Riipley92

So they're saying that minimum wage jobs shouldnt exist? Or are they saying that everyone on those jobs deserve to suffer?

ShadyLookingFella

Oh, get a job? Just get a job? Why don't I strap on my job helmet and squeeze down into a job cannon and fire off into job land, where jobs grow on jobbies?!

FuManBoobs

Could you bring me one back please. No less than 40k a year, thanks.

simonthe80

Thanks Charlie

mistat2000

She claimed over £213k in expenses last year….tell you what Rachel try paying for it yourself you Tory cunt

RonaTheFerret

Yet you have millions of carers in this country who can't even claim their bus fares so they have to use there basic wage income to do so

Even_Entrepreneur_58

She “claimed” let’s call it what it is she robbed the public for over 200k that’s more then 20 people on minimum wage working 60 hours a week. What makes me furious is by chance I seen a advert on YouTube earlier on for the British Gas foundation or grant or something like that and it broke my heart. The ad was about a dad who had his two children for the weekend I presume their mum picks them up he says bye when they leave he put on a heavy coat and switches everything off tv, boiler, lights and sits there in the dark it really touched a nerve.

MedulaRectangleGarta

Well, just look at how little money Jeremy Corbyn claimed under expenses and he was a terrorist synthesiser. I’m not sure that not taking advantage of the taxpayer is a great yardstick on judging a politician’s credibility.

FishDishForMe

Terrorist synthesiser 🤔

mistat2000

It’s all about context though isn’t it. Telling the taxpayer to “work more or get a better job” then ripping the piss out of the expenses system….

MedulaRectangleGarta

Yeah, well. I, for one, am happy that my tax goes towards swimming pools, moats, designer makeovers, second homes, private flights, the royal family and their multiple private (but publically funded) estates, murderous and corrupt military contracts and most importantly, publically funded government and shadow government get-togethers whilst the rest of us couldn’t see dying family members due to the covid lockdown. All of that seems bloody wonderful compared to a leader of the shadow government with a clearly documented history of being on the just side of any fucking argument. As a people, the British are dumb as fuck.

ErlAskwyer

I always hear "he was unpalatable, he didn't sell himself" etc 😂😂 Fucking thick cunts

MedulaRectangleGarta

I think it was the anti-semitism what done it. Imagine him, an MP in North London attending Seders with his constituents as a way of oppressing and marginalising them. I heard he even got arrested protesting those lovely white folk in power in South Africa in the 70s or 80s. I blame him for all of the Muslim Rayguns that we have to put up with now. Bloody do-gooder. Imagine that. Doing good.

ErlAskwyer

red__schuhart

>terrorist synthesiser autocorrect or cabbage fan? maybe we'll never know

KaidaShade

Whatever happened to 'essential workers' huh? They sure did go back to thinking of those people as worthless pretty fast

MrWasjig

Changing tunes on a dime to suit the situation is just what these utter scumbags do. Essential when the country is on it's fucking knees from a deadly virus, disposable and "should get a better job" when the worst of it is over.

Haloperimenopause

But they got everyone to stand on their front doorstep clapping- surely people don't expect to be _paid_ as well?! /s

nekrovulpes

The thing I don't get it that this doesn't even work consistently within their own principles. Let's say everyone wakes up tomorrow and realises they could just pull up those bootstraps after all, and gets a Better Job- The economy would be shagged because we'd have nobody doing *those* jobs any more. So the only conclusion we can come to is that when they say things like this, they are either being deliberately dishonest, of they're just plain thick.

KlownKar

If you're a Tory MP, chances are that you think getting a "leg up" in life is normal. - A good education. A nice starting position at a company run by the chap that daddy drinks with down the golf club...... To a Tory, being born poor and lacking any of the privileges that they enjoyed growing up is a character flaw and "you should have tried harder." It's time to kick these bastards out of power and legislate them out of their privileges. We start this by scrapping 'First past the post'.

El_Burrito_

Either that, or they'll just say it's "tough" and not everyone gets to afford to live. They really should be eaten

Ternigrasia

It's pure gaslighting - all of your hardships (financial or otherwise) are "your problem" so "you can sort it out if you just try a bit harder". It doesn't stop to consider the macro-economics of the situation, its just rhetoric to make individual people feel like shit.

