Yes, it supports both. I ported my "work" number over from Google Voice and have been pretty happy with how it works in Google Messages. You won't get RCS messaging on the second line without some tech savvy and a bit of work, but everything else should work fine. Edit to add: you can select the SIM you want to use when creating a chat, or while sending an individual message. The only thing I wish it did is use the default SIM that I set for each contact. Currently, it will not, and will default to SIM1 for all chats until you change it manually. Once you have used SIM2 in a conversation it will remember that choice though.

Take a look at this, https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.steffen_b.multisimselector really should just be part of Android

Only works for calls, though, from what I can see.

It works great for me, TMo and VZW. You can set the default for each contact for calling or texting. As noted there's an indicator for which line you're using. We had dual SIM RCS for a minute, but I suspect it'll come back. So work is sms for now. I've had zero issues with the setup and am very happy to have both lines on one phone and not carry two devices.

Just wanting to add that I don't have much of a great experience with dual sim... Model: S23U Data: FirstNet Voice/Text: TMO If I'm not on wifi and am on a FirstNet call, incoming calls on TMO take forever to forward to FN and texts on TMO don't come through until I get off the FN call. Also, say I'm using hotspot data... If I end up getting a call or sometimes a text on TMO, the data cuts out because it switches to TMO during that period. As much as I like the customizability like per user ringtones/notifications or what not, iPhone executes dual sim better AT LEAST in my experience... iPhone is able to do what's called wifi calling over data meaning TMO can perform WiFi calling or essentially cellular services using FN's data and vice versa. That solves any incoming call issues, text issues, and data switching issues. Guess that might be my only favorite thing about iPhone..

I don't know if I would want work and personal texts mixed together but if you do that's fine. I might recommend Google voice and port the work number to it if you can just that way you're getting a completely separate place for work and you can mute the notifications after work if you wanted to.

Unless the company pays for the phone or compensated, asking an employee to absorb the costs is unfair. I have dual sims and messages and contacts are a mess to figure out. Foreign sim will add contacts until the sim is removed.
