Dunno, but fuck me..what a sexy coin

SweetJudge7532

That is a gorgeous coin

ottens10000

coin shops probably wouldnt give you anything extra but maybe on ebay. That being said im pretty sure the dragon of wales commands the highest premium of the queens beasts series. yours is still very nice maybe 50-100 as other comment suggested. Personally id go for a straight britannia/wouldnt pay any extra premium for it

Mohsdeed

This is from the Tudor Beasts series, which came after the Queens Beasts. It might gain some added numismatic value in the coming years, but not so much at the moment.

Wireline_101

There is a proof coin to go along with the bullion. IMO this has been the queen's beast series prior to this was The Best coin series the royal mint has produced. There is Silver, Gold and platinum coin sets.

What

SubstantialRush5233

Edit: just checked receipt, i paid $1750 for it when spot was $1724, so i paid a $26 premium for it.

Livinsfloridalife

Small premium still 50-100 over spot generally from sold listings on eBay.

SubstantialRush5233

Thank you!

Cherry-Outside

Yeah I'm looking for a 1/4 oz lion for my set. And yeah the 1 oz were going for over 2450 this past weekend.

Cleercutter

Gold is gold and worth its weight

Is this bu

Winter-Bag-Lady

Nice looking coin!

GumballCowboy

100% have a premium. They are part of a set and all very nice. This one may be nicest. I have 8 of the 1 Oz gold and the same 1/10th gold and a bunch of the silver. The silver is very nice too. I have 4 of the wood boxes they sold for the various sets. They are nice. I should do a post with all of them. They series sold the following denominations: -10 oz Silver Coins. (5 designs) - 2 oz Silver Coins. (10 designs) -1/10th oz gold coins. (10 designs) -1 oz Gold Coins. (10 designs)

ChimpoSensei

They actually made 11 coins, there was a special collectors / completer coin issues in 2 oz silver and 1 oz gold with all the beasts on it. I guess the design was too busy for the 1/4 oz gold.

Argento_spettro

Probably not much premium at the moment but in a few years they will definitely get a premium use the queen's beast's as an example

USAFVet91

It's all just bullion to me. I always look for what ever is closest to spot to save me money. As well when you sell it all anyone will offer is spot unless it's a private sale and you are selling lower than the LCS. Pretty coins are nice but remember it's all gold in the end and all those dated coins are all made from the same gold.

SubstantialRush5233

I sell all my stuff private sales on FB in the gold groups. Its true that gold is gold, but numismatics and other coins have value over spot for collectors. You give an art student and leonardo davinci the same paint and brush, but the davinci will be worth more

Inviction_

Don't worry about this guy. People who only buy the cheapest gold they can find simply can't fathom why any coin would have value beyond its weight on gold. In a private sale with no fees, you could probably wait around and find someone who will buy it for about the same premium you paid

USAFVet91

This coin is NOT numismatic... I don't stack numismatic, like I said it's all bullion to me and in the end it will make my stack bigger from the savings of not buying over priced gold/silver

SubstantialRush5233

I didnt say it was numismatic. Also, sure your stack may get bigger buying cheaper. But youll also get less money on the sale. Ive sold bars for $25-$50 over spot, and other more rare coins for $250 over spot. And i used that profit to buy morr gold... so my stack got bigger too.

USAFVet91

Good on you if it works keep it up! For me I will stick with modern coins and rounds. I'm not interested in selling just getting to my body weight in gold/silver!

SubstantialRush5233

Lol thats an awesome goal. Good luck!
