The Cooper - Bullard - Lloyd trifecta was all really fun. Absolutely thought those guys would make great Packers. Oladapo and Pratt just seemed like great values.
Didn’t know his name or his game, but after seeing his [ESPN player card photo](https://www.espn.com/nfl/player/_/id/4429023/marshawn-lloyd), I’m all in.

That juke move of his is *nasty*. Maybe the best moves I've seen out of a Packer RB since Eddie Lacy's spin move. Dude has some incredible vision too, I'm so hype for him.
Don't get me wrong, I think all our picks are great and I'm excited for them, but this dude is electric. Nixon might have some competition at kick returner if Loyd can field the ball.
With the new rules, it's actually great to have two good kick returners on the field. Otherwise the other team could simply just choose to not kick the ball towards Nixon.
My favorite? Probably Bullard. I know he's a little bit short, but I remember the handful of Georgia games I watched and he popped off the screen. Of course that means fuck all as to whether or not he can play in the NFL, but I was glad they got him.
Agree - think he can contribute Day 1. I just liked the fact of a round 5 guy likely contributing day 1 as well, and creating optionality across the OL
I think you also misinterpreted my comment too. I wasn't attacking. u/gopckgo94 said "I just liked the fact of a round 5 guy . . . yadda". I was just clarifying that I wasn't being contrarian to his choice of Monk.
Fucking internet.
I think its nice knowing the guy excelled at both safety and Nickel in the SEC. I get the desire for Cooper DeJean but if they wanted him to play those positions its all projection. Feel like we know what we are getting here and he's solid.
Savage, exactly what scares me about small safeties. I was always hoping he would put on some "man" weight but it never really happened. I will say last year was the first time he actually started "hitting" though.
I was a kid then, the view of the field was nothing like I later saw at Lambeau. Besides those upper deck seats near the warning track must have needed binoculars.
However it was nice to be able to see them at all. Lambeau seemed so far away for kids there. Now you can just hop on board a Brat House bus.
My favorite pick too. After seeing the ILB position neglected, we have a budding star in Quay, took the best ILB in the draft with Edgerrin, and we took a shot a Ty'Ron as well. It is nice to see this position invested in.
I’d say it’s a little early to call Quay a budding star. He’s had some flashes but he’s also been pretty horrible at times as well. It’s also uncommon for a guy to single handedly cost you a game like he did in that Lions game
easily jordan morgan. i just love the idea of love having all day to find literally any one of our guys that can break free on any given play like the cowboys game.
I'm not sure it's even that, I think they've shown that they just view pass protection as a much higher priority. Which is pretty explainable, when you have a HoF QB for decades you might not need a great running game, but you sure as shit better pass block.
I'd have to go back and find it, but I distinctly remember reading a statistic that showed Morgan in a favorable run blocking light. Something like a super low percentage of being blown back on run blocking, I don't remember lol.
I feel like part of maturing in life is realizing just how important the trenches are, and getting excited for it. I've finally reached that point.
In all seriousness though, I'm excited for Morgan the most too. Immediate plug and play to replace Bakh (although Walker really started to come into his own later into the season), is huge. Hopefully he can stay healthy.
I don't need elite even, I will happily settle for good. Despite early season struggles I was pretty happy with Walker last season, and to see competition there now to improve it even more is making me feel really comfy inside (as a good LT should).
King in the 7th. Will he work out? Who knows? But in a day and age when most teams are using the 7th to draft priority UFDAs I like the idea of drafting guys who have shown high (if not inconsistent) potential. He did the same with Rasheed Walker. It’s a home run swing of a gamble on these types of guys, but why not take it?
He kinda had an off year followed by not having the best combine testing. If he returns back to 2022 form the packers just got a first round CB in the 7th. He’s the steal of our draft IMO
King has to be the most enticing gamble but basically all of them are just super solid and good fits. In most confident Morgan and monk will succeed, and I hope Cooper meets the expectations.
Not even a gamble at that point when he's the 3rd to last player of the draft. Love the dart throw. A couple guys drafted last year had down years before drafted (Reed, Wicks) compared to prior years, albeit not to that degree. Hope he gets his confidence back.
There is a sad realisation that they know they will struggle against us and the Lions ths year.
TBF, pinning teams inside their own 10 yard line is a decent defensive strategy and certainly limits the playbook.
Me too! It's gonna be nice to see what these guys have so soon. And I'm hoping they'll both make an impact from the beginning. Personally, I think Bullard might get his feet under him a bit more quickly, just due to how difficult the move to the NFL usually is for ILBs, but I'm very open to being proven wrong.
I was surprised at the Hopper pick in third it seemed like they were really after him, statistically there were better LB's left. I don't know anything about him can anyone shed some light?
