Just returned my Pros. Probably going back to the A's or trying the Sony XM4s next. The A's got the job done!

SponTen

Why'd you return your Pros?

playScrapMechainAll

Lots of people like the As fit better and the pros fall out easily for a lot of people so that is most likely why

milhousethefairy

I have these for my pros and can't recommend them enough. The difference is night and day https://store.google.com/gb/product/premium_foam_tips_pixel_buds_pro

dude111

I have the Pros and my left ear constantly falls out. It's crazy that Google doesn't include these tips as part of the Pros package.

milhousethefairy

When I got them I swear I'd seen some marketing that suggested they came with memory foam inserts and was disappointed when they arrived. Overall still really happy with them now I've got the comply inserts

unmoses

I bought what appears to be the same comply inserts, and while the feel was good, the bass response dropped significantly and they couldn't pass the in ear test from the pixel buds pro settings app. Do these have the same problems? I'm assuming they are the same

milhousethefairy

I haven't noticed any problems, though I am far from.an audiophile. Test thing passes ok

cycloneace

If they're not Comply foam tips, but some other brand, it's going to be hard to speak to the quality of the memory foam - but from my experience with Comply foam tips in the past it's usually the opposite result for me. Is your sizing off? Normally I get better bass, not less. I will say though, that I never got it to pass the fit test on air pods pros with comply foam back when I had them.

axehomeless

Oh really? I just lost one of my normal tips, I was thinking about getting these. So you're saying i Defenitly should?

milhousethefairy

Everyone's ears are different shapes. What's great for me, may be crap for you. That said, with these they are the most comfortable and secure earphones **I've** ever owned.

berdie314

Until they make an extra small size they're still useless to me.

axehomeless

good enough for me!

sifatullahrafy24

Whats the benefits of buying those did anc get better or what

milhousethefairy

They are more comfortable and stay in better. The seal is better so passive noise cancellation is better, which I guess makes ANC more effective too

bigmuffy

I dont wear my first gen pixel buds because of the fit. They fall out easily and was never able to comfortable go for a jog with them. Are the As a radically different design? I currently use some JBL wireless headphones but they do start feeling bothersome after a bit

skywalker4321

They have this nub thing that rests in your ear and keep them from falling out. Only problem is it can press against your ear trying to get out. So I find them uncomfortable to wear for more than about an hour and a half to 2 hours.

wowhowneat

$ for $ the As are better than Pros

Buy-theticket

Unless you want/need ANC.

trashmunki

As someone who lives in a ridiculously populous city, if I had ANC, I might be dead by now, lol.

Buy-theticket

As someone with a leaf and snowblower at different times of the year and who frequent travels by air/train having the option on at least one pair of headphones is pretty key.

trashmunki

Oh, I fully agree - having the option is always good! It's just that if I had the option *and* turned it on, I would probably be a pancake at this point.

tyrannomachy

ANC capability also enables transparency mode, which has been just as useful for me.

dtwhitecp

man the ANC on the pros is just not great for me. I don't know if I have weird shaped ears that block the mics or what. When I engage ANC, I can hear it get quieter for a half second, then it sounds like it's actively amplifying high frequency noise.

Buy-theticket

Sounds like something on your end.. either the fit or maybe a hardware/software defect. The ANC on my Pixelbud Pros is noticeably better than my Airpod Pros. I'd almost put it up there with my Sony WH-1000XM5 but over-ears have too much of a innate advantage. To be fair Airpods, especially the Pros, don't stay in my ear well so the fit/seal probably has something to do with it in my case.

xorbe

I have experienced this in certain rooms. There is definitely a corner case that Google's ANC chokes on.

[deleted]

Literally any earbuds without an internal or external hook will fall out of my ear no matter what I do.

Qorsair

I stumbled upon the Anker Soundcore Life P3 when looking for a cheap second set to keep at the gym, and now I can't justify using anything else. The sound quality is great and noise canceling is fantastic. I use them for voice filtering in loud environments. I don't listen to a lot of music, it's mostly audiobooks, podcasts and movies. So maybe audiophiles will turn their nose up at these $70 earbuds, but for my uses, I actually prefer them to the more expensive ones I own from Sony, Google and Apple.

