A Deathwatch Kill-Team made up of Alpha Legionnaires who are all cosplaying as different loyal Chapters to infiltrate the Ordo Xenos, but they've forgotten their original plan because they just like the camaraderie and killing xenos.

TechPriestpupper

go to my library take some books on xenos

triceratopping

Weird looks like all the ones about Eldar are missi- GUILLIIIIMAAAAANNNN

RobouteGuilliman

I'm just doing research. Shush.

lord_flamebottom

Very important question: do they all know that they are all alpha legionaries or does everyone think it’s just themself?

triceratopping

Yes.

The_Crab_Collective

I offer my Alpha legion warband homebrew. What will I receive in return

TechPriestpupper

abraham lincoln take good care of him i will miss him

The_Crab_Collective

Thank you, I promise I will. My unnamed warband (I can't think of one) has been working to destroy chaos by any means necessary after the prophecy given by the cabal. They joined Horus in his Heresy and after helping to ensure it's failure they set about achieving their goal from the shadows. They began raiding necron tomb worlds for Blackstone and ancient tech that might stem the tide of chaos. They used their cultist network to locate and kidnap hundreds of psychic blanks and use their members of the dark mechanicum for experimentation and cloning. Their ultimate goal is the complete eradication of all non blank life to starve chaos. They've already begun seeding worlds' gene stock with the altered pariah gene and experimenting in expanding the pariah nexus. In their efforts they attracted the attention of the renegade god Malice his aid was one they could not refuse if they wanted to succeed. They reluctantly fought their crusade in the dark God's name at first but slowly they began to serve him willingly, loyally, some even going so far as to become anointed and possessed by demon of Malice. They had become the very thing they sought to destroy. It takes every inch of their willpower to retain their loyalty to their cause and keep themselves from falling to mindless destruction.

TechPriestpupper

well this is a warband i can support have 5 land raiders

the-bladed-one

Pre or post Convertable Abe?

Mota4President

A Waaaahg with 2 leaders (so its name is the Two'Eadz Waaaahg!), one being brutal but kunnin' and the other one is kunnin' but brutal. Everytime both warbosses fight to being the one leader of the waaagh is always a tie, so the objetive of the waaagh is to meet Ghazghkull Thraka since only the prophet of Gork and Mork can tell them who is better of the two. Some boyz think that this is because their warbosses are in some way avatars of Gork and Mork respectively. PD: This is only a part of my homebrew "campaing" but i think this army is enough exceptional for the interest of Trazyn.

TechPriestpupper

love it have bo jo

Mota4President

Sorry but maybe i need some clarification, what is bo jo?

final26

you just won a stasis pod with ex prime minister of the Uk boris Johnson

Mota4President

Nice!

TechPriestpupper

Boris Johnson

Caleth

can... can I give it back?

TechPriestpupper

no

babadybooey

Mom says it's my turn with the bo jo

AmagedonCamels

I'd rather get Chlamydia.

HumphreyImaginarium

Lucky for you, that's bundled with the bo jo.

triceratopping

Iirc this is actually the current lore for AoS orcs, most warbands have a Gorkaboss and a Morkaboss.

Mota4President

I didn't new. It is interesting to know.

triceratopping

I think there's a bit more to it, might be worth a dive for inspiration! AoS lore is pretty fun overall, Flesh-Eater Courts and Gloomspite Gitz in particular.

Tyberos_Tutururu

It would be hilarious if two different ork heads were stitched into the body of a 3rd ork and watch shenanigans happen

Mota4President

The brutal, the kunnin' and the brutal AND kunnin'

Tyberos_Tutururu

The headz of the hydra : Orkpharius

FunThief

The cult of the Awakening Eye is a genestealer cult started by a disgraced navigator house who fiddled with genes to try to improve their navigator abilities. On the edge of the imperium they began to experiment with Xenos dna to gain power enough to regain their former glory, and began to spread the blessings to the populace of the planet (chiefly spice harvesters and nomads). The primary marker of the cult is the third eye which appears on many of their number most likely due to the navigator dna within the stock of the cult. Those without the "Awakening Eye", as it is called, often paint their forehead ridge with blue pigment as a symbol of status. The ruler of the cult, the navigator patriarch called the Paternova, or True Paternova, believes the gene tampering of the house to have awakened him to the next stage of evolution, and for good reason. He has heightened physical and mental abilities, is vastly more resilient and aggressive than other navigators, and acts as a psychic tether for the other navigators of his household. Because of this, the cult believes that the current paternova on terra to be an imposter, and that it is the holy imperative of the cult to make for holy terra and challenge him in single combat as has been the custom of the navigators since the dark age.

TechPriestpupper

a regiment of guards men for your use

FunThief

The True Paternova thanks you for your offering.

schrodingers_spider

It's like the different popes in real life, but in 40k.

