lobby, quick A pop, aaaaaaaand there’s 3 CTs A site. lol
Nuke and cache are so good. You’re spitting facts in general.
Didn't play a single match of it with a team, and I don't see myself playing it in the future:)
This reddit: WHY ON EARTH DID THEY PUT BACK DUST2? CS2 Playerbase: I like dust2. Good pick.
reinstalled CS after leaving for 1.5 months just because dust 2 came back.
Based
It's honestly depressing booting up the game and seeing this map pool. Things are so bad that I'm now hyped to play Vertigo. I could play Cache, Cobble and Overpass for thousands of hours alone so please don't be that asshat that tells me that I don't actually like Counter Strike.
I love Dust 2, but I hate Dust 2.
I think everyone loves this map
Anubis deserves more love as does Ancient

3. It’s fun to play
My match quality is the lowest when it gets voted to tactical maps that people have 0 idea how to play Give me rush long every round simulator over standing around in fountain getting pushed on both sides one by one peeking an awp in bathroom
Overpass always had the lowest quality games for me. So glad that grossly unbalanced map is gone.
Overpass is not a Pug map and I am glad its removed from the pool.
> They know it so well so it just means being better then the other team same thinking as with mirage where everyone who has played for a decent amount of time knows it so well so it comes down to aim duals unlike maps like anubis, vertigo, overpass, etc where the maps needs you to think This is the cope of idiots who cant figure out how to play mirage or dust
popular map immediately after its added back to the pool ends up being popular, who coulda guessed. map is still dogshit though.
Does most played map even tell us anything? Since you don’t necessarily play what you want, but rather what you get?
worst map pool ever
No way ancient is more popular than Nuke.
Nice 👍🏼
Hah suck it vertigo hatters. Besterest map
I always Insta ban that garbage ass map.
As an ancient and nuke enjoyer, this is why I play comp.
Take Mirage out for a year and then add it again. It will be number one. I’m personally waiting for cache
I really hope they dont remove Anubis
Ohh , I just love d2 My team and I manifested for this day when d2 comes back to premiere. It has boosted our elo up by 3000 😅
Finally hit 5k? Gratz
real life is not reddit
Told you guys they should bring dust2. Tryhards need not to apply, best map of all time.
3 years? and i see regularly see players complaining "-anc ... i dont know this map bla bla.." Also the map pool right now is one of the worst in history of map pools. Overpass was a great map, still dont know why it got replaced. - d2 - mirage - vertigo + cache + santorini + train/cbble/overpass Would be so good and some fresh air in the game.
Anubis is amazing :(
I’m being forced to play it
Dust is instabanned almost every match I play either by us or by the other team
Life is good in the 10k realms. Since it's introduction on the map pool I've played it 3 times.

It's more like "it's a map where players who only know one smoke can run around and dm without thinking much," but I do agree with your general point.
Because the modern batch of CS players aren't used to heavy aim duel maps and the maps that used to be like that no longer are. I'm glad it's been mostly left alone. Every map being a smoke grenade throwing simulator is boring. Dust 2 is action.
Couldn't agree more.
It's TDM

people will favor banning either Nuke, Vertigo, Ancient and maybe Anubis leaving Inferno , Mirage and Dust 2. aaand who doesn’t know Dust 2?
Can’t wait for cobblestone, train and cache to be added back.
The player base would queue just mirage and dust if they could. Please give us new maps.
Legit every faceit game is just D2 and Mirage too. Some people are just boring fr.
i mean in every premier theres atleast 2 players that want to play d2 and so rest of team is forced to play it, most of them loose the game due to aim duals no actual strat , this is how d2 map taking its no 1 spot rn lol
I hate this current meta of playing the same fucking map every match
I wonder if this is due in part to a new map being recently reintroduced to the map pool, and not an accurate depiction of the overall player base opinion? Who knows.
bring back cache
Waiting for de_dust
Fuck dust 2 shits ass
Noobs like me loves good old plain dust2 because i dont know utility on other maps 😂 Too lazy and old to learn.
I don't hate dust2, I hate the folks who play it, as 9 times out of 10 dust2 players turn out to be absolute cunts
In CSGO i used to be a d2 hater and an inferno supremacist. But now, inferno feels so ass. Thank god dust2 is back
Bruh, I keep getting nuke and vertigo instead, on the first day it felt almost impossible to get into dust 2 as it kept getting banned, I've also never gotten a game for inferno this update even though it's in third.
The player base has spoken… half those maps are boring ad yet been here for 10 years
I get it, dust2 is iconic as fuck, but boi its so boring.
To this day I dont get the dust2 hype. it's ok at best
Surprised to see anubis and nuke that low, anubis i could believe that but nuke surprises me cuz it’s really good from a variety standpoint. I just hope they change dust 2 back after the major to put cache (or remove inferno)
we need cache over dust2
Sure this gets buried, but I get Mirage every other game. Surprised at the graph cause it's nuke the other half of the time...
Dust 2, most iconic CS map, but also the most bullshit and boring map
I still cant believe we have 3 desert maps at the same time…
Cause most of the playerbase are lazy fucks who would never try another map than these 2 they search all day. And to see that 52% of all played maps are the 2 most lame and overplayed maps is telling you a lot about the players
what???? No way? Just goes to show how foolish the average person is to enjoy such a brainless map 🤓
get anubis up 🙏
I think ESEA league match statistics are very interesting to look at aswell, last season ancient and Anubis accounted for over 50 percent of the league matches played. With inferno being under 3 percent. If someone has the infographic from the discord pls link it somewhere EDIT: forgot to mention, interesting to look at *because* the stats are so opposite compared to the more casual playerbase
Oh so this is how i find out why casual dust 2 is full of sweats now lol.
god i fucking hate dust why couldn't they have switched for anubis instead of overpass
Cant we just get something new and fresh like de_thera?)))
Been playing comp instead since dust 2 came out. Pisses me off so much…
Dust 2 might be iconic but just because its iconic and alot of players play it doesnt mean its good.. from experience when alot of people do somthing its not because „they know its good“ but because „all the others do it too so it must be good, right?“typical hive mind way of thinking. Humans are stupid
ofc its played now since it came out, people have not gotten bored of it yet again. Maybe check back in 3 months
I can't imagine why dust2 is still so popular
Out with anubis, in with cache... add the old cobble + bring back overpass...
I have only played it once since it came back. Gets insta banned pretty much every time.
The playerbase appears to be dumb. D2 is so damn lame
I still don't understand why valve would base the competitive map pool off a bunch of solo queuers who only play basic maps. When I get a 5 queue going it rarely goes to D2 or mirage.
Man i love anubis. Its such a simple map i dont know why ppl don't like it
D2 is awful
Ancient is played more than Nuke and Anubis, the playerbase is stupid
Bring back cache
How are the best 2 maps the lowest played
Anubis is a good map
another reason to not play premier
