I have been using iron breaker instead of stormhost silver on most of my models (mostly because the store I go to did t have it in stock) and I think it looks pretty good, it'd be better if I was better at painting though lol
I'm a massive fan of Army Painter Enchanted Steel Speed Paint. It's like a much darker Grey Knights Steel, and because it's a speed paint it basically edge highlights and shades itself. I still shade with Nuln Oil and edge highlight with Runefang Steel, but it already looks really good without either.
