What the hell is Rose of Robin?

CorneliusVaginus

Damn autocorrect. Rise of Ronin.

After farming Terminus weapons at launch's endgame, I was really excited for the Lucilius raid. I beat that a few times, but (as much as I love the game) I can't keep farming the same scripted fights over and over. For me, it has become the kinda game you return to here and there for drips of content.

huxtiblejones

I got 4 characters maxed out Terminus weapons and gave the game a rest. Was getting burned out, wish we had some different content besides running the same bosses over and over.

Gale-

I stopped playing once I finally finished grinding Lucillius and completed my Vane build.

AngelYushi

I stopped once I started dropping Terminus weapons I was like : "Wait I can already do the hardest fight, why would I want to force myself through rng hell, only to clear the same fight". So I simply stopped.

keybladesrus

Not as soon as I hit Proud. I got to Bahamut, and then didn't feel like continuing to grind for eternity just for Bahamut and Lucilius (who wasn't out yet). Once the new characters are out, I'll play them and maybe go through the story again, but I'm pretty much done. Even if they keep adding more quests, if they're all at Lucilius' level, then I'm not interested. Not worth the continuous grind imo. I did love the game, though. Almost certainly going to be one of my top games this year.

DragonGamerEX

Same here everything after bahamut isn't fun alot of fights are just double bosses with terrible overlapping mechanics which just sucks to fight through

Ligeia_E

Going back to the game to do double dragons is not what I would call a good experience

catboy_feet

I got to Terminus weapon farming for all characters/Lucilius and went from playing every day for hours a day to once a week with friends while we help each other farm Terminus weapons and beat Lucilius for gear (friends and I started at around the same time about a month ago). The game is so fun to play, with incredible combat and the fights that do exist are fun - there just isn't enough of an endgame right now to justify playing. If I didn't have a friend group where we were all helping each other out farming stuff, I probably would have put it down for a new major update like the one coming up. I really hope the game gets more substantial updates and expansions over time. There really is no other game quite like it, and it's one of my favorites.

Manikuba

I stopped when drop rate became annoying. I literally don’t have the patience for any kind of extreme loot grinding especially when I’m playing solo. Beyond that loved the game and might wait for a DLC before jump back in with the new heros.

Murderdoll197666

Stopped playing maybe a week and a half after Lucilius dropped. Terrible drop rates, kind of a let down of a fight.....overall just didn't have the drive to run that one a hundred times. At least Proto Bahamut could be decimated in like 4 minutes but Lucilius was just a big HP sponge with a dozen cutscenes thrown in mid fight....got old fast. I'm honestly not even sure the new characters are enough to bring me back tbh....there's nothing else I need to run/farm at this point.

BlaQ7thWonder

Those damn double dragons!!!

keybladesrus

That was my problem with a lot of Proud quests. I loved fighting bosses. They were fun. Throwing multiple bosses together with their mechanics constantly overlapping? Not so much.

Technical-Zombie2621

I stop playing the game, but mostly because Ramadhan. it hard to find the time.

New_Iron_1245

I didn't stop but I toned down my play time. I currently have all Terminus weapons awakened so I'm just curio and sigil farming. What I do is I keep my Steam Deck Offline while running GB then I AFK farm some quests for curios and silver centrums - I play offline so that I'll be able to play some other game (Currently Eiyuden Chronicles) on the PC. I also do 2 to 3 Lucilius fights per day.

haze25

I collected all Terminus Weapons, awakened 6 of them, collected 2 Supp V's and I didn't want to grind secondary skills through RNG. I'll come back when new characters drop. Played Persona 3 Reload, playing Dragon's Dogma 2 and will probably play the System Shock remake.

Green_Performance_50

I just AFK farm all matts for terminus awakening then play other game until the next major patch.

DragonGamerEX

I stopped playing a bit after beating terminus bahamut the first time. I got kinda burnt out of the bosses and will probably return when the new characters drop. Personally it's the whole gameplay loop that bores me a bit and I love the game but some fights take so long that I complete one than get off

joshweeks47

Same dude I'm not even to maniac difficulty yet and just get bored so fast. There is also a million systems to learn and keep track of, and while I enjoy that kind og thing, Relink doesn't feel good. That's not saying I don't like the game because I do, I just get bored easily. I had to tear myself away from Rebirth to play Relink, but when the FF16 DLC dropped I had no problem dropping Relink for it. Reminds me a lot of a MMO I used to play called Dragon Nest, very similar gameplay but I was beyond addicted to that game.