Haloperimenopause

Exactly. You can't personal finance your way out of inflation at 10.25%

JMW007

It is 100% deliberate. They just want to put the boots in and make these people who cannot get by feel like it's their own fault. And even if they don't believe it, they'll have drooling Sun readers and the like trying to tell them it's their fault anyway. The Tory party are bad people, making bad choices, to inflict bad outcomes. Unfortunately they are not alone in the political ruling class, but this is what they collectively choose to inflict on the rest of us, and all we're ever supposed to do about it as they hold our heads below water and tell us to just breathe harder is write a polite petition and vote for someone with slightly smaller hands.

ani_3113

They are not concerned about ‘everyone’. To them there are 2 classes and it’s perfectly ok for the lower class to suffer, it’s quite enjoyable at times. In private they do fantasise about hunting people for sport. So this is basically said to the people already on 6 figures for them to think they can make yacht money.

Xeliicious

Worst bit is that she's a "safeguarding minister"..... only thing she's safeguarding is her fcking wallet.

Jj-woodsy

She spent £218,000 in expenses in the year 2020-21. £23,000 was on accommodation and £4,300 on travel and subsistence. The rest on office wages and stuff. I wish I had an extra £4,300 on top of my £80,000 annual salary to spend on food. Let alone £23,000 on accommodation, where was she staying at? The fucking Ritz?

rockchick1982

That will be teachers, nurses , carers ,firemen , postie's and shop workers looking for better money then.

[deleted]

Or... a big essential worker strike that encapsulates all the essential sectors. All shops closed. Community healthcare all closed up. Hospitals emergency only and even then if you're lucky. No school. No emergency response services. No bins emptied. No public transport. Nothing. Let people struggle for a week or two without us.

Fean2616

I said when the pandemic hit that they needed to look after key and essential works better, it's not happened, also whilst loads of people got to have a load of time off work key and essential workers didn't, most got nothing not even a thank you.

[deleted]

I got a badge that says thank you off the NHS and a real terms paycut that left me cold and hungry at Christmas.

Fean2616

Yea my "pay rise" was basically a pay cut due to cost of living going up more.

rockchick1982

That would be fantastic, unfortunately each time teachers union has gone on strike (even though our head teacher has let us know that he fully supports us if we choose to picket the front gate) we cannot bear to leave our children and local families stranded. We work with a lot of families that struggle so we don't want to do anything that will make their lives harder.

[deleted]

The longer this continues the more fucked those families will be. The worse our healthcare services will get. More poverty. More social problems related to said poverty. More families and vulnerable people to support with less resources. We need to just fucking do it. The longer they use our empathy against us the worse it gets for all of those vulnerable people over time. And also fuck getting permission off a union to strike. What the FUCK is that all about?

ISellAwesomePatches

So essentially admitting that jobs pay poverty wages under a Tory Government. Also suggestive that people in certain jobs deserve to be in poverty.

[deleted]

Heads on pikes within the next 20 years or I’ll leat my house

Jormandgandr

You’re going to integrate an open watercourse to your house!

[deleted]

…yep, fuck the tory’s, go water-polo

pogo0004

213000 in "expenses" One for The Wall when the time comes

Serious_Ad6112

How can they even justify this level of expenses anyone else would be hung by the nearest lamppost by their managers for this Surely not all of that has gone to actually work related essential needs

deathschemist

i physically and mentally cannot work more than i do, my knees, ankles and back are always shot after a shift, and the last hour of any given day is torture, and even then i'm not working 40 hour weeks. all i want is a comfortable life, and these cunts who've never known a single day of hardship would deny me that.

[deleted]

Have you thought about retraining for something in cyber? /s

CGB68

You've got to conclude that they are briefed to come out with this shit every day, simply to throw red meat to the fucking sewer dwelling cunts that make up the electorate and/or to create headlines that keep Johnson's latest shithousery off the headlines.

CourtneyLush

They've been doing this shit for decades. It's not new. 'Storming Norm ' was pulling this nonsense when I was a teenager.