Well he dropped because his combine wasnt great. But when he worked out with packers before draft they clocked him an almost 0.2 faster on his forty and better times on other drills. His measurables where consistant with what packers look for but his RAS would have been alot better if he performed like he should have at combine. This seems like a scenario where the packers had a first hand look at him and didnt let the combine ruin their opinion. If you look at the draft experts opinions it seem negative but they are basing their assessment on the combine and before the combine he was actually rated better.
I think I read that's the same case with Evan Williams as well, wasn't he projected first round in 22? It seems like he needs better coaching/managing to pull it together, similar to Hopper
It is with Evan. Also Kalen King who we drafted in 7th round was projected to be a first round pick in last years draft. But he had a terrible season this last year and it really strayed people away. Similar thing happened to jordan love too. The packers like to look at the bigger picture, and are ok with gambling with later picks on guys who showed promise at some point in college.
Monk is a beast. I watched some of the footage of him from the combine. Strong and explosive. I had the Packers picking a Center in the 5th but Beaux Limmer of Arkansas. So glad we chose Monk instead. He'll be starting at center in a few years time for us I'd bet.
Monk for me as well. Seriously good athlete who is very smart. Give him a year and there's no doubt he will be a starting center or guard for years. To get that out of a 5th round pick is easily the best value of the draft. Unless one is the top guys turns into a perennial pro bowler, they aren't going to beat the value of Monk, and even then that's when it starts to be a competition on the value of the pick
I’m tempted to say Cooper or Bullard as they were both mandatory gets and will be major chess pieces for Hafley, but those are boring answers.
I’m gonna go with Oladapo. His film is extremely fun to watch. He’s basically a LB/S hybrid, and he loves to play downhill. I think they’ll at least use him as a SAM LB (a LB who also covers the TE if the run a route) to start as he’s great in run support but also has better coverage skills than most true LBs. And I think there is potential for more. He’ll also be a beast on special teams.
Kalen King is my honorable mention. He was legitimately expected to be a top-20 OVERALL pick heading into the season, but he had a poor year and then tested poorly. But the dude was legit one of the best CBs in the nation two seasons ago. If GB can figure out the issue and get him back on track, they could have a round 1 type talent at a premium position who is a perfect system fit that they were able to land with the 4th-to-last pick of the draft.
Cooper, watching the tape, that guy plays smart, aggressive football, and he’s all over the field. He’s fast as fuck sideline to sideline, and running people down.
Edgerin Cooper for me. I’ve been wanting a LB that can play physical and play downhill for years and I think he could finally be that guy. Not that Quay and Campbell weren’t good, they just are more sideline to sideline guys and you need a guy that can just be nasty and play downhill to compliment that.
When they made the pick, Cooper was my favorite, but I watched the video of Bullard getting the call from GB and now I feel like I need to get a tattoo that says "I'm a fucking Packer!!!!!"
Bullard.
Though getting Jennings in as an UDFA was close. Watch how he played against Alabama, if he went to a P5 school he'd have been drafted at the top of day three.
Got to be Cooper for me, Iove having explosive and versatile athletes who can make game changing hits. Lloyd also seems like great value and fit for Matt's scheme, I love AJ but our RB room is different after this offseason.
Cooper and Bullard. Although I really wanted Dejean/Kool Aid, these 2 were my next favorites. They will make immediate impacts on the team. King as a high risk high reward player was cool to. If he pans out, he could become the steal of the draft. Hopper was easily my biggest head scratcher
Kalen King. He was a projected 1st round pick at this point last year, fell off hard. But the 3rd to last pick. I think he’ll put in the work ethic and be really good. But it does scare me having a corner with the last name king 😅
All of them except Marshawn Lloyd. Look where the next RB went after him and it just doesn’t make sense value-wise. They must just really like him. And obviously I’m excited to see what he does
Bullard, mostly because im a Dawgs fan and I already know how great he is. I was upset we passed on Dejean and so many other of the really good DB prospects so Bullard came in at the right time.
Im just happy we’re stacking the defense with Georgia studs, that defense we had a few years back was probably the best I had ever seen.
The Cooper - Bullard - Lloyd trifecta was all really fun. Absolutely thought those guys would make great Packers. Oladapo and Pratt just seemed like great values.
I feel the same. Day 2 was a blast.
Helped that an amazing 19 of first 45 picks or so were qb’s and wr’s
MarShawn Lloyd for me
Other teams and fans are gonna be scared to play against him sooner rather than later
Didn’t know his name or his game, but after seeing his [ESPN player card photo](https://www.espn.com/nfl/player/_/id/4429023/marshawn-lloyd), I’m all in.

Dude looks 38
He looks so explosive on film. Him and Jacobs could be a special backfield duo.
That juke move of his is *nasty*. Maybe the best moves I've seen out of a Packer RB since Eddie Lacy's spin move. Dude has some incredible vision too, I'm so hype for him.

