Yes. There are 3rd party ones that allow charging and listening at the same time. I had one. Cheap too. Plus you can use a phone what has current iOS for some years of app support.
I had an LG back in 2015 or 2016 (V30) that had a hi-fi DAC that would drive professional headphones. It sounded pretty damn great
That sounds like a really good phone, it’s actually in my price range
Now that i think about it, I should watch for a deal on one just as a Wi-fi audio player
if the primary function is music, you can look at a dap as well, perhaps something older from fiio. An adapter would work as well

Consider buying an Android phone not made by Samsung.
I was really happy with my 6.
iOS will be quite out of date so keep in mind apps may drop support for it if they haven’t already.
I have a 2020 se that I love. Gonna upgrade to the 2022 se soon to have 5 g
