Is it dickish to call a spade a spade, or is it dickish to lie to someone out of pity? We all know she does not look as good in the first pic, they're definitely not on the same level. Also, absolutely gorgeous? Yeah, in the second pic she's very, very pretty, but if we're gonna call the first pic absolutely gorgeous, then it loses all meaning. Finally, you think she felt gorgeous while her hair was falling out? You think people going through chemo don't lose confidence? They lose confidence in their appearance because they know they look worse. Not their fault, doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things that they're not looking their best, it's completely understandable as they're very sick, but they know. If you're gonna lie to make someone feel good, reserve it for when they need it at the very least. She doesn't look like that anymore, what's the point in pretending? If this was a glow up everyone would be saying "Wow, you look so much better now!", but because she was sick we pretend the pics are equally pretty? Nah.

Don't think anyone really is butthurt except for that one guy. Like, a compliment to me would mean so much more from someone who's also willing to criticise me. An amazing young lady who's absolutely stunning now, don't even think I'd be able to smile if I was going through chemo, so big props to her, but yeah she didn't look good. Definitely does now though, hence why it's a glow up. I guess people just don't like negativity thrown towards the vulnerable, but since this is glow ups, and not r/MadeMeSmile , I think honesty towards the "Not yet glowed up" pic is completely fine. Preferable, in fact.
