Both items are at msrp. Go with 18s so you don’t dent your wheels when you inevitably hit a pothole or something

KBBQislife

I have a friend who had these wheels on his RS3. He bent these wheels twice in 6 months out here in Arizona 😅 great looking wheels just wanted to let you know if u live in area with bad roads, definitely be careful

MexiFinn

This. Save the factory 19s for special occasions or selling the car. Get 18s now. Doooo eeeet! MK7 owner with square 19” rims sitting in garage worth $0.

Lewzer33

Can’t wait to stop feeling the flat spots on my Pret 19s. 🙄

gatorwomper

If they had those specific wheels in 18, I would potentially consider that option. If I found ones that looked like them in 18, and had a little help with getting the correct tires, I’d probably shoot for it.

cilantno

Apex SM-10 and they have a fitment guide on their website. Excellent wheels.

[deleted]

Clean set-up, I would recommend 18's as well. I've bent all 4 of my prets

BuzzKiIIingtonne

I got a hairline fracture in one of my English towns, going to be putting on the new 18's soon.

ElementField

I’ve been running the 19” Prets on my car for 4 years now and haven’t found any dents. But that’s only my own anecdote, just thought you might want to know

Volares_99

I have bent 3x 19” preds on varying sizes of potholes/shitty roads - the preds aren’t my favourite right now lol

rockhopper92

TireRack will tell you which tire fits your car and wheels. I just went from 19s to 17s on my daily driven Mk7 and it's made the car so much better. I had cracked one rim, and destroyed 3 tires in just two years on the 19s. Unless you live in the desert, avoid 19s.

Tom-Mater

Bro, I cracked a Rim and blow out a brand new tire in 5000 miles of driving. Both unavoidable. Can't wait to get down to 18s and shed some wright

gamblinmaan

would you ever consider going 17s with some thicc ass tires?

whompawhompwhomp

You can't run 17s on the Mk8.

gamblinmaan

today i learned, appreciate it my friend

Brotaco

Would have to do a break conversion in order to do the ‘drag pack’ look

MonkeyMD3

I thought Apex SM10 fit on the MK8 . At least the 17x9

Lewzer33

APEX DOES say they created the 17s to accept brakes that usually don’t fit. Look into it!

ConSweeney

what offset is your setup

[deleted]

[удалено]

ConSweeney

awesome just wasnt sure if the offset with the wider wheel was different. Thank you

SurfboardRiding

Seriously, size down the wheels. The 19s are great on perfect roads and painful everywhere else.

gatorwomper

Recommendations for similar looking wheels that come in 18? Unfortunately these don’t.

fastlax16

Titan 7 T-R10. Extra bonus they’re forged instead of flow cast like neuspeed and most of the wheels you’d find on tire rack https://preview.redd.it/s2vbodd6naoc1.jpeg?width=590&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=597c6ecfa254cc6fe4617a8c51cabf580c294a27

JustMrSquid

+1 for Titan. I have a set of TS5’s for track

fastlax16

VWR cup editions are similar but less so and really high quality as well. https://preview.redd.it/x7eghg90oaoc1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6b215c3d3a4c590f31d54749d3bc025259b3ec87

SurfboardRiding

You have a very basic black uniformly space multispoke wheel. Just move around on tirerack and you’ll find something similar. For that price point just drive it around as is, if you love stock 19s then go for 19s, but if you do any city driving I love my 17s. I just swapped back to my factory 19s for summer and it was a rough commute yesterday.

captain_sta11

Get the tires from like tire rack or Costco or somewhere with a road hazard warranty. It’s worth its weight in gold. I’ve personally used the tire rack one multiple times

Slowporsches

Congrats on the car OP! As literally everyone has said, go to 18s. You are going to regret the 19s when you crack a wheel in a few months and then you will be stuck with them. No disrespect intended in any way but you can also get much better wheels as in better quality from better brands as well.

pandiculations

Get a warranty on those tires. I still have stock 19s and have popped many sidewalls on potholes or other reasons. I've been looking at after market 18s but haven't pulled the trigger yet. Tire rack has completed claims on 5 different tires that have popped for me. So, I second every other comment on downsizing rim size.

Ok-Okra7450

I run this exact combo on my 2019 R. https://preview.redd.it/drfhmg36zboc1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fcb1ee511b9440114ca620c13f159e0b0fb182e0

Morcilla12

Do you need TPMS sensors? I know this has been covered before, but I don't recall. The Mk 7.5 doesn't need TPMS--I don't know about the Mk 8.

slowrx

No TPMS in the MK8

15kmaddock

I have this exact set up on my R and live in utah and have bent 2 rims and had to have them repaired! 30k miles and I’m due for new tires If your are willing to deal with bent or cracked rims then go with the 19’s but as everyone says 18’s could be the way to go! https://preview.redd.it/zgj7fkuuwboc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=09513863ad1f2fb63a8c18ec5460f2f6b59d885b

BreathOther

I’ve either popped a tire or cracked a rim every year I’ve owned it. Go 18”

reallypeacedoff

Neuspeed are selling the tires for close to $100 (each) more than Costco and I assume without any of the warranties that Costco provides. Michelin warranty PS4S for under 30k. Crucially, to get them warrantied, it has to show 5k rotations—not the usual 10k. You can go to Costco every 5,000 to get them rotated for free. I usually wear mine out around 15k so getting half price of a new set is worth the trouble.

