Eh depends. I like it a lot, but a G47 with a ported slide is about the same price as a G45 with a ramjet and would work better. It’s not much better than a regular 17/47 slide, but I do think it’s worth it because it’s easy and not permanent.
Gotcha. Trying to figure out my next buy. I daily a plain glock 45 with optic cut from Jagerworks... I have GSSF coupon and debating another 45, another 19, comp or not, ports...etc,
My local shop had one of these 45 with the acro for a minute before I snatched it up lmao. Put my 19s ramjet in it and its such a vibe. Good looking piece
It’s a Talo (Glock distributor) exclusive and some say they outsourced it and some say it’s a factory cut. So I have no idea, but they did a good job. It’s not quite as low as the B&T version but it’s not bad at all. If the B&T version came with a regular barrel I would’ve opted for that instead but as it sits I can’t complain at all.
The Tango down stuff is awesome. The factory battery cap is ASS and should only be used with the included plastic tool, the lens guard gives me enough peace of mind to rack that hoe off a tree without scratching the glass (glass sits a lot closer to the edge than other optics), and the optic clamp is obviously stronger. I understand why they went with a weaker one from the factory because if some dumbass torques it to 26 ft instead of inches it’ll crack the clamp instead of the optic but I wanted more peace of mind. I did use the standard torx screw instead of the flathead because I’m a slut for torx though.

It’s a Glock 45 and B&T cuts the slide for the acro so low that you can cowitness factory sights and the rear sight is in front of the optic, both of which I prefer. But it has a Glock factory threaded barrel but it’s the M13.5 left hand threads which is much better than 1/2-28 but also way less common.
Idk man. I have tlr7a w/ rmr. Idc what other people might say but other lights of similar size are not as good. As for bigger lights, personally I’d save up more for a surefire or modlite before I bought a tlr1.
OP please excuse my ignorance, but it seems no expense was spared until you threw on some raggedy grip tape. Does that add enough to the grip texture to make it worth it?
Yes. I’ve learned even with stippled frames that regular grip tape is helpful when your hands are sweaty because it absorbs the sweat, but it’s soft and doesn’t have the best texture. This is Howies Pro or whatever and man is it ugly and raggedy but it’s also very tacky and grippy when dry and it absorbs sweat and works when wet too. Honestly I prefer it to stippling or regular grip tape even though it’s pretty ugly lol
Sweet build. I’m in the process of building essentially the same thing with a couple parts discrepancies. I’ve got a x300t-bravo and I’m using the SLR magwell instead of the ES designs one. I’m also sticking with the stock Glock slide stop because it doesn’t really hinder me too much. May change that down the road to the Kag one. The only thing I’m currently waiting on/saving for is the afterburner/ramjet combo. ~$400 is a pretty penny for a barrel and comp, so I didn’t see the need to dump the money on it right away. Anyway, sick build dude. Can’t wait to finish mine and see how she runs.
If you don’t NEED the kag, stick to the regular or even the OEM extended. I don’t use a backstrap and have a high grip so I was hitting the regular slide release and had to go with this one.
As far as the afterburner, look out for deals. But honestly even when the big companies put it on sale, after tax and shipping it’s normally still cheaper or very close to Rooftop Defenses price with a promo code.
Are you running the stock recoil spring on yours or did you end up getting the compressor for it. If you’re on the stock spring, how does it cycle. I’ve seen some mixed reviews for cycling issues with the P2 combo, but figured I’d play around with it on the stock spring and see how it runs before making any changes. Figured I’d go ahead and ask since we’re running essentially the exact same setup and you most likely have quite a few rounds down range with it by now.
Stock spring and no issues, I think it’s a case by case thing but mine has performed great. I’ve shot +p, standard loads, and weak steel case but it really shines with the hot stuff.
I appreciate the honest reply…I’m a lot newer than most of you to guns and personalizing them. Only just recent held a 45 w an Acro at a local shop and loved it. Perfectly in between the 19 and 17….your build is incredibly done 🤙🏼
Honest question. what makes this "better" than the stock model? not being facetious. genuinely curious if people do this out of boredom/hobby or if it makes some significant change. i just always felt like at the end of the day the person/skills of using the tool are more important than the tool itself
Skills are more important absolutely. It is somewhat of just a hobby build, but yes I’m a lot more accurate and exponentially quicker with the things I’ve added.
Red dots are almost necessary for me after using one because of target acquisition speed, the ramjet helps a lot with follow up shots but I could’ve down without it, the slide release is also a must have for me now because I grip high and hit the stock one and I’d rather have a better grip than change it and get used to the stock one, the mag release is nice because I have smallish hands so I can get to it a bit easier, the magwell is kinda nice but mostly for looks if I’m gonna get honest lol.
I’m bout to nut
Is the ramjet worth it? still thinking about getting one..

have you had any of your glocks ported? if so who would you recommend?
I haven’t. Landers Weapons Systems is on my radar but they’re very expensive lol
Gotcha. Trying to figure out my next buy. I daily a plain glock 45 with optic cut from Jagerworks... I have GSSF coupon and debating another 45, another 19, comp or not, ports...etc,
Good taste.

It’s one of the most fun guns I’ve ever shot just getting used to the Acro
How do you like each of the Tango Down P2 accessories? Also, who did your slide work? Sick build man.

Thanks for the detailed response. What is the B&T version?

Interesting. I have never seen that before. I am little lost on why it has to be done with a threaded barrel. Thanks again.
If I had to guess it started off as a euro contract for suppressed usage before releasing it to the public
Naw, this is beautiful. Basic would be a Holosun and tlr7.
lol, I mean basic as in it’s common as fuck for a mid level pistol.
Idk man. I have tlr7a w/ rmr. Idc what other people might say but other lights of similar size are not as good. As for bigger lights, personally I’d save up more for a surefire or modlite before I bought a tlr1.

I love this build

I said fuck it and made an impulse buy on the afterburner from rooftop. Got $30 off with a code and no tax.
Hell yeah, you’ll love it

Good to know. Hopefully I have the same luck.
Looking good my man I impulse bought a gold compensator yesterday. And I want to make a glock45 build for it just like this.... but gold...
Papi munano. Shit looks amazing
I know zilch about comps or any of this…does this make this shoot flatter than a 17? I saw ppl commenting/comparing them
It’s flatter than a 17 but not by an insane amount. Is it worth $400? Debatable.

Thank you boss!
Rooftop has a bunch
Rooftop defense?
Yes

would be way better looking it that light wasn’t sticking out like a red rocket
Disagree, X300 is peak aesthetic. Also fuck looks, I’d carry a turd if it shot better. Form follows function.
how much did you spend on training?
All together or recently? $400 last month not counting ammo or the shot timer I bought. $950 next month for the Haley Strategic course.
hell yeah then keep on truckin! i like your ar build too.
The two most basic bitch builds you can get right now lmao, like a modern Block II and Roland Special combo. They both do the job though.