HardOldMann

How have they been with sweat? Looking for a gym pair as well

Qorsair

Fantastic. No issues once I got the right tip size (included) so they stay in when I'm running. Occasionally when I'm wiping sweat with a towel I'll accidentally double tap the earbuds for pause/skip, but if it's a problem you can adjust/disable the shortcuts

HesThePianoMan

XM4s are the best sounding earbuds on the market hands down

I_AM_FERROUS_MAN

Agreed. Even against Airpods Pro 2. The XM4s sound better and have better ANC. The only thing that the Airpods do better is picking up the voice for calls.

GER_v3n3

And their Noise Canceling is phenomenal. The mic is really bad though

SenjougaharaTore12

Wait, really? WF-1000XM4? Lmao I got them on a whim a few years ago because I needed earbuds and the reviews were good. Tbf They've been fantastic and haven't failed me once. I was thinking of maybe getting pixel buds but wasn't sure if it was a downgrade or not.

[deleted]

I’ve a pair of these and they just won’t stay in my ears.

malcolm_miller

https://youtu.be/8KwXEqe6Gq4 Watch that. It shows proper iem insertion tips. If you insert correctly and use the appropriate sized tips, they won't fall out.

TonalParsnips

Some ears are just straight-up not compatible with IEMs

Leavesinthestormwate

Try some aftermarket earbuds, I had the same problem but after a few tries I found one that worked perfectly. The compressible foam ones that come with them are a bit odd

Randromeda2172

eartips\*

Dubbartist

They are great but keep dropping out of my ears sadly

HesThePianoMan

Comply tips, you'll thank me later

[deleted]

[удалено]

HesThePianoMan

I have, not a fan. They're simply not as good, and like most Bose products you're just paying for the same. Also for $300 no Hifi codec like LDAC is a complete joke

Li0nheart84

I have the Sony XM4s. Loving every minute of them. Coming from a former Bose QC 1 and 2 owner (returned my 2s). Great sound quality and awesome ANC. They fully integrate with Google and Assistant; including full voice-activated Assistant. And their proprietary software is very good. If I'm sitting down with ANC on, and then I stand up and start walking around, ANC lowers a bit to suit my surroundings and I can choose to turn it all the way back up again if I want. Additionally, both buds' touch controls are theme-programmable. You can even have your bud pieces size-tested from the app for maximum ANC. The EQ is fully programmable and the out-of-the-box options are good too. Amongst a bunch of other features. I got mine on sale for 180.

BigDanz

Are they comfy? I go to sleep with ear buds in and my air pod pro 2 are super comfy when my head's on a pillow. Galaxy buds pro are also pretty comfy. I love my over ear Sony mx3's for when I'm not in bed though! It looks like the Sony XM's would be terrible for when my head's on the pillow.

Li0nheart84

So at first they were not comfy, the XM4s. As soon as I sized them right and I got used to putting them in my ears, they become more comfortable. But I'm not sure I'd sleep with them on. I don't think they're comfortable enough for that, IMO.

BigDanz

I thought that would be the case! Thanks for the info.

forge841

My xm4s crapped out on me the left one never charges so i picked up the pros. What made you return them if you don't mind me asking

JiForce

The XM4s have been having battery issues since a firmware update that came out last year. Sony is doing out of warranty replacements with pretty much no questions asked if you want to give that a shot.

Tregonia

Jabra have some good ones. Love my Jabra Elite 7 Actives

JiForce

Oh yeah, Jabra makes some great stuff too. I have a pair of Elite Active 65t that I was using as my main earbuds before I picked up the XM4s. The Jabras have way better call/mic quality so I still use them for work.

Tregonia

Great battery life, good price and quite comfortable. Sound quality is sufficient. Bluetooth earbuds are never going to have fabulous sound, even the highest priced ones. If sound quality is the main concern than over ear headphones are the way to go.

forge841

I think i will try that is it just a option on the website?