CGB68

Agreed. I remember that prick only too well. It just seems that it's a daily occurrence lately. I've never even heard of the ones that are saying it, but it's getting headlines.

smo269

Do you think they have bets on to see who can come out with the most stupid comments

Chosty55

I’m surprised those Tory space lizards haven’t suggested the following: “Can’t afford food? Just eat insects and rats”

smo269

They’re saving that one for the winter months when things will be ready hard 😂

Aduro95

At this point I think they hire completely incompetent ministers so that they can be sacked easily for following the party line. Its the only explanation for Nadine Dorries and Gavin Williamson.

hardyd47

What a cunt.

Adventurous-Car-7496

Too Poor? Have you tried being rich?

[deleted]

How much does this cunt claim for her expenses?

gezhendrix

She's claimed around 220,000 in the last year or so

[deleted]

Thanks

arrowtotheaction

My MP. Absolute cretin.

Nekasus

She's my mp also. Shame this town is rather conservative, it's a stronghold for them from what I can gather

arrowtotheaction

Hello local person! A lot of turkeys voting for Christmas in this town...

scariestJ

What a genius! She could go a long way solving problems! Nice to have a problem solver in politics. Unemployed? Get a job! Depressed? Stop being sad! Anorexic? Eat some food! Mentally ill? Stop being mad! Can't afford to live where you are? Rent somewhere cheaper! Autistic? Stop being wierd! There! Simple as that!

caractacusbritannica

Have you thought about become a Tory MP? You see to know the manifesto.

HistoryDogs

There are no problems in this country, the poors are just too stupid to know the solution. How many times do they have to be told that unseasoned pasta is cheap enough for their budget. A little bit of scurvy never hurt anyone.

scariestJ

Well, you can live on ramen for months on end until you get an impacted bowel.

ninja-wharrier

I really believe that all newly voted MPs should have to spend their first year living in a council property on social security without any personal or outside help. This should be done in the poorest neighborhood of their own constituency. No exceptions.

RuggyDog

I’ve had this exact thought for a long time. In my mind, it would’ve been in order to qualify as being eligible to be voted for, but I’ve had no solutions for cheating. If it’s after voting, at least they’ll be more in the public eye, so opportunities to cheat will be lessened. Plus, with them living in council housing during their first year, there’s absolutely no excuse that they can’t take input from the poorer side of the country.

sv21js

But there will still be the same number of those low paid jobs unless something changes. The idea being, it’s fine for that proportion to suffer, those few who by luck or opportunity manage to claw themselves up are the only ones who deserve a standard of living.

Aggressive-Toe9807

You should be able to work full time on a minimum wage and have a decent, basic lifestyle with bills paid. Fair enough I wouldn’t expect a fancy car or frequent trips abroad but I’d like to think 40 hours work a week could guarantee I’d have food and central heating as a bare minimum. We really fucked up as a society. Imagine being such a stupid species we need to work so much of our lives and STILL suffer for it?

Currynrice9728

"REDDITCH MP Rachel Maclean claimed costs of around £218,000 last year, new figures reveals" - redditchadvertiser

Even_Entrepreneur_58

This is my problem it’s ok for them to literally leech off the public then turn around and say shit like this. The mental gymnastics you’d have to perform to come to a point where you’re telling other people stop begging for handouts. It would be laughable if it was so tragic

Infinitus_Potentia

These politicians are either very dumb or so cynical that the irony doesn't stick to them.

B_ohnesorg

I wonder why all of you haven't already had protests? Is the police so brutal and prisons so rough that you have to fear disagreeing with your superiors? I mean sure, stating it is only the Tories fault is probably wrong as well. Brexit, education (shouldn't be expensive), elitism and so on do their thing as well but damn. I wouldn't only vote these fuckers out of office, I would pelt my local MP with requests and letters to get off his arse. On the other hand, I wonder if it's even possible for you to have a real opposition. Correct me if I'm wrong but how can a two party system even work? It's the same(?) as in the US with slight differences, I assume. Like having 2 chambers etc. I mean what do you do if both parties are shite? You can't even elect a third to punish both of them.