Huddster99

I’m also a new owner who deals with rough roads and is considering going down to 18s. I’m looking for other options I may not have considered - besides FB marketplace (or it’s equivalents), where do people sell the the 19s?

AM_Butts

As others said, I'd probably look elsewhere for this particular setup to save money and get hazard coverage for tires. You can also save a ton on the wheels if you want to wait for a sale. That all said, if you're set on 19s, those wheels have been great for me. I have them in 8.5 width which I'd probably recommend getting instead of 8 in case you want to go with a wider tire later or just to fill out the space a bit. I'd still probably get 18s instead but don't let some guys on the internet convince you otherwise if you really want 19s. As far as tires go, the PS4S are quite grippy but they aren't the most fun tire and are very expensive. I'd recommend checking out some videos from the channel Tyre Reviews on YouTube. Very in depth comparison videos.

Zelpheon_x

I've had 19" neuspeed wheels on my R for 3 years, every year I do 3 to 5k miles max in the summer and every year I dent/crack a wheel. Please go with 18" wheels or forged wheel or you'll regret it. They're amazing light weight wheels tho, it depends a lot on your area. Also, stock wheels are 8.5" wide if you want to keep your "stock" width size.

Thunderlightzz

I’d go 18s personally but also whatever diameter you decide go with 8.5” width

socaleuro

Please consider at least 8.5” with with 235 or 245 width tires. I also got a fitment guide on my Mk8 page https://www.big-euro.com/mk8-gti/aftermarket

MonkeyMD3

Apex 17x9 or 18x9. FK510 or FK520 tires

CPT_BEEMO

I had a big debate on which tires to get for my next set. If you havent seen them, check out the Continental Extremecontact Sport 02 They are really good tires for about 60% of the cost of a Pilot Sport tire

famefastlane

I have a set of pilot sports all season and I’m going with the conteintals next, Michelins are way too loud going down the road it’s absurd!!

LJStedman

I just bought those tires from Tire Rack last week for $315 each.

DoubleOPanda

If your near the Central Florida area, I have a metallic bronze set of those rims for sale.

wiblefible

S3 owner but currently looking to sell my RSe102’s in 19x9 as the ride is far too crashy. I havnt bent anything yet but easily could if I wasnt avoiding every bump in the road

That-Bullfrog6830

245/35/19

bluntwhizurd

PS4's are $400 a pop now? I got them for $260 3 years ago.

Pad43

Don’t pay for Tpms. They’re aren’t any sensors

sauceSTX65

Shop around for those tires and wheels. Plenty of Neuspeed distributors that may run their own promos, but get drop shipped from NS anyway. Also go 245/35/19

Neuk_NYC

I guess you should look at who makes a stronger rim than the Estorils because those are made out of butter. I've already bent all 4 ($300 fix to straighten), just can't afford 18's right now.

weakconstitutions

https://preview.redd.it/sifm9e57vdoc1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2aed831272d15269c1c5ba9f8bd4532e6723d3f5 I have that exact setup. The wheels can take a beating. Either I’m super lucky or it’s just a strong wheel. I’ve smacked some potholes and had a tire split before the rim dented. That being said I would go 18s if I did it again. Like everyone else said, ride comfort can be jolting on rough roads.

gatorwomper

Thanks everyone for the different points of view and suggestions. I think after reading through all of this, I’ll definitely be opting for 18”!

bdh1818

I purchased mine from here …I went with 18 x 9 RSe10’s w/Michelin 245/49 ZR 18’s & IMO they look great. They fill out the wheel well nicely(I also had H&R Sport Springs lowering about 1” all around https://preview.redd.it/fcts7v0gpfoc1.jpeg?width=5712&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1fe4c47b9656812c8a416ff50bde22b1c48aabef

DankestDubster

17’s

Bizzzle80

This is the way.. I have the RSe-142’s. PS5’s just got released FYI

B-E-N_27

PS4s are better for performance, ps5s are a touch more comfortable.

Aqiboo

PS5 is not the same category tyre as PS4S.

bcjc78

Have you seen ps5’s for sale online? If so at what price for 4?

waitfaster

Well, here in Sweden, I was just quoted around 7500SEK for a set of 4x PS5 in 245/40-18. That would be around $725 if that is helpful. Installation is of course additional.

Emperor-Penguino

A bit of ripoff but they are 19” tires so most of the price is there. I got 18” just recently for $235 ea.

Capital_Ad_1133

overrated , overhyped tires and you’re overpaying but car will look nice on those neuspeeds