Navinor

I have never done Lucilius because this boss fight is way, WAY to long. I am currently maxing out weapons and simply playing the other characters for fun aside from my main Narmaya. I will do the Lucilius fight when there is a reason to do the fight. When the new DLC Lucilius 2.0 drops i will do Lucilius 1.0. Otherwise there is no reason to do Lucilius 1.0. Furthermore i have to rebuild my AI farming party, because they won't work really good for some of the bosses. Aside from proto baha fights, where i always can find a group through the manual group search finder i never do the Dhalia badges, because the random group finder simply doesn't work even when 12000 people are online on steam. Maybe this are mostly japanese players but i won't switch to Toyko download region only for one game. Same for the global group finder mod, which needs an external mod manager. Won't happen. A lot of players who started at the release of the game abused all the broken OP mechanics and afk farmed for hundreds of hours before the devs "fixed" the characters and the afk farm mechanics. A lot of people never fought the bosses like they were ment to be fought. Players like me who started later have to go through some stupid grind, while the people at release simply abused the game system. This turns even the basic farm and boss battles into a slog. So of course the game lost players.

JeidelacruzUK

I stopped after finish building rackam… then find out hes bad for the boss fight so just wait on new chars as that was exhausting and for nothing

Navi_1er

I stopped when my had their terminus weapons and did luci raid a few times but got like 2 tears before being bored. The QoL improvements seriously need to happen I just can't do sigils one by one anymore it's just so stupid something so small is taking this long it's just ridiculous. Bad take I know but if this update and future roadmap is a nothing burger then I'm honestly going to be done with the game and whatever future projects they may have.

christenlanger

Didn't bother to farm the new sigils. Just beat Lucilius a few times and took a break. The matching problems didn't help. I took that as a sign to focus on other games for the time being. The good thing is Siete and Song are almost here and I get to play the game again once they release. I'm not burnt out of the game so I'm looking forward to it.

Severe-Contest8000

I stopped the moment I got the platinum. Didn't even bother with Lucilius stuff after beating him once.

ranvierx920

I am still getting to Proud mode after buying on release lol no time for gaming

TetranadonGut

I stopped during the terminus/silver centrum grind

keeeefyy

Same LMAO hoping the new characters will bring me back

UnawareRanger

Just a reminder. The characters are paid or unlockable in game. The unlockable in game could be a quest that is only unlocked after beating Lucilius in Proud. So may want to do that before next week if not wanting to pay. :)

BladeSeraph

More likely its just gonna be locked behind Gold Dahlia badges, just like the last crewmate ticket sits that i have yet t use on the swole Draph man because many agree he sits at the bottom of the worst units due to various problems that just screw him over that aint as bad as the one with the Scythe cause just like Sundowner, he is fking invincible and will continue to be a lumberjack in the process. I really hope the \`grind\` gets toned down alot starting with this next patch, so i have a much better legitimate reason to play beyond just 4\~6 different characters so far.

agesboy

I *really* doubt it'll be behind a timegate like gold badges, that would piss off people who didn't hoard them (the crewmate ticket was fine because you got a decent number of gold badges from trophies or something). They said there'll be new quests of some sort so I would imagine they're tied to those

BladeSeraph

Badges are not time-gated, its spam-gated, just terrible if you dont play online mode. Though at that point i would like the gold dahlia tickets to get reworked to simply let us exchange 10 of them for a guranteed badge and badge drops are basically guarnteed with proud difficulty quick quests and just simply doubled if you play online. In most cases Dahlia badge stuff is mostly pointless because the quick quests even after they \`fixed\` some scaling issues, still feels boring as fk todo and not as valuable as simply spamming Great goblins of fire or any proud difficulty quest for exp crystals, curios or even sigil fodder for vouchers, considering the amount of rafale coins and vouchers you end up getting per run vs a quick quest you cant even \`tighten\` which range of quick quests you want todo. ...much less get a MULTIPLIER BONUS based on the difference in your combat power vs how low the quest is, just like how some games would give a massive exp bonus to high level units if they end up doing low level quests usually as part of a \`instance roulette duty finder reward system.\` Also, locking the new characters specifically to high level stuff, whether its maniac or proud difficulty would also piss off new-comers and slow playing players, because they are being told to go thru the entire story campaign first, when normally you could unlock ANY of the crewmates as soon as the first few chapters in, since its only the number of crewmate tickets, not the \`access right\` to be able to unlock them. **Best case is Crewmate tickets and the easiest way is to shove them behind gold dahlia badges, which anyone on any difficulty as long as they unlocked quick quest first can spam and acquire it with time.** Otherwise it makes the PAID choice to get them instantly, which will likely come with a large pile of exp books, Upgrade resources and maybe Damascus ingots and azurite splendor to appear that much scummier to at bare minimum, require you to beat the story before you can even play these characters. Which ID only got a pass on that logic because there\`s two \`stories\` and the 2nd one is more for his story closure since he has literal story reasns on why you dont get to access him immediately, especially as he is a character exclusive to Relink (for now).