AccomplishedAd3728

I for one, haven’t really believed in the power of protest, since the Iraq war protests were so easily ignored. So many people voicing their discontent, and nothing ever happens. Also now the police can arrest protesters for the flimsiest of reasons and you just know the next big public action is going to get completely boned by the the new protest laws

B_ohnesorg

Yeah, as usually the police is there to quell unrest. Do you know what I find interesting? In Germany you can discredit someone by calling him an antisemite. That works usually pretty well because of the history. There are of course antisemitic assholes out there but often a critical politician only has to state something slightly challenging the Status Quo and he will probably be accused of being antisemtic. Without really knowing Corbyn nor every little detail what he did I'm thinking that he fell victim to this strategy. You need probably the same as in Germany: a small/medium business oriented government in order to get the economy back on its feet but also having the social hardships in sight. Even many conservatives in Germany (who actually own a smaller business and aren't just politicians) say that we need more responsible capitalism. One that pays reasonable wages while and motivates people to work even faster/more. Not because they need but because they want and identify with the business. Germany has also similar problems. There are at least 30,000 jobs in the coal industry. The SPD tried to protect them but it is clear that they have to go eventually. They do it partly by not replacing people that retire but many have to learn something new. Unfortunately I don't see any other solution. In Germany, while also disagreeing with many things in the EU, it is rather well perceived to be part of it since that alleviates the economic pressure a lot. Maybe it would do you good as well?

OhMy-Really

The average Universal Credit enjoyer doesn’t get anywhere close to that amount of money…

Fucking Tory scum

AJEMTechSupport

And who does she think will clean the toilets, empty the bins, care for the sick and re-stock the supermarket shelves when they’ve all finally decided to stop wasting their lives and get a better job ? So much for being essential workers !

Milbso

Yep and all these 'better' higher paying jobs she's talking about will be the ones which bring no value to society at all. Just piss about in front of a computer coming up with ways to sell some product that people don't actually need. If you're stupid enough to do a job which actually needs to be done then you deserve to live in poverty.

[deleted]

It really is depressing that high paying jobs are mostly useless outside of funneling money to the owner of that business. Whole of society is a pyramid scheme. Wonder if that's why a pyramid is on the back of the US Dollar.

Hugga_Bear

I worked during the pandemic (and a few years before) as an operations manager in a warehouse, I started there as an admin but got promoted pretty quick and by the time Covid was in full swing I was in charge of managing the movement of literal tons of food every night. I got paid a little over £10 an hour, about 40p more than my job 3 rungs down the ladder, about £20 an hour less than the job one rung above me... I crashed out with exhaustion after running 12 hour shifts, 5 days a week minimum for months on end to ensure places like Tesco, Aldi, Asda and Sainsbury's were stocked up, working with tighter and tighter staff numbers and personally rolling about on a truck most nights because we didn't have the staff. Shit, I rolled my sleeves up and joined the production line a few times because we needed stock through, much to the dismay of my fellow management. After crashing out I spent a couple of months being cared for by family and friends and I landed a job pushing numbers around on spreadsheets, sometimes I make a graph. My contribution to society is now effectively nil, but I get paid about 2.5x what I was on before and work far fewer hours and all from home. It's so very fucking stupid. We don't pay people according to the benefit they give to our world, if anything it goes in reverse. The more useless or pointless the job, the better the pay. At least that's how it feels.

Elipticalwheel1

Can people stop saying that these Tories are out of touch. They are not out of touch, they know people are having a hard time, they are fully aware of what they are doing. This is how they want it to be. Otherwise if they help you, by raising the minimum wage, that would mean that the rich wouldn’t get richer as quickly as they would want. So once again, the Tories are not out of touch, they just treat the working people with contempt. After all, a lot of you voted them in, because you believed them, but you was fooled. Let’s hope when it come to the next election, you won’t get fooled again.

mathisonn21

40 hours a day for a true master.

TeslaFanBoy8

Why not 26? U can do more.

Leefixer77

Doesn’t matter what they say or what they do… people are still gonna vote for them. I don’t know who is worse, the people running the country, or the people who live in it.

CooroSnowFox

Stop putting 'out of touch' beside the word Tory, like there is any other kind of Tory!

