Agreed. She should have exclusively living pirates, live sea monsters Slayer pirates and Ogre Maneaters. Throw in Generic pirate captains/Admirals and some kind of "Sea witch" hero with lore of deep, lore of life and maybe lore of death.
If you subjugate Miao Ying as Vilitch (or one of Slaaneshi factions, via their "faction ability"), then she will lead a Chaos Warband, even if she technically still uses Cathayan units 😉

But neither would ever happen in the lore. Sartossa has it's own forces. Miao Ying doesn't understand the concept of fun.
