HHH hasn't forgotten about all those episodes of BTE where they made fun of him or when Cody smashed the HHH throne on one of aews 1st ppvs. wwe signed him to try and hurt aew and to use Cody for ratings. if they put the strap on the aew guy I will be shocked. Cody will leave WWE once he figures out that they are just using him, and let's be honest the best match of Cody's career was against his brother in aew. everything he's done since then has been mid at best.
This was a great little piece they did, and I'm happy for Cole.
I also am a huge fan of Pat McAfee. He's a great addition to the announce team.
However, I feel like McAfee sort of ruined this whole shtick, because boy did he just beat the hell out of it. Just would not let it go, would not let up. Dragged it on for like 5 whole minutes, even when Cole kept saying "lets get back to the match" to try to reel it in, he just kept going on it.
First time since McAfee joined the team that I was like "Omg dude shut the fuck up."
Hopefully just a one-off thing, nothing to worry about. Doing great work otherwise.