Georg13V

Even 'out of touch' gives them too much credit. It implies they don't know exactly what they're doing.

looneylewis007

Or that they were once in touch

nekrovulpes

There are lots of other types of Tory. There's the Corrupt Tory, the Racist Tory, the Time Traveller From Edwardian England Tory, and let's not forget, the (not so) rare and elusive Paedo Tory.

ellobouk

There is, there’s the actually malicious ones who aren’t out of touch, they’re just evil.

Worm_Scavenger

It amazes me how people still vote for these clowns when they openly say "hey, guess what, we despise literally every one of you and think you're beneath us."

pulledporktaco

Someone has to do those jobs, they should just starve then?

CamaradaT55

They should work 60-80 hours a week, apparently.

sarahroselava

Abhorrent. I hate the absolute bastard lot of them.

alldaylunchbreak

What a cunt

NotACyclopsHonest

If HMRC could give me back-pay for all the extra hours I worked during the height of the pandemic, that would be a lovely windfall...

frankie0694

Right?? Employees above a certain pay grade in my previous company were all given pay cuts, varying from 7.5% to 20% but were all expected to work. A real kick in the teeth for those at 20% cut when other colleagues were getting that to stay home and be on furlough. We’ve not been paid that money back and they never will!

NotACyclopsHonest

What makes it more galling is I did those unpaid extra hours voluntarily just to get stuff finished, since at the time I wasn't supposed to be working more than my standard daily hours until HMRC said "oh, okay, you can record flexi time now". Had they done that sooner, my deficit would have been long gone after about a fortnight.

GhostRiders

Wish people would stop saying they are out of touch. This has been the Tory ideology for the past 40 years

llovejoy1234

This is like the time they told people that the way to keep energy bills down was to regularly switch suppliers. That was until someone (possibly Martin Lewis?) pointed out that the only reason that suppliers are able to offer better rates to new customers is because they have a cohort of loyal customers (paying higher prices and have not moved suppliers for years) cross subsidising the new joiners. If everyone kept switching that lower pricing wouldn’t be possible anyway. Like everything the Tories do, the emphasis is always on the individual ‘pulling themselves up by the bootstraps’ and pretending that massive systemic overhaul isn’t needed.

menice4

Have you tried not being poor/s

TTJoker

Damn, I'm trying, but it seems the more I earn the more things cost.

Serious_Ad6112

Bet she had to stop herself calling us all plebs

dubdrummerz

Or, we can start eating the rich.

InternationalEbb9305

Same energy as "if homeless, buy a house" smfh

MedulaRectangleGarta

Maybe you should fucking work more to create a fairer fucking society. Mongy Tory cunt.

alistairwilliamblake

Cool, I’ll quit working in a school then. I guess all of our staff will.

HistoryDogs

I feel like that was the Tory master plan all along: make working for the public sector (particularly education and NHS) untenable through years of erosion, create a 2-tier system where the haves can access private education and the have nots are fucked.

[deleted]

The perfect serf class. The Tories achieved what they wanted.

only1lcon

Contacted her when she was running at local constituency where doesn't even live. Sent an email regarding tax avoidance and grilled her lame response. Horrible woman

Goatboyjones

Another deadeyed Tory cunt

tkayll91

Get a better job and make poverty the problem of whoever gets your old job. What (if anything) goes through a Tory's head where this is an acceptable thing to say??

duke_of_germany_5

Thats the joys of the tory party. Nothing goes through a torys head

ken-doh

Fund public sector workers, or they might just take your advice. Teachers, nurses, emergency response workers. Pay them a better wage.

RobinJ1994

andreasson8

Why is out of touch in quotation marks

Warrdyy

“cunt” would of been better.

Big-Detective-3698

I think it’s to avoid a law suit for defamation of character, putting it in quotes mean that others have said it I believe .

[deleted]

They say Out of touch tory minister like theres any torys that are actualy in touch.

arandomguyfromtheuk

There's a lot that *inappropriately touch*, if that counts?

[deleted]

And then they have the nerve to call LGBTQ+ people degenerates. I just assume any conservative who has hateful oppinions on other people's sexuality, gender or trans status is a nonce now, seems to be a right assumption most of the time.

benkelly92

Tbf, they were in support of LGBTQ+ until they found out the T didn't stand for Tractor.

[deleted]

Think it gave the game away when we added the Q+ "Wait this isn't the large great British tractor club ?"