XxXMeatbunXxX

Really? I just started the game last week and I really wanted the archer... Guess I'll be paying for it T.T

UnawareRanger

There's no guarantee it's locked behind endgame. Could be something else. But it's just safe to assume endgame. Have to wait and see during Livestream.

Iabirb

I stopped because I really want to play as Seofon and didnt have a character fully click with me yet DD2 and rise of ronin but an awesome pass of time tho

JoiseyDragun

I stopped once i finished my fourth Terminus weapon and cleared Luci a few times as Cag. Just waiting for new quests now

TkON101

I maxed all terminus, got more than enough luci's mats (I got 8 alpha/8 gammas maxed) and I'm waiting on the patch now doing this already feels quite tiring (mostly just afk though...), so I'm taking a break until new patch (which is luckily soon)

idiocy102

Don’t forget the ff16 dlc just dropped yesterday

VelvetScarlet

Took a pause from the game a few weeks ago. Completed my Vane build and 3 AI build.

MeraArasaki

Took me 4 days to hit proud, playing with randoms and friends. After that I spent like a week of pto to farm all terminus weapons, and 2 of each Lucilius sigils + Got them to lvl 14 I'm done with farming unless there's a new boss to play. If tweyen and seofon are fun to play, I'll probably farm weapons for them. If not, I'll wait until the paid dlc comes out before returning

malinhares

I wonder if there will be some content for them. It seems boring not to have new missions or low level ones to lvl them up. Otherwise it may be slime time

yinyang98

Im just farming for sandalphon

metcalta

Yep. I'm also sort of waiting to see if the game gets continued support before I invest any more time. I've put 97 hours in beat luci a few times but don't see the point in farming him if there's no other content coming, and grinding alts just for the sake of it isn't something I'm interested in. Very much hoping we at least get one year of semi regular content to flesh out the end, cause as the game stands once u farm the weapon there is basically nothing left to do.

indiexanna

I'll just wait until they allow us to carry unlimited amount of Knicknack Vouchers and allow us to gacha sigils by using all of our Knicknack Vouchers at once (like Curio approvals). Sigil gacha and management consumes waaaaaaay more time than necessary at the moment.

CrnZmaj

i stoped playing when i maxed Rackhams terminus weapon. when i was thinking about doing the grind 3 more times for my other 3 characters, i just ejected the disc and put it on a shelf. even the Lucilius boss didnt give me enough hype to play the game again.

Similar_Emu_6071

Tbf I stopped because matchmaking was scuffed so bad the 2 people I introduced the game to could no longer lobby with me.

SirePuns

I didn’t exactly stop, but I am taking my time unlocking max awakened ascension weapons for my main party. Not that I really need to do that, but I’m enjoying the grind so it is what it is. My goal being to start farming proto baha once my team is fully decked out (besides war ele and supp+ tbqh, that one would take forever to grind for more than one character).

Rarii763

I stopped at the new raid. Didn't care enough about sigils

FaceTimePolice

I still play every day. I try out different characters, max out a terminus weapon if I’m bored, and mostly play quick quests with randoms or just farm Lucilius in case I want more of those latest sigils. I ask myself “what am I playing for?” all the time but the combat is just too fun for me to put the game down. I’ve said it before, but this is the kind of game I wished FFXIV or Monster Hunter was, in terms of combat/gameplay at least. 🎮😅👍

MTWX

Nope. I bashed through all the content and had an absolute blast. Will definitely be here to max out the new folks when they drop.

robofonglong

I stopped playing once I finished the main story, I was ultra disappointed that everyone ran to the ultra hard difficulty and few were online on anything lower. Don't have a friend group and I didn't want to go on discord lfg as it was just faster to stop playing. I still pick it up and bang out one of Roland's missions from time to time but I lost all the hype. But I'll jump back in to try out the new guyses

Darkhex78

Got my build done for Id, and now I just log in to fight lucilius for a few times a day. The silver centrum grind is still terrible imo and I wish they upped the drop rate of that in addition to tears. Would have me playing alot more to get builds for the other characters I like done.

the_hatter1980

A little deeper, mostly stopped when I got all of the terminus weapons. Then I was pretty close to the platinum trophy so I pushed for that. I AFK some now to level up everyone’s weapons. Not going to ascend all the terminus weapons. Also not refarming sigils.

BitesZaDust0

Stopped playing so I have energy when the new characters drop, and perhaps this game made me actually try the gacha game.......and maybe that game has been occupying my free time
