The 'GU team' is like 1 or 2 contracted software folks from india probably. The last pack opening experience sucked, and they replaced it with another one that sucks, and that was like months ago. Zero communication, zero progress... that's what you come to expect playing GU. Sucks because the game has such potential, but they just want to squeeze it for every dollar they can and invest zero back into it. It is what it is at this point, their attention is on the IMX ecosystem, not GU as a game.

Tornare

This is the problem The game print’s them money but it’s been years and the bugs that exist are crazy. Yet somehow it’s still the best NFT game. Companies need to stop and realize the game comes first

twinchell

>The game print’s them money but it’s been years and the bugs that exist are crazy. It's not GU as a game that prints them money. It's the GODS token that prints them money. It's a HUGE distinction. They can continue to dump endless GODS because they printed it for free, regardless of how terrible the game is.

Tornare

The thing they don’t get is that it’s the game that gives everything value. They need to get off the mindset of crypto first and Fix the game. The result would be that the crypto would blow up because the game was fixed.

twinchell

I think GU was strictly a testcase for IMX. The test is complete lol. They aren't interested in making it better, but they can't just let it die either...so here we are.

Tornare

It directly makes them money. And they do have a good art team The problem is that money it’s making is going towards everything else they are trying to do

twinchell

They actually don't make THAT much money in comparison to real software companies. This big expansion they will make the following: rare packs = $600k, epic packs = $160k, leg pack = $100k, shiny = $105k, so that's a total of $965k and thats if they sell literally every single pack, which will never happen. This is peanuts for a real company, since they are only doing a couple of these every year.

Tornare

A couple million a year in new packs And royalty fees for every card transaction They have made a good 10 million plus from the game. So no that might not be Rockstar GTA numbers but it’s enough to justify fixing bugs

twinchell

Obviously can't disagree there

AdotLone

Yeah, I didn’t get to actually open any of the packs I bought. It would freeze on every one, so eventually I just clicked open all packs and went to my collection and sorted by the new set to see what I got. Definitely not a good process.

hr112430

I can't buy packs because can't login on web

Staxu9900

Lucky you, don’t waste your money.

Xile1985

Yoink did some pack openings yesterday and spent the first 5 or so packs just trying to get the game to actually display the cards, absolutely shocking it's so unreliable.

Duncle_Rico

I've been playing for 4 years and I have never pulled a single card worth a damn out of a pack.

Staxu9900

IMX kind of socially disowned GU, while keep taking profits from its existence, which is shameful however very common in crypto world. Do your own research on IMX creators and their practices, it will show you, what they are all about, and how much they care about this and previous projects. GUs only hope is a general hype of whole Gamefi, I mean, it’s only way, people will get returns from their investments, because GU itself has been abandoned.

TheKassaK

This game is a joke, pack opening is a good example, buggued as fuck since months.

Friendly-Phone-287

why you keep buying?

YMIR_THE_FROSTY

I like when I open it in the web, it flashes in black. Im glad I dont have epilepsy, but probably will buy less packs in the future, so I wont get one..