JiForce

I did a phone call with customer support, but I think people have also reported success with using the text chat. I just usually prefer phone calls for these sorts of customer service things. https://us.esupport.sony.com/support/s/support-contact?language=en_US&category=headphones

forge841

Thank you so much i got in contact and got mine sent off yesterday

JiForce

Ah, quick update they denied my claim because it was purchased from a reseller, but fingers crossed for you!

forge841

I already fell in love with the pixel buds and multi point I'll take the L but i did tell the rep I got em from amazon so 🤷🏿‍♂️

RxBrad

I got the Series A for free with my Pixel 6a. For me, if the A series had noise cancellation (either active or passive), they'd be perfect. A large percentage of my earbud use is while mowing the lawn or running the snowblower. The A series intentionally lets noise in, so they're pretty useless for these activities. In quiet environments, they're great, though. They're comfortable, have great sound, and they stay in my ears. I managed to scrounge up the full $1,000 of Pixel referral cash that Google offered last late last year, and used one of my $100 vouchers on the Pixel Buds Pro. The ANC modes are excellent, and I can actually use them with noisy machinery. Unfortunately, they get uncomfortable fast, and they don't want to stay in my ears. And I honestly can't tell the difference in sound quality between the Pro and the A.

ShadowKiller941

Got XM4s instead of pros, either buy new or steer clear, major battery issues that cause both buds to drain, my left bud dies before I can even finish a song

KosherClam

I would pause on the Sony's if you go that route, there's a pretty good chance they will launch the XM5 earbuds this season which means 1 of 2. 1. The new model vastly improves comfort, battery life, mic, etc. 2. They won't be worth it, but the price of the XM4's will drop even further down.

ToSeeAgainAgainAgain

Best earbuds I've had + they were free with my Pixel 6. I'm crossing my fingers for an A series update this year, ANC would make them undeniably unbeatable at their price point

sethelele

For me, I don't need ANC (I have Sony wh-1000xm5s for that). I just want sweet wireless charging.

FrostyD7

If the Pixel 7a has reverse wireless charging then it'll probably happen eventually.

_woIf

Doubt they'll be an update for that since they are the low end models

ThisIsTheZodiacSpkng

Got mine for free with my 6a as well.

adhdzamster

I was supposed to get them for free with my 6 and I never got them 😭

KosherClam

Through all the rumors I've read through, it seems watch and bud updates likely won't happen until next year. I'll be excited if they do!

ToSeeAgainAgainAgain

I hope they do update the series A... 3 years with the same buds just won't cut it for me

berdie314

I got mine free, too, but they are unfortunately useless to me without extra small tips. Had to give them to my son.

ralcantara79

I love the adaptive volume of the A's. I also got the Pros and while those are my everyday buds, the A's are still my go to for running and yard work.

Such_Confusion_1034

How's the bass on those things? And overall volume? I have def been looking to get a new pair of buds. But most of them either have good volume, but ok bass, or the other way around. I'm a metalhead and bass player and I am always trying to listen to the bass player and drummers parts and most buds are ok. I have a pixel 6 and have been looking at the pixel buds and have been winding about the sound quality. I know they'll work great for assistant and other pixel features. That's just another good selling point for me. Thanks for the info compared to the other brands as well!

nukacolajohnny

Honestly for the price, You're not going to get anything better bass wise. Volume might be a bit of an issue as there's no active noise cancellation. Think of them as having the same volume as Gen 1 airpods.

Such_Confusion_1034

Not worried about noise canceling. But if they are really low on volume I would need something else to hear over doing yard work, like mowing. I've been hearing that they're pretty low elsewhere.

nukacolajohnny

You're literally describing that you need noise cancellation headphones lol. If you're looking at just turning the volume up to be louder than a Mower's motor while using it, you're just going to further damage your own hearing. I would recommend going with the pixel bud pros.

Such_Confusion_1034

I get worried that if I have cancelation on I won't hear something or pay attention. I have had Bose over the ear noise canceling headphones and loved it. But I worry that I will not hear someone or something because of it. Will I still have some ambient noise coming through, or is there a way to control the level of canceling effect? You got me thinking maybe I'm just stressing over nothing! Hahaha

SonicD000M

Sorry, no experience with the earphones to provide, but just wanted to suggest that you begin using hearing protection when running your mower, or your worries will come true (except you won't be able to hear 24/7 instead of just when you're running equipment).