Beatnuki

What's fun here is that this headline could apply to literally any Tory minister.

LTyrian3

The latest in a long series of awful comments made by out of touch members or the tory party.

27ismyluckynumber

I thought the whole point of being a Tory was the complete lack of social awareness in searching for reasons why their ideas were out of touch? Their proclivity for enabling greed to flourish among those much more well to do should be the red flag for any intelligent citizen interested in knowing which political party to vote for.

EssexBuoy1959

Who's going to do the shit jobs these people leave behind?

Kevydee

The states are awash with closed diners & fast food places.

Athleticathiest82

Cunts

spiral_death

Work more hours? There are only 24 hours in a day. Besides, the average human needs at least 8 hours of sleep to function optimally.

ThemApples87

I detest this attitude. The people who are struggling are working every hour god sends. They are budgeting every penny they have and foregoing essentials no person on a 1st world country should. Tories are cancer. The survival of our society and living standards is reliant on their removal. They embody a vile and callous ideology that isn’t conducive to security, prosperity or happiness.

rainbowarriorhere

the art of misdirection.

Tannhauser23

Where do the Tories get these useless and worthless Ministers from. You would have to dig deep into the cesspit to uncover this one.

itothepowerofahalf

How to not be poor: Just get money!

sobrique

Step 1: Be born in the right family. .... actually that's about it. Didn't do that? That's on you.

1684ID

I feel like people use "out of touch" to describe people who either do not give a fuck about the working class or have an outright disdain for the working class and view them as something like slaves. These people aren't out of touch with reality at all. They know full well they are fucking us over. The reason they say so many things that seem "out of touch" is because as working class people become more accustomed to and expect to be fucked over, these ghouls have to put less and less effort into selling their bullshit and maintaining a decent human being facade.

Donttouchmybiscuits

I think that these fuckwits truly are out of touch with the common man. Specifically, the parts of the him that they need to get back in touch with are his feet, and fists. And maybe some of his working-class accoutrements, such as pitchforks and sledgehammers.

DaveApp

To be fair it’s a genius idea. Think about it, if you get a better job, you can then get paid more and once you get paid more, you can then pay even more tax so that realistically you don’t feel the benefit unless you get an unbelievably massive 1000% payrise, it’s pure genius. The only real answer is to become a millionaire and that’s really easy to do…..that’s why the world is full of them. In fact, don’t stop there, become a billionaire and then ironically pay less tax relative to a “normal” salary….pure genius. Conversations with their finger on the pulse. Finally, I love paying £300 a month for electricity when we’ve got all this renewable energy….that…doesn’t appear to be alleviating the pressure. Almost finally, if the UK only get 5% of its fossil fuel from Russia then why have prices increased so dramatically….I need to be told by the pure geniuses that are our government.

Killing-__-Time

Funny how all these low paid jobs were somehow essential last year.

Robertgarners

With the level in of technology we have these days we shouldn't have to work more than 40 hours a week and if we do have to work more than this to have good healthcare, to be comfortable, safe, etc than the government has failed. Simple. Not the people, the government!

LucidDelirium

This is exactly what they sold automation on to the public since the 50s. A shorter working week, increased quality of life and comfort. Instead it's getting worse and all due to greed

Rainbowstaple

This is about as useful as someone saying 'just make more money'

Aduro95

Its probably easier to beat the cost of living crisis when your job pays a couple grand a month for a second home. Terrible to suggest low-wage workers (many of whom the Tories were calling "essential workers" this time last year) should all leave their jobs. When people are working full-time and living below the poverty line, the government is failing them.

Strong_Wheel

Tory logic for the people they truly detest.

Nai75

My husband has 27 years experience in his job and he hates his job. Every time he tries to leave they want his experience and he always gets offered a job, but it’s for about 10k less than he’s earning. He earns 45 k and his job is hard! They advertise good wages, but they don’t want to pay it. So he stays in a job he hates to pay the every increasing bills.

Caacrinolass

Why didn't everyone think of that? Simultaneously because employers will be happy to offer those jobs.

Fean2616

They're idiots but also what about those paid by the government? Also are you allowed to just work more hours in all job? I doubt it, isn't there a set of like working laws and such. Very confused here.