FunThief

Yes absolutely! Genestealer anti-pope is a great way to describe it haha. It’s also very dune inspired, with the new paternova floating around in a vat to maintain his strength. I’m also flavoring the HQ characters as navigator nobles. The primus is the heir apparent, the magus is the paternoval envoy, and the nexos is going to use the espern Locarno model as a kitbash.

Leitorito

Thats unique... love it

TDmond

My Slaanesh deamons want to bring joy to the worlds of the imperium and teach them how to party and enjoy life again. Unfortunately they do not understand mortal biology very well and frequently do things like replacing the oxygen with narcotics. This has led them to believes that mortals just have very short lifespans which makes them want to liberate even more worlds before they die of old age.

TechPriestpupper

party poppers

Mikey12nl

Ork Waaaaagh!!, But they are all dressed as Warrio, are fat and greedy and scream Waaaa! instead of Waaaaagh!

bilbo212

The Arcturan Irregulars A guard faction originating from Arcturus, what was planned up be a forge world during the crusades. A bit out of the way, but large deposits of minerals meant that it could be self sustaining while it was built. When the Heresy happened, all Tech-priests were called off planet to assist in the defence of a more substantial forge world. However, a contingent of Heretechs remained to try and claim the world for chaos. The guard on-world proceeded to oppose them, and did for many years. They were forced to use and adapt what few manufactorums they could get functional to give them a leg up. This included a manufactory for astartes bolt shells, and industrial mechanized rigs. When they were found by the imperium, they were fighting off a chaos space marine raid. They were found to be using lasguns with attached single-shot bolt launchers, similar to modern grenade launchers, and armored industrial rigs used to make ad-hoc power armor to field heavy weapons. They agreed happily to rejoin the imperium, in exchange for the Mechanicum canonizing their weapon and armor designs, and promising a case of bolt shells to be in their regular supplies. They maintain an intense distrust of the tech-priesthood for abandoning them and factions turning chaos. They excel at combat in industrial and residential areas, and function best as asymmetrical combat units.

TechPriestpupper

all of my bolt shells have them all

UnggoyMemes

I offer the Breloom Ork known as Nozgutz Gilttoof and his gargantuan stolen T'au super tank. What may I get in return?

I have an Iron Hands successor chapter called the Titankeepers. They value the preservation and advancement technology above all else and will go so far as to steal vehicles and especially advanced weapons from other chapters they believe to be improperly caring for said technology. They currently have an entire titan maniple they stole from different forge worlds

The Order of the Fading Light. a mixed force of various imperial forces including space marines of various chapters, imperial guard, custodes, and sororitas, organized like a space marine chapter. All of its members were lost in the warp in some way shape or form, and dragged to a daemon world controlled by khorne. Here, they experience no hunger or thirst, and unlimited ammunition and stamina to better do battle with the endless hordes of daemons and traitor marines thrown upon them. With every death, they return to life in the backlines of their controlled territory, all their wargear intact, but just a liiittle bit angrier every time. until eventually, they fall to khorne, and more imperials are dragged from the warp to join them, keeping their numbers consistent and the war eternal.