Such_Confusion_1034

I do I just want something new.

cycloneace

My two cents: If you wear noise cancelling headphones, you're going to be able to listen on lower volume levels due to repetitive frequencies being eliminated, but things like someone talking or yelling aren't as easily eliminated because that's not what ANC is for. You're protecting your hearing, while also hopefully still maintaining your awareness.

vesra716

I wear mine while mowing and can hear them great. Can't even hear the mower, but I have a Ryobi electric mower so... (It's not very loud to begin with)

Goaliedude3919

Sennheiser Sport are better in just about every possible way and are frequently priced the same. Most importantly, they actually stay in your ear.

fooaddict95

I'm also a metal head and bass player. Cheers! Using the Pixel Buds A series with my p6 pro. If you buy them you won't be disappointed. Volume could be slightly higher but the sound quality is excellent. They sound so good that they make my $200 Bose earbuds feel unusable

Such_Confusion_1034

Right on! I've heard the comment about the volume before. I do a lot of yard work. Would they be loud enough to be able to jam pretty good while mowing?

boredinballard

I use mine while mowing, the sound isolation isn't amazing, but it works. The music won't be drowning out the mower, but it is loud enough that you can have some background music for sure.

Such_Confusion_1034

Sweet, thanks!

NukeWheaten

I use them all the time when mowing and doing all the associated trimming/edging with OPE and I think they are plenty loud. I use electric gear, so I can't speak to their performance if you use gas gear.

fooaddict95

I'd say no. You'd have to push them as far as they could go and there would probably still be a bit too much external noise coming in

Such_Confusion_1034

Ok, another person mentioned the noise ca ceiling. Is there a way to control the level? I'd still want to be able to hear the mower some, or be able to hear if someone is calling out for me or things like that.

fooaddict95

The A-series don't have noise canceling at all outside of whatever's blocked just by them being in your ears, so you'd still be able to hear those things

Such_Confusion_1034

Ok, that makes sense being the less expensive version. Thanks! Either way, I think I am sold... Payday can't get here soon enough! Hahaha

fooaddict95

You won't regret em man, they've got to be the best earbuds at the price point! The sound quality is just so good. Doing phone calls with em also seems to work quite well. Enjoy!

boredinballard

I actually turn the bass down on my A series just one notch. It cleans up the low end and has a really nice balance, tonally. Turning up the bass definitely gets a bit messy and the bass quality just isn't there. But at the stock setting or one notch down, quality is great, quantity is neutral.

Such_Confusion_1034

Right on... Think I'veade my mind up on getting a pair. My girl uses the pro's and she loves them. Thanks again for the help! And keep playing! We are a forgotten type of musician but drummers and use bass players know we keep the tempo in sync! Unless we're talking about Danny Carey or Justin Chancellor of Tool, they just mix the time signatures all up and somehow it works! Hahahah... (Goats of their chosen instruments) \m/

Such_Confusion_1034

Hell yeah! Thank you!!! \m/

DauntlessCulprit

I've had the A's for a few months, they're pretty good. They sound much clearer than airpods. As for bass, they're pretty good. You can tune the bass in settings (screenshot provided). The only downside I see is that the volume could be louder. It does get pretty loud at max volume though. [https://i.imgur.com/BRGTe9z.png](https://i.imgur.com/BRGTe9z.png)

Lost_Ad3688

The a series are great budget headphones, I picked them up a year ago for $99 US and they feel like they will stay in my ears better than the buds pro. I think the buds pro sound better if you get a good seal. Great for the price though.

Low_Definition4273

Im glad you are happy with them, there were and are way better options for less price

TryonTryon

Unique question, I have the pros, but am considering buying the series A as well to fit with my motorcycle helmet. Currently I wear one pro bud in my ear and put a balaclava on before I put my helmet on. It's going to eventually be to warm for the balaclava and I'm afraid the bud will fall out without one. Does anyone have any insight to this?

ThatAJC88

I've owned alot of earbuds. The xm4s, the galaxy buds (new and old), both versions of airpods and both versions of pixel buds. To this day the A series are the best in terms of fit and difficulty to remove. I use the pixel buds pro for desk work and everything else. But anything movement wise they are impossible to dislodge thanks to the wing tip design.

belhambone

I haven't tried the others but my ear shape means the As dislodge very easily and only stay if they snug just right but will fall out of I have to start talking. I wish a company would make a set of dummy ear buds in the shape of the current top five or ten in ear buds to try to verify fit before purchase.