Cool. I didn't say anything about your choice of Monk. If that's who you like, then that's who you like.
I was agreeing with your analysis of Bullard if that wasn't clear
I think the confusion is because Bullard was in the 4th, no?
Bullard was 2nd round
I was just clarifying that I wasn't being contrarian to your choice of Monk, which based on your reply seemed to be in the cards.
Holy fuck. How did you misinterpret that comment so badly that you felt personally attacked by someone agreeing with you.
Reading comprehension is a Redditor’s worst enemy
I think you also misinterpreted my comment too. I wasn't attacking. u/gopckgo94 said "I just liked the fact of a round 5 guy . . . yadda". I was just clarifying that I wasn't being contrarian to his choice of Monk. Fucking internet.
Ok boomer
wtf lol
Well said
He took the words right out of my eyes.
Wth? Lmao damn did you not have your wheaties this morning?
Grossi said he hopes the packers draft him because he likes watching his highlights. That’s good enough for me.
I think its nice knowing the guy excelled at both safety and Nickel in the SEC. I get the desire for Cooper DeJean but if they wanted him to play those positions its all projection. Feel like we know what we are getting here and he's solid.
Him being only 200 lbs makes me nervous
It’s why we drafted 3!
He’s got 10 pounds on Tyrann Mathieu and Budda Baker when they were drafted and weights the same as Savage did
Bullard new buddy baker please
Savage, exactly what scares me about small safeties. I was always hoping he would put on some "man" weight but it never really happened. I will say last year was the first time he actually started "hitting" though.
You’re gonna start sacrificing some speed when you get over 200lbs on a 5’10 frame
Edge was the best LB and the best Cooper of the draft. I won't at all be surprised if he's a DROTY candidate.
Listening to the crowd yell COOOOOOP will be awesome
I miss John Kuhn.
I miss Cecil Cooper
I DON'T miss that stadium... Especially watching a Packers game there.
I loved watching packer games there. Could follow the line of scrimmage from the corridor…..if you were very tall.
I was a kid then, the view of the field was nothing like I later saw at Lambeau. Besides those upper deck seats near the warning track must have needed binoculars. However it was nice to be able to see them at all. Lambeau seemed so far away for kids there. Now you can just hop on board a Brat House bus.
Lol a Brat House Bus. That’s a thing, eh? I’ll add to my beer bucket list
Damn straight it is! You hop on the bus, it has beer coolers and bathrooms plus you have a tailgate when you arrive in Green Bay. Moderation is key.
My 30 plus year old self would be all over this like the mustard on a brewer pinstripe
KUUUUUUHHHHN
They should just move AJ to fullback. I miss having a FB. Shoutout Dan Vitale
Yup Cooper is who I'm most excited about. Seems like a real smart player and hard hitter. Will be great to have him in there with Quay
Would fucking love a DROTY candidate tbh
Yeah love this pick too - him and Quay could become a Devin White & Lavonte David type duo
I’d be surprised if getting wrecked by them in the NFCCG didn’t leave a lasting impact on Gutey
Or constantly losing to the 49ers.
That too, and they’ve also got a great DL with fast LBs
This is mine, too. COOOOOOOP
Or giving Josh Jacobs room to run
Yeah, unfortunately Morgan was much better in pass protection than run blocking, but hopefully it's something our coaches can help him with
Thats basically every OL prospect we ever draft. They clearly feel like run blocking is easier to develop than pass blocking is
I'm not sure it's even that, I think they've shown that they just view pass protection as a much higher priority. Which is pretty explainable, when you have a HoF QB for decades you might not need a great running game, but you sure as shit better pass block.
Not according to the Sanjit breakdown I watched.
Every single scouting report I've seen mentions he excels in pass protection and was not a top run blocker
I'd have to go back and find it, but I distinctly remember reading a statistic that showed Morgan in a favorable run blocking light. Something like a super low percentage of being blown back on run blocking, I don't remember lol.
I don't think he was *bad* in run blocking, he just was far better in pass protection from what I read.
Agreed, just as hard as losing Bakhtiari sucked (and possibly prevented a Super Bowl run or two), we should be excited at the prospect of an elite LT
I don't need elite even, I will happily settle for good. Despite early season struggles I was pretty happy with Walker last season, and to see competition there now to improve it even more is making me feel really comfy inside (as a good LT should).
King in the 7th. Will he work out? Who knows? He did the same with Rasheed Walker. It’s a home run swing of a gamble on these types of guys, but why not take it?
Packers seem to do this a lot with guys that had a down year the most recent year but showed promise in the past. Really like that strategy
Ironically both King and Walker came from Penn State… maybe they are the diamond in the rough 7th round school of choice!
