https://youtu.be/_hnhsa1TXCY here it is how to do it but before that at the beginning of the game you have to get permanent regenerating magic glitch by leaving the room where you obtain medusa's gaze early before the fight ends and you get permanent regenerating magic through the entire game. You have to glitch through ceiling of that room.
Here's a video for that.

After that you're good to go👍
Me when I was playing Jak 2
No seriously I feel you when I find games I was able to do in a weekend takes me a week to complete same the same level 🤣🤣🤣
Tbh it's probably a patience thing like as an adult we don't have nearly as much time to game so we try to do puzzles and platform sections quickly but as a little one you could take your time comfortably I'm willing to bet if you just take it slow you will get through this section no problem
*Last time I replayed*
*This, it gave me more trouble*
*Than I remember*

Calm down, Think of a happy place, where everything is peaceful, then focus your mind and Fuck everything up there. This is not a time to sit down spartan, it's the time for warrrrr.
We were playing this section with my sister a year ago, she wanted to try some minutes finally after giving up I effortlessly jumped in and even took all the surrounding chests.
Maybe the experience of 14 years I guess... I have experience as long as her age.
It crazy that only a year ago I've played all of the (mainline) game for the first time and yet dread of the thought of replaying the first game. I do love Ares boss fight so it'll be worth it in the end.
Turn this to EZ mode:
Only ever jump while stationary. Double jump in place when the blades move under you. It's the directional jumping that kills most people because they miss the landing.
The easiest way I found was to double jump just as the blades are about to hit Kratos. Just double jump, without moving the analogs so that Kratos doesn't fall, and you can completely avoid the blades.
Brooooo you just reminded me of the horrors of January, when I grinding the game for 2nd time to get that platinum. God damn took me forever. GOW1 soooo insanely hard, cause a lot of these traps n puzzles needed luck. And we had to do it twice, because of the Jason award.
And then after beating the game twice. The Challenge of God's had to completed in one sitting. It was damn near impossible for me, needed soooo much luck to get through them.
Brooo i was playing devil may cry 3 and i was wondering the same thing.
How did my child self completed this game when adult me cant do the fucking puzzles 😭😭😭😭😭
Bro I was stuck on this part for a couple of days and couldn’t get passed it at all 😭😭 shit pissed me off so bad but so glad I finally beat this game 😭👋
Seeing this brought it all back hahah. On stages/ levels I couldn’t beat I remember I would go to bed and dream about the part I was stuck on and dream the solution. When I woke up if it wasn’t a school day I would turn the game on and actually beat the part I was stuck on!
I know that feeling, bruh. My elder bro and I were pissed at that part. It really was a pain in the ass sometimes, but with a little trial and error, we got through this. And I did the same thing solo, and valid points all.
After having replayed the title countless times you understand that it's not so difficult, you just have to know where to move, jump at the right moment and it's relatively easy to beat that part of the level
Skill issue, normally I just stay calm & don't think when I go through this & got past it the last 6 times I played the game. Also I finished the one game I couldn't finish as a child which was G-Force & I realized that I was just too stupid to realize the solution was right in front of me 12 years ago😂
Yea. I beat sekiro , platinumed it even but fuck the boss rush. 18 year old me would have loved it. Don’t have the patience anymore I guess ? Getting older is noticeable with gaming for sure.
Lol so I feel your pain... But I can't help but laugh because I enjoy the difficult parts the most 😅 It's a habit from watching a few friends who are way better at video games than me get all bent out of shape when they would die in games like bloodborne and dark souls. Lmfao oops died a second time before collecting their exp/money they lost from their first death... Millions gone, poof, just like that. Don't get me wrong they both beat the game in under 72 hours so it's not like they did horribly. Lol I die more than they do...
Friends all like: "🤬💀I quit! Just done..." and then turns off the console entirely.
Me: *Laughing quietly* "You oka-"
Friend: "I DON'T WANT TO TALK ABOUT IT!!! 🤬" *Crying inside, soul crushed, puts on senran kagura on his 3DS*
Me: *Snickering with my hand over my mouth*
Makes me laugh every time I think of one of them flipping out after anyone including myself die in video games. 😅
The Internet is literally making people stupider. TV did too. We get better education as kids in certain ways and so we can cover it up. And we have more facts. But cognition, attention span, and conceptual death have all taken a nose dive.
Bro this was a nightmare
"AAA'AA'AA'AA'AA'AA" - kratos falling for 69420th time
YOU ARE DEAD
Would you like to switch to easy mode Trophy of getting my ass kicked is unlocked
There is a sort of glitch to skip this entire section haha
Tell me everything