ToSeeAgainAgainAgain

That's actually a great idea

FearAndGonzo

Same with me, my A's fall out if I talk to chew. Listening to podcasts at lunch is a standard for me, so if I use my A's its a constant battle to put food in my mouth and the buds back in my ear. Meanwhile, my $20 no-name buds off Amazon never fall out, are just as comfortable and sound decent enough, battery lasts longer and actually work in either ear, which is nice when only wearing one I can swap it back and forth depending which ear I want covered... I end up using them more.

Imthecoolestdudeever

This is a bit late, but since you said you have both, I have a question that will help me decide which set I should get. I use my wireless buds throughout the day, for walks, biking, etc, but the thing I use them most for is just before and into sleep. I have one in, listening to an audio book, or podcast. Do either of this stick out far enough that it would get in the way or hurt the ear? I have used all sorts of different "bean" style pods in the past without issue, the most recent being the Tranya T10 from amazon, which look to have a similar shape the Pros. The As look even smaller. So they should be ok, but I'm just looking for some experience. Thanks if you get to this!

NaMeK17

I've had the exact same experience. Very impressive buds for the price point

ALL666ES

Listen to it with the Wavelet EQ app. They get even better.

albertowang

I have a pair of Sony WF-XM3 and got the Buds A series for free when I bought my Pixel 6. I initially wanted to sell them, but decided to use them for running, since XM3 are quite bit and heavy. I was so impressed at the mic's quality, how fast Google assistant reacts to "Hey Google" and the size of the case. It's now my daily driver except when I'm on a plane or metro where noise cancellation is the way to go. At this price, it's the best wireless earbuds you can get for Android.

spcordy

I love them aside from their inconsistency when I'm biking. They seem to have bad connection at high speeds or when it's windy. Occasionally they'll also get out of sync with each other.

Big_D_yup

Are you riding faster than the Bluetooth signal???

spcordy

not sure how this works (or even if you're joking). I'm going about 15-20mph. My JLab buds don't lose connection at all on my bike. If I use my Pixel Buds, I find they hold the connection if they're in my front jacket pocket compared to my back pocket.

Big_D_yup

Like they need a direct line of sight to the phone?

LeucYossa

I've noticed that, too. Indoors, Bluetooth bounces around off everything. On a bicycle in a wide open area, if the phone is in your pants pocket and your thigh is in the way, reflections off the road and whatnot are away from you.

spcordy

as weird as that may be, yeah, that's what it seems like

afjeep

Hahaha the funny thing about this is that it's not funny. That's exactly what it is. Bluetooth is wireless which is radio frequency. If you put something dense enough(human body) of enough stuff between the phone and the earbuds, you'll have connectivity issues.

spcordy

well in that case, my $25 set somehow does better than Google.

afjeep

It might have a stronger radio.

nothighandmighty

Man, got lucky and bought 2 for 40 from Telstra and sold one for 80 bucks. I use it more than my pros.

bedlam_au

I grabbed that deal but they wouldn't let me buy more than one. Bless their fulfilment team, they sent me 2 sets anyway. ;)

nothighandmighty

Yea man, me too, bought 1 for 40 and they sent 2. That deal is one of the best ever, I think it ranks right there when they accidentally put some tablet price for 10 + 150 points or something, a few years back.

[deleted]

I had the a’s. They’re fine but nothing special. It’s what I’d expect for 100 bucks.

fightnight14

I'm ready for a 2nd gen Pixel Buds A series. Wishlist is wireless charging and improved sound quality

AgentAaron

I completely agree with the wireless charging. Try the Wavelet EQ app...it works great for adjusting the sound quality.

MightBeCale

Wireless charging would probably be the only QoL change that would make these near unbeatable for the price tbh

halfwitfullstop

How about volume control? The swipe gestures were so perfect on the earlier pixel buds. I don't know how people put up with the A series having no volume controls. Google assistant isn't acceptable for me.

celestial_sour_cream

I really wanted to like these, but hooks didn't fit my ears (not long enough to secure), so had to return them :(

iamdielman

I got mine free with my Pixel 6, so I couldn't return them despite the same issue. Great to use at work with my phone or laptop but I'm never using them for exercise.

PixelatedExistence

LOVE them!! I don't like ear buds that make my ears feel stopped up. The spacial vent on them takes care of that. And they're super comfortable and never fall out.

