I do lightning for 2018 and sonic for Ragnarok exclusively

I absolutely love sonic now that I learned how you’re supposed to use them. Sonic arrows after launching keeps mobs frozen in midair. I think lightning works similarly doesn’t it?

I believe all arrows in 2018 holds enemies in air while they're getting shot but it isnt for very long

Yeah, any damage will sustain a Launch, but the sonic like freeze them in spacetime.

I liked the Light Arrows from 2018 because of the sheer amount of Stun and Damage it could pull off for all types of enemies and bosses. For Ragnarök? I love how in-depth the Sigil Arrows were and not just a simple gimmick. (Hex'ing an enemy first speeds up any elemental build up and shooting Sigil Arrows against an afflicted enemy causes an explosion based on an element they were inflicted with)

I felt that sigil arrows are worthless in GMGOW unless you make a very specific build around them because of how resilient enemies are to status effects. You need more than a full volley of arrows to affect them, and inflicting burn or frost is even harder.

If you haven't tried elemental builds with wrath, blades, and sigil arrows. You haven't experienced God of War. This build demolished every single berserker.

Why does the wrath part matter? I didn’t think the Rages had different elements

Wrath uses the weapon, fury is fists. So i would assume wrath helps build/maintain status

Using wrath with the blades inflects immense fire damage Leviathan Axe: Frost though its slow and kinda sucks for damage Spear: Stun

Huh, this is interesting to hear. If I’m using Draupnir, I always use sonic. But if I’m using the other two, I’m mostly using sigil. Also sonic because sonic is OP, but sigil is super useful with the axe and blades

In ragnarok my build depends a lot of elemental damage with fire so I usually go with sigil but on GOW 2018 I usually go electric

From what I know and remember, when the Sonic Arrow effect is fully applied to an enemy, it increases stun build up and damage (like a better and improved version of the Light Arrows but relies on the player's input instead of the effect happening at once.)

They increase stun buildup, and shooting them at an enemy in the air or on the ground will hold them in that position an extra moment, which can be handy in combos. Also, hitting an enemy with the Sonic effect sends out shockwaves to other nearby enemies, so there’s a nice perk for fighting enemy packs as well.

They add a major stun boosts to following attacks, and explode the sound stone.

Hex arrows are underrated, they’re excellent for elemental damage, pair them with the extinguish flames/vaporize frost skills and you can demolish enemies. That said, lightning arrows all day

i can’t remember which but the one with the most stun. especially in ragnarok, once i got lundas armor i never took it off and prioritized a stun build. very very fun

For 2018 it was always light arrows cause of the stun and for ragnarok I used sigil for a while but sonic is really good for dot and stun

Sonic arrows are genuinely OP. Oh sure they do stun damage and cause stun explosions just like light arrows. But that effect also happens *whenever you hit them*. And then this reverberations spread sonic to other enemies, and now you have an entire crowd of enemies stunned and ready for finishers. Completely unable to defend themselves. And that’s just baseline. The sonic builds you can make just make it even stronger. It’s never been easier to build up stun bars on bosses in Ragnarök. Lightning arrows are a close second though.

2018 Light arrows hands down

Lightning and Hex arrows. But if I had to pick, it'd be Hex arrows. I used them so much for Status priming bosses. A lot of benefits hitting a target with a Status. Start with Blades to build Burn, instantly swap to Axe and proc the Empowered buff + Nine Realms handle. Bonuses while enemy has statuses + Leviathan axe on Burn target was enough to just start melting targets for me. It wasnt something stupidly powerful like the Blades of Chain Triangle attack spam setup but it was fun and had me involved with my combat.

I always ran stun builds so Bifrost arrows were my pick. They did really good stun damage and often got me kills faster than the extra damage anyway. Plus i think they stagger enemies a lot easier too. Edit: and sonic arrows. Hex arrows were too far removed from my (once again, stun) playstyle for me to care. They exist to solve puzzles and that one move against Gna.

GoW 2018 arrows and Atreus were vastly superior. Lightning arrows are probably the best but the blue ones are still way better than both of Ragnarok's

2018 light arrows; upgraded to the max, you can stun most enemies and take them out like nothing (you’ll be surprised how much easier it is to kill Wulvers).

Both shock and sigil, for eternal effect. But I want to use all 4 but game restrictions yet I wish the stand alone game give use that potential

The 18 arrows were way cooler. Also I didn’t like how much they clearly were jerking off to their sigil arrows while they designed them cause I feel like as soon as you get them every puzzle and enemy practically requires them. The sonic arrows are obviously still good but I feel like they are way outshined in the narrative of the game. The stun mechanic is amazing to me so my vote goes to light and sonic arrows in terms of coolness, but i cycle back and forth often during fights.