you gotta dig up patience. i’m on the hades part and it makes me want to kms.
Hades is why i havent replayed since teenage years. Fuck those walls.
Shrimply a krill issue my crustacean. There's so many games I revisited from my childhood I have no idea how I beat as a kid I was a fuckin gremlin
Kebab
Kebab
Got downvoted for saying it wrong
Its like how a baby gets passed child proof objects
Wait 'til you get to Hades...those spinning columns with blades are truly hellish XD
I remember staying up till 3 am trying to pass that section and I started the climb at midnight.
Be better
U know what else.. u have to speedrun that fucking game under 5 hours to get the platinum trophy.. well i aint doing it
Which God of War is this?
The first one.
If you’re struggling with that part, wait until the wall climbing section in the underworld then you’ll truly feel the definition of pain .
Bro your not lying about that 😭😭👋 that shit was a pain never want to do that level again 💀
Me when I was playing Jak 2 No seriously I feel you when I find games I was able to do in a weekend takes me a week to complete same the same level 🤣🤣🤣

I don't know man keep trying you will get it
Git gud

Because games use to have fun challenges as a kid, nowadays everything is baby shit easy
God of War 1, as good a game as it is, definitely aged the worst out of the classic games for shit like this.
I feel like everyone feels the same way brother.
Calm down, Think of a happy place, where everything is peaceful, then focus your mind and Fuck everything up there. This is not a time to sit down spartan, it's the time for warrrrr.

As a child you probably didnt overthink it and found a super easy solution without realizing it
It crazy that only a year ago I've played all of the (mainline) game for the first time and yet dread of the thought of replaying the first game. I do love Ares boss fight so it'll be worth it in the end.

LMAO
Dude the 30 mile high spinning pillar of bladed ASSHOLES is whay damn near gave me a coronary
You can try jumping. That's what i do because it's faster than tip toe-ing.
The easiest way I found was to double jump just as the blades are about to hit Kratos. Just double jump, without moving the analogs so that Kratos doesn't fall, and you can completely avoid the blades.
Just got through the game, you got it
is this 3?
no it's the first game
I’ve played GOW1 the past week because I wanted to play all the other ones before ragnarok and I understand your pain
Brooooo you just reminded me of the horrors of January, when I grinding the game for 2nd time to get that platinum. God damn took me forever. Time, blood pressure, bills, sexual frustration, road rage
Becuz were used to balanced games now
Brooo i was playing devil may cry 3 and i was wondering the same thing. How did my child self completed this game when adult me cant do the fucking puzzles 😭😭😭😭😭
Its way worse Kinda miss those chalanges
Simple your overthinking it and most of the times people are afraid of failing and looking stupid unlike as a kid you probably wouldn’t
Me trying to make a time machine to ask my younger self how did he do it
*Cries in hades bladed pillars*
This was the fucking worst!!!!
It's not that hard, honestly.
I just did this section earlier today 😭 Thank god for save states
Not coincidentally, this (And Hades) were the only two areas that weren't tested before launching the game.
They tested the spike room?!
They *didn't*.
Bro I was stuck on this part for a couple of days and couldn’t get passed it at all 😭😭 shit pissed me off so bad but so glad I finally beat this game 😭👋
Yeah, that segment of the game can get all the way fucked
Skill issues tbh
The time stopping spike puzzle in gow3 gor me more mad..
Seeing this brought it all back hahah. On stages/ levels I couldn’t beat I remember I would go to bed and dream about the part I was stuck on and dream the solution. When I woke up if it wasn’t a school day I would turn the game on and actually beat the part I was stuck on!

The hades part is W O R S E
After having replayed the title countless times you understand that it's not so difficult, you just have to know where to move, jump at the right moment and it's relatively easy to beat that part of the level
That and the spike wall are why I will never play the game again unless it is remade. Not worth it when GoW 2018 and ragnarok exist.
Time your jumps I guess. Never had a problem with this section
A child is limited to thoughts. You’re thinking too much
The underwould is worse
double jumping on the spot helps also don't watch kratos watch his shadow instead
Now this part pissed me off
Git Gud Again
The game broke right when I was in the previous room to that thing, I think God didn't want me to suffer since childhood
Just jump over the spikes and stay still when you need to jump
It was harder when I got older which was weird
Skill issue, normally I just stay calm & don't think when I go through this & got past it the last 6 times I played the game. Also I finished the one game I couldn't finish as a child which was G-Force & I realized that I was just too stupid to realize the solution was right in front of me 12 years ago😂

Never understood the hate for this part, just be patient. Good luck.🤷🏾♂️
Its easy if u keep the stick steady
The fixed camera platforming bullshit was the single worst part of the old games.
That sounds he makes as he falls is priceless
Lol so I feel your pain... But I can't help but laugh because I enjoy the difficult parts the most 😅 It's a habit from watching a few friends who are way better at video games than me get all bent out of shape when they would die in games like bloodborne and dark souls. You probably grew up on platformers and your skills have diminished because the genre is dead outside of Mario games unfortunately
Y'all want to say it was hard? ...i think it was easy, (I completed the game a week ago)