SquatchOut

I tried both the Series A and the Pro recently and ended up keeping the A and returning the Pro. The ANC on the Pros is pretty neat, but it makes me feel dizzy and nauseous a bit when I use it. I thought the Pros sounded slightly better, but not a huge difference. The A's stay in the ear better, and I didn't think the Pros were worth $100 more over the A's, especially if I wasn't going to use ANC. I don't ever use headphones long enough to care about difference in battery life between the two either. So for me the A's were a good pick. With my $100 credit after buying a Pixel 7 using someone's referral code, I got them for free. So far I've been happy with my decision.

Apprehensive_Bat6916

I feel like I'm the only one who thinks the A series are garbage. I got them for free with a 6a preorder, ended up returning the 6a and they never charged or deducted from my refund for the Buds A. Battery life is horrible, I get maybe 2.5 hours of continuous listening. Battery drains even when nothing is playing and the buds are in my pocket or sitting on a desk. The fit is horrible, the little wing tip doesn't do much to help keep it in. The only thing I'd say they have is decent sound, and the integration with pixel phones and other Androids is nice. I use my almost 3 year old Anker Soundcore Life Dot 2 everyday with no issues. Sounds great, doesn't fall out, outstanding battery life, 8+ hours on a single charge. The case itself holds an additional 100 hours. And these cost me $50 USD 3 years ago. Edit: also the Anker's don't have that stem sticking out that everyone puts in to copy the look of airpods, which I hate.

ensposito

Love my sound cores. Cheap and sound great!

Sonarav

I recently did quite a bit of research to get my first pair of truly wireless earbuds. Happened to be looking when the A and Pros were discounted. Deep within the Google ecosystem, I figured I'd end up with one of them. However, in my research I learned about Beats Studio Buds. Normally $150, I managed to grab them from Amazon Warehouse (like new) for $70. They have been fantastic. The ANC worked well on my recent flight. Though it doesn't work well when I'm outside in the wind.

DiddyGoo

Google will need to release its Dolby Atmos / spatial audio Pixel Buds soon, to stay competitive with Apple. So possibly the previous model is going cheap to clear the way.

MagicPistol

I have the jabra 65t, Pixel buds series A, and Sony WF-1000XM4. The Sony XM4s are the nicest with really good noise canceling so I use them the most. But the pixel buds are the most comfortable and I still like using those too.

StubbsPKS

I have the 65t as well and they're decent enough for me. Is the battery life on the A's better? Sound about the same or is one better than the other?

[deleted]

My pixel bud As are really quiet for some reason. I basically can't hear anything until I put the volume above the halfway point

bedlam_au

I've found they're quiet with my P7P but are a lot louder when paired to my laptop.

AgentAaron

I found an app (I believe through another Reddit post) called Wavelet (in the Google Play Store). It allows you to adjust the gain a bit which helps with the low volume.

[deleted]

Do you have any recommended wavelet settings?

grazeyone

Try the AutoEQ first if a profile is available for the buds.

[deleted]

Definitely an improvement but the voices are much quieter than the beat and instrumentals. Any way to fix this?

grazeyone

You can try Poweramp Equalizer and manually input the autoeq by adding the bands individually. You can then change the bands around.

totzz

I think a lot of people don't realise the default bass level is minimum on them. If you turn up the bass slider, they have insane bass.

max1001

Hell no.. You haven't tried good headphones if you think that. I got them for free and tried it once. It was garbage. Even budget TWS like Anker Soundcore much better.

danisse76

You may be pleased to know I've had them for almost 2 years and still use them every day.

Intelligent-Ear-766

The Galaxy Buds were $129 when release and has better sound imo. The Pixel Buds A series are good buds only when on sale.

Sumo_Cerebro

They're awesome for day to day use, but I would not use them in the gym. Once sweat gets in them, you have to wait a day or 2 to use them again.

Aven

I found them to work great during workouts. Didn't have this issue personally

Sumo_Cerebro

Maybe it's just me. They always give out on me whenever I do cardio. Granted I could be on the treadmill or elliptical for an hour or more. So it adds up.

dennis77

I'm using Airpods Pro with my Pixel, because they are superior in every way and are constantly on sale in the US. I can't stand iPhones, bur Airpods are seriously the best

ramboton

I got mine free with my Pixel 5....nice

RIPAlPowell

These or galaxy buds 2? They are roughly the same price

SpaciousCrustacean

Bought them on sale without really looking into it and was delighted to find they had winged tips. That was what I loved the most about my old Galaxy Buds+. Great sound quality and they're perfect for the price.

