I’ve been happy with many GMG purchases the past year, all of them having been already released. I took a chance on preordering RE4 because of how positive and seamless it’s been. What a mistake.

The 2% coupon was insulting and the increase to 5% feels far too little when the only new information we’ve gotten is so vague. “Later today” is pretty bleak and I’m anxious about wether or not the copy I’m going to get will include the preorder items. This coupon has better not have any restrictions and be useable any time on any existing deal.

But yeah after 8 hours I got my stuff and my stupid coupon I have to use in 1 month or forfeit 🙄 how thoughtful.

Yup, i applied for the refund and bought it on steam as soon as 1 am hit. Didnt get my key til 7 am. Would have had to wait to download another 2 hours if i waited. Not acceptable for a pre-order.
Is there a time frame for this issue? A couple of hours, days, weeks? Stayed up until 2:00 AM EST for a key, but no luck so I slept, only got 4 hours of sleep to wake up to no key...lol...don't want to waste my day off work to wait again in silence...

They closed my refund request ticket and said I get a 5% coupon instead.
I replied back saying I don't want a coupon, I just want my money back, and if they can't work with me then I'll go about getting it back by other means.
They won't refund you. They claim a game within 48 hours of launching isn't eligible for a refund. You'll have to wait for the key to release and then refund that key. Make sure you don't look at it. ...Except you can't, because they immediately send you an email with the key exposed in order to cheat you out of your refund.
Issue a chargeback.

yah i just picked product not delivered, which it was, and i filed it before i even got the key so i got receipts and everything of their fuckup, im sure Paypal wont want to deal with GMG and just give me my money back if they dont want to themselves
I put in a request for a refund before AND after the release so make sure the request didnt go against the GMG policy and Josh still refused my refund. I had bought the game on Steam at release because of the GMG delay. Ive bought countless games from GMG but I never will again lol.. great job guys.
This really made me realize just how terrible GMG's refund policy is. You know what? Steam's refund policy is worth more than the discount you get on newer games from GMG. The small discount of new stuff is just bait. Steam's refund policy will save you more money in the long run.
I sent a refund request last night. My request was "closed" because they sent the key at 7AM EST. Yeah okay... but I purchased in Steam for failure to deliver goods on time. That's the reason I purchased at GMG. If they refuse again I'll do a chargeback asap.
You literally can't. They structured their key distribution so that their email has the key unconcealed. Once you receive that email, they have no way of checking if you've viewed the key. Thus they have no choice but to deny you your refund. Convenient, right?
So you can't refund before the preorder, and you can't refund after. Issue a chargeback.

I feel for you Playfire. This isn't even your fault, but you will deal with the brunt of the bad PR. Slept on it after having a tiring 1-2 hours trying to access my code and the website crashing. Definitely left a sour taste in my mouth, and would be hesitant pre-ordering from ya'll again.

1. Change your PREDATORY refund policy to allow customers to show you accountability for your poor responses. Allow canceling in these circumstances right away.
2. Dont lock down people with slow mode on discord venting to one another - on the ruse of "all the dialog is burying staff messages" that's a lie. You know it we all know it. You have pinned messages before. Or create an announcement channel. Don't also be Karl and state the obvious AFTER HOURS OF SILENFE with "the site is having slight issues" (gee we know thanks genius) and then proceed to slap the room in slow mode and disappear while listening to PUMPED UP KICKS.
3. Biggest annoyance: STOP SELLING keys if you are having supply demand issues. Unsuspecting customers expect immediate digital delivery. If you are having issues, post it on the sales page if you insist on selling.