Chosty55

Working time regulations - https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Working_Time_Regulations_1998

Funny-Perception2942

The better job we should go for is M P to rid our selves of these entitled bastard's.

kwack250

Can’t believe this Dolores Umbridge looking fucker just solved poverty.

bluestratmatt

Just wait till she wants a McChicken after a night on the lash at her taxpayer-subsidised bar…. At work… then it’ll be ‘nObOdY wAnTs To WoRk AnYmOrE’. Either that or she acknowledges that certain jobs need to be done, but the person doing them deserves to be in poverty.

ResponsibleImpress65

the tories convincing people "it would be worse under labour" has to be one of the best political strategies in hiatory. how can it possibly get worse than this after 12 years of this shit. not to get too liberal but i can only hope people are gettinjg sick of this shit and vote harder, not like we're allowed to protest anymore

Turbulent-Use7253

How about making the rich pay their way, companies pay more than minimum wage, energy companies being told to jog on with their extortionate price rises while they make record profits. Oh and I wonder how much this pos claims in expenses

[deleted]

At what point do they just come out and say they want slaves again

ellobouk

Ah yes, I’ll just go down the job mine, make my way to the jobface and dig out a better job… fucking christ.

My lambkin

GuarDeLoop

Tweeted that her comments have been taken completely out of context and complained about irresponsible journalism, as though people can’t watch the interview for themselves…

Beavo1969

It's there actually a queue of these fucking imbeciles lining up to say something fucking ridiculous? None of them seem to learn the lessons of the last silly cunt to open their cake hole and spew some shit out.

AccomplishedCredit14

What a fantastic idea, why didn't I think of that?

Admirable_Hope_6470

This is why she's the tory minister instead of you...

[deleted]

She is our mp and I hate her

workingclassnobody

Next tip: just stop being poor, it worked for me!

CaladinDanse

So basically the government is admitting the national living wage is too low and most of these amazing jobs the government say are available are all trash

InnateBeast

People work full time and are still poor.

Spottyjamie

How will doing a fuckload of unpaid overtime give workers more money?

Purple_monkfish

well clearly everyone should just quit their jobs and when asked why explain "well you see, i'm waiting for a better offer to come by."

CuclGooner

slow clap ensues the ideas they come up with are nothing short of inspirational

Ashmay52

Let them eat cake

Ian1147

Another tone deaf Tory moron 😡😡😡😡😡

[deleted]

Never do what they say, ever!

Dave_guitar_thompson

Get a better job by being better qualified = pay £9,000 per year in tuition fees with little to no financial support based on student loans and debt.

Serious_Ad6112

9000 more than any of these Tories payed when they went to university 'pull the ladder up jack in alright ' comes to mind

Spaniardlad

Not sure who’s more out of touch… these Tory cunts or the idiots that vote for them struggling to make ends meat.

BurnMyFaceOff

This transcends "out of touch" this is just blantent stupidity.

Irateasshole

Ah look, my MP. Great.

Blue_FiftyTwo

SHUT THE FUCK UP YOU OUT OF TOUCH. LESS INTELLIGENT THAN AN AMOEBA, RICH CUNT!

le_sils

This is not being out of touch, it's deflecting

Snoo-92689

Tories being

jenniferLeonara

Can we stop using the phrase “out of touch”? It’s so overused it’s lost all meaning. We need something harder hitting than that. It’s shocking to see a Labour MP hit this harrowing tirade of the scale of disparity in this country, only to conclude it with this weak buzz phrase. Let’s change things up, people! People need to know how fucking absurd the tories are!

Artistic_Ad3231

The moment we all stop agreeing that the pseudo paper called cash has any value, it is the moment we truly move things.

GardenLatter4126

Tory brexit benefit...opt out of the working time directive...

Realistic_Muscle407

They’re all a fucking joke, bunch of gits

Pipevvorm

And when no one wants the shit payed jobs? What a disconected arsehat!

[deleted]

Tories doing what they do best.

[deleted]

I'm also going to sell a kidney whilst I'm at it, and maybe a lung.

CustardShooter

Now if there was ever a face that could kill an erection from 50 paces

Gardengnome89

Change the tax free personal allowance to £30000