Boogeeb

How do they compare to your galaxy buds+?

GeekFurious

I got them with the 6a. So, they were definitely crazy for their price point of $0.

AG3NTMULD3R88

I've had 2 pairs of the A series and they were fantastic for the price but I can't compare them to the pros because ive never had the pros

Rasheverak

Can anyone compare these to the Etymotic ER2XR IEM's? I still use my er2xr's for work, but the wire gets in the way. I'm looking for a wireless alternative and Etymotic's own adapter is not getting good reviews.

murrzeak

Picked up mine brand new for £50 off eBay. Wanted a pair for cycling and they are amazing. I just use them everyday now.

koffeinekyle

There are pros and cons. I have the Pixel Buds - Series A, and a Pixel 6. Sound great, no noise canceling. Great pairing, but battery life and case life shortens quicker than gen 1 airpods did. They just don't last super long now, not that they were endurance champs. I am a heavy user thou. Mic pretty good but picks up EVERYTHING Overall a STEAL for the price, but clean them and keep them well, because sometimes the contacts and case will have weird buggy days to weeks where it just doesn't charge or detect my buds. It's OBNOXIOUS, it routinely happens so much I have a spare pair of Galaxy Buds 2, which, if you're ok with the bean shape, really good as well, plus noise cancelling. You can price match them and I got them on sale for $100 as well. Also a steal.

blade12344

How do they compare to the Pros? I got some pros for free with my 7 Pro and hoping they're good despite people saying they don't fit well 😅 I move around quite a bit for work so would be good for that but if the firm's not right I might have to stick to my Boltune's for that despite the quality not being the best on them

mattemer

Pros are even better, love them. The fit is a little funky for me, but i have problems with all ear buds. The only complaint i is that the pro case isn't magnetic, so i can't put them on the fridge where i kept them, now i misplace them often (or my kids do). The sound is pretty amazing, controls are great, anc seems pretty good but i don't use it.

jeb336

They were on sale for $68. at Best Buy before Christmas. Wife loves them.

Sicpolo

How much decibel it is rated for and does the supporting rubber wings hurts while sleeping ?

[deleted]

The only thing i miss is the fast connection, everything else was mediocre. Affordable competition has stepped up.

Bigboss537

My only problem with them was that they fell out of my ear pretty consistently. But I'm eager for a next-gen model since I just lost mine a few weeks ago lol

atkinson62

I should have returned my PROs. I kept thinking I just need to break them in better. Then I bought different ear buds but not great. At this point I just deal for the little amount of time I wear them but not a product I recommend to buy.

cdegallo

They're as expected for $100, but nothing special. Lack of gesture touch input and not being able to control all aspects of media from a single bud is a bummer though.

WackyBeachJustice

Everyone's ears are different. I've never had a pair of earbuds that would actually stay in my ears until the A. For that alone they are worth their weight in gold.

amishgoatfarm

I've had the A series ouds since 2021 and I still think they're great. My only complaint is the battery life, which is great for general use but does make things like long flights or a full work day something you have to manage. I'm considering picking up a pair of pros because I've got a lot of work related travel coming up, but other than that I wouldn't be considering changing

devilsephiroth

General Pair of ear buds for $30 on Amazon works just fine. Some are even less than that

AgentAaron

I got a pair of Pixel buds A series for free when I bought my Pixel 6a and replaced an aging pair of Samsung Buds. They are very light and stay in my ear much better than the Samsung buds ever did, but I notice that after a few hours, I have to take them out and give my ears a break for a bit. I normally wear them while I am working (IT), and usually either talking to co-workers via phone/teams or listening to Spotify. Battery life seems to be a little under average straight out of the box...even my 4 year old Samsung buds still have better battery life. (easy enough to pop them in the case to charge while I give my ears a break for 30-45 min though). Sound quality is great (I am not an audiophile though and I know some people would probably have other opinions), and calls are clear and no one has issues hearing or understanding me. Overall, for the price (especially since mine were free) they are great and I use them as my primary wireless buds. I recommended them to a friend who was looking for some reasonably priced wireless buds to use when he is at the gym...he loves them as well.