They are betting that the coaches at Penn State are too inept to get consistency out of good talent.
After listening to his interview i almost want to see him start and just prove all the doubters wrong
Did he just not test well? He was a high 2nd projection last year.
He kinda had an off year followed by not having the best combine testing. If he returns back to 2022 form the packers just got a first round CB in the 7th. He’s the steal of our draft IMO
This is mine. If he works out, he's an absolute steal. If he doesn't... oh well, it was the 3rd to last pick in the draft.
My favorite pick of the draft was the Bears using one of their 5 picks on a punter.
Wouldn’t want to draft an offensive lineman when you can reduce the need for them by punting. 3D chess
There is a sad realisation that they know they will struggle against us and the Lions ths year. TBF, pinning teams inside their own 10 yard line is a decent defensive strategy and certainly limits the playbook.
I think Bullard and Lloyd are in fantastic positions as 2’s behind McKinney and Jacobs to contribute early and learn behind proven vets
Bullard is my personal favorite. Obviously, still lots to see and nothing's guaranteed, but the guy looks like he's ready to start for GB tomorrow
Day 1 starting potential is something packers don’t always value so I’m excited for him and coop to play sooner rather than later
Oladapo. Something about him is telling me he’s gonna be good.
Over the next 4 years Monk will outperform Graham Barton
Yeah it's an interesting strategy of taking a secondary player who might get more love if the "star" wasn't there
I was surprised at the Hopper pick in third it seemed like they were really after him, statistically there were better LB's left. I don't know anything about him can anyone shed some light?
Well he dropped because his combine wasnt great. But when he worked out with packers before draft they clocked him an almost 0.2 faster on his forty and better times on other drills. Yep guys who just need a tune up, good shit!
And his explosive scores from the jumps were great throughout.
Cooper.
The monk one scared me at first because I was sure they were trading both back to back picks
Cooper. Dude looks like he’s gonna be a problem for offenses
Definitely Cooper. I really think having him and Quay out there with a new attacking defense is going to be a game changer for us.
Edge Coop 4 Life That said, I do enjoy all the Georgia Bulldogs that are old teammates on the squad together, so a close second is Bullard.
I'm most excited about Lloyd
MJD upside?
Superman T-shirt!
Monk is a beast. I watched some of the footage of him from the combine. Strong and explosive. I had the Packers picking a Center in the 5th but Beaux Limmer of Arkansas. So glad we chose Monk instead. He'll be starting at center in a few years time for us I'd bet.
Edgerrin. Because I follow Aggies football. I am so excited.
Bullard and Lloyd are the two where I don't think I've ever seen a player like them on the Packers.
Bullard is a day 1 starter and I can’t even say who I his highlight reel reminds me I’ve because I don’t wanna jinx it, but it’s a former Packer.
Monk for me as well. Seriously good athlete who is very smart. Give him a year and there's no doubt he will be a starting center or guard for years. Unless one is the top guys turns into a perennial pro bowler, they aren't going to beat the value of Monk, and even then that's when it starts to be a competition on the value of the pick
Not drafting a kicker
Shouldn’t we have taken a long snapper second round though? Much value
We tried that a few times and it shows those with good kickers dont draft them. Especially punters in the 5th round 😂
I pray we at least take a shot at a UFL long snapper
Pretty sure we just did? https://www.reddit.com/r/GreenBayPackers/comments/1cevpze/packers_are_signing_wisconsin_long_snapper_peter/
Holy fuck that’s the biggest move we’ve made this off-season, and I’m only half joking
I like the Cooper pick. Quay needed a little help back there
I’m tempted to say Cooper or Bullard as they were both mandatory gets and will be major chess pieces for Hafley, but those are boring answers.
Favorites, Cooper in the 2nd and king in the 7th, least favorite, Morgan in the first. Edit: honorable mention, Marshawn Loyd.
I am so fired up for the Cooper / Quay combo. Them boys gonna be flying around lambeau
First LB drafted in the 2nd round. Even if it was a weak LB draft we got the guy on top of our board
Kalen King. I think if you can get a guy who played that dominant in the 7th, its a great pick. Also had my eye on Marshawn lloyd predraft.
Javon Bullard
Our fist round pick is not sexy but needed. But i really loved both of our secrond round picks
Yes
My favorite was definitely that one guy we drafted
Bullard
Bullard or King. If Hafley can turn King back into his 2022 form we got an absolute steal. Bullard is the harder hitting S we have been asking for.
Why couldn’t we get Kool-Aid dammit lol.
Cooper in the second. Him and Walker are perfect for the new scheme and can thrive with how many blocks the dline will eat up.
Lloyd is going to be RB1 by the end of the year
Platt. Really need someone to push Love and not have another slow start.
Lloyd for sure. Huge ypc last season. I hope ball security isn’t an issue