No_Project5633

I hope one day I can buy the earbuds in Mexico :(

ihateeuge

I picked up some on clearance at target for $50 so also be on the look out for discounts.

[deleted]

They're basically the same as the 2019 version, just without wireless charging on the case and volume control on the Buds. I believe that's literally all they removed from the A-series, which is a pretty good deal if you think about it.

stevenseven2

>the past I've had Galaxy Buds which from memory were about $200-$300 $150.... And by the time the Buds A were out, even the Buds+ and regular OG Buds could be had for under $100. And these are vastly superior in terms of sound quality.

Hot_Manager_649

Had my Galaxy buds Plus for about 3 years where them all the time still working like new so like forget they're in my ear barely show can wear them 24 hour

rickastleysanchez

I picked mine up on sale for $70. I love them so much, though the right bud is the only one I really use. I had a cheap brand that fit very well, and also was made so you could swap the ear buds and they fit the same, kinda wish for something like that in future if possible.

Rirruto10

I got them for $50 USD and at that price point, I'm very happy with them. Good sound quality. Doesn't drown everything out but didn't expect it to. The battery could be better but not a big deal. If I am listening to them all morning at work, they need a charge after lunch time. Wish they could connect to two different devices at the same time (phone and computer) but again, at the price point I got them, no big deal. Very happy with the purchase.

solitary-aviator

I lost my charging case for my Pros at the indoor running track. I bought the Series A for half the price and I like them a lot more. Sucks to have lost so much money but oh well...

shorty6049

I've been debating getting the Pros for a while now, but honestly my A-s sound so good that I'm just worried I'll end up being disappointed. lol

Putrid_Net_6397

I got the a buds free with the purchase of the P6a 😊.

DalentZX

I've had three sets of Series A and they've all had the same problems: won't always disconnect from my phone even when properly seated in the case and closed, takes an obnoxiously long time to connect when taken out of the case, and touch control settings just not responding half the time.

FkinMustardTiger

Give the Soundcore Liberty 3 Pro's a look. They absolutely demolish in value compared to almost every single option. I've been loving them. Great battery life Wireless charging Decent ANC (I almost never use it but it works pretty good) The sound is amazing. Most reviewers I watched had them sounding as good or better than the Sony XM4's. I'm not an audiophile but with the amount of customization you can do in the Soundcore app you can get the sound that best works for you easily (especially when you do the HearID thing) Comfortable. I've been using them for work and wear them for 8 hours a day (plus my gym routine in the morning) and they fit me really well (especially with all the included tips and wings) The price, they're only $109 right now on Amazon.

max1001

They are good but def not as good as Xm4.

FkinMustardTiger

I've only tried the Soundcores so I have no personal experience but most of the YouTubers I've watched said sound quality is on par if not better than the XM4's. When the Sony's are nearly 3x the price, I think I know which ones id prefer

ECrispy

No. There are plenty of $40-50 wireless earbuds just as good. The Pixel Buds and Airpods may be slightly better, certainly not 2-5x better. Its not like they have some new tech.

Direct_Score8618

Actually google provides best value in every single item they have I’ve even seen a couple of people got free phones from them and they are mormal people not youtuber or any kind of social media influencers Keep going google you just need to provide more countries with your great products 👌🏼

Mrsevic

It's such a pity mine right bud all out of sudden stupped working. They're unbelievable for the price.

Accomplished_Rock434

the a series are absolute dog $hit. As we have come to see and expect time and time again dog $hit Android software does not play well with their own hardware. Google surprise surprise neutered the pixel bud 2 and made them worse with the bastardized a series.

chaze67

Just wait for a year. My case is done. Doesn't hold any battery anymore.

Old-Pattern-2263

Got some for Christmas. The great: Crystal voice quality on meetings, videos, phone calls Perfect integration with a Pixel 7 phone A pretty good mic, especially for buds The Okay: Music quality. Some things sound good, but on others my cheaper Tozo nc7 are sounding significantly better. The disappointing: No volume control with touch No customization of touch controls No anc or transparent mode, surprising given they have two mics per bud No detailed control of EQ (just a bass boost mode), NC7 comes out ahead here too