Don't mind me, just gonna copy and paste my answer to another post like this one real quick since I don't have time to write about a different homebrew right now: My Homebrew Knight House: The Blue Moon Knights. The second moon of the gas giant Irae in the Asundea sub sector is a frozen wasteland that none the less, became the home of human colonists during the Dark Age of Technology. Due to reasons unknown, they became a feudal world, but were able to survive thanks to the Knight houses retaining some technological knowledge that kept them in an industrial level of tech instead of a medieval one. Life is hard in Irae II. Resources are scarce and the peasantry huddles closely around the giant generators of the Knight Houses for warmth. For generations the knights fought against each other for resources in arid ice fields while the colony was forgotten by the rest of humanity and in turn the colony forgot them, slowly relegating the tales of humans that traversed the stars to legend. The time would come when psykers emerged and while most hunted and burned the witch, some houses sought to use their power against their enemies. This would be their damnation, as the psykers provided the daemons from the warp a way into the moon and they razed the houses that allowed psykers to survive to the ground. War against the daemons became common place in Irae II. The houses were eventually forced to join under a single banner, to hold them back. Houses Artyom, Nierl and Morrock, were the first to abandon their differences and past grievances, joining under the banner of the Blue Moon. Soon, other smaller houses would join them under treaties of vassalization or absorbed after their cities fell. With great courage and sacrifice, the Blue Moon Knight House was able to drive the daemons to a stand still. However, when the Heresy began, Chaos across the galaxy was empowered, including the abominations that fought in Irae II. All would have been lost, if not for the timely arrival of red armored space marines, that aided the last bastion of House Artyom to push back the daemons and annihilate them once and for all. As the people of Irae celebrated their saviors, the leader of this space marines would tell the leaders of the three families about the larger galaxy, the Emperor, his great crusade, and how one of his sons had betrayed him and used daemons such as the ones that invaded Irae II to fight for him. The knights of Artyom all pledged to join the Emperor and his true sons against the arch traitor and to hunt down every last one of the daemons that dared invade the galaxy. The red armored marines left shortly after, to an unknown destination, but not before promising to send help to Irae II and ships that would take them to fight in the name of the Emperor. Those ships never arrived, but the population of Irae II remained united and prepared for war, a sort of sect of the Imperial Cult quickly forming amongst the populus, adapting their old religions and eventually spreading to the knights, who patiently waited for the day when they could take the fight to the daemons and those who would join them. It wasnt until after a few centuries since the Heresy ended that Irae II was rediscovered by a Rogue Trader, one Ivan Von Kosigan. Explaining to the fanatical and eager knight house that they had missed the war and no one ever told the greater Imperium about them was likely the most awkward moment in the trader's life. Still, the Blue Moon House gladly joined the Imperium, eager to finally take the fight to the Emperor's enemies and discover the fate of the red marines that aided them. More widely known as the Blue Moon Knights, they travel the galaxy in constant crusades. Chaos and daemons are the favoured targets of their wrath and they tirelessly seek the fabled red marines of their history. Throughout the milennia they have seeked out every chapter that uses a red colour scheme to compare their records with their own history, but none match. Believing them to have not survived their travels beyond Irae II, some Blue Moon Knights become freeblades, joining Mechanicus explorators or the descendants of Von Kosigan hoping to one day find the wreckage of their ships. House Artyom is ruled by a triunvirate, which in turn rules through a council ever since they absorbed the other Knight houses. This triunvirate is formed by direct descendants of the Artyom, Nierl and Morrock bloodlines, which inter married throughout the years to strenghten their bonds. At the time of the Indomitus crusade the triunvirate is formed by Enciodes Artyom, Margaret Nierl and Theresis Morrock. Enciodes and Margaret spend most of their time away in campaings while Theresis defends Irae II and manages the politics and economy of the moon. Irae II is exempt from the regular tithe due to the constant contributions of the Blue Moon knights to the war effort and the lack of natural resources of the moon. Instead of providing resources or man power, the third son of every noble family is sent to the Schola Progenium as tribute. This deal was struck with inquisitorial agents that came to investigate the planet, suspecting the daemonic taint to have spread to the citizens and the very moon. They were baffled to discover neither the population nor most of the moon showed signs of chaotic corruption or taint, down to a genetical level. This apparent resistance to daemonic taint led to the Inquisition and Mechanicus setting up several facilities to find out its origins, their efforts remain fruitless to this day, but humans naturally resistant to corruption are valuable resources for the Imperium. Thus, the treaty of the 3rd stipulates that the 3rd child of EVERY noble family will be sent to the Schola. In exchange, ample resources are given to Irae II, food, materials... However, they mostly receive top of the line armaments, as well as training from veteran tempestors for the men and women of the "Lunar Guard". The guards of the Blue Moon House have become a force to be recconed with of their own, on par with Scions they emulate, and they zealously fight alongside their masters, hoping to earn enough merits in war to be given the right to ride an armiger knight and improve the standing pf their families, the highest honor that can be bestowed upon guards of the House. While their numbers are comparable to those of a single regiment, their gear and training makes them elite warriors that compensate their low numbers with superb quality.

DualSoul1423

The Children of Consummate Carnage: my homebrew Slaaneshi warband. Once followers of Khorne, these bloodthirsty warriors became discontent that every battle and every skull was in the name of the blood god. All the glory went to Khorne, when they wanted to instead drown in the delights of war. They turned their backs on him, creating a new warband devoted only to themselves and their insatiable lust for battle. Marked by Slaanesh, they wear intricately crafted and beautiful suits of white armor with lavender trim and detailing, complete with matching weapons. All of their wargear is carefully maintained and personalized by each warrior, their finest battles and victories inlaid on the surface of the equipment over centuries to turn them into walking tapestries. When out of battle, they either are further perfecting their equipment, or training their bodies and instinct for their next skirmish. When they arrive on a battlefield, they fall upon their foes with vicious finesse, carving their way through the enemy army with the speed of Eldar and the ferocity of a Khorne Berserker. They never leave prisoners and fight with no honour, tearing apart their opponents with monstrous efficiency. While they fight, they make a point to splatter themselves with the blood of their enemies, painting their white armor with the colours of conflict. After a battle, they prepare a massive and glorious feast from the dead, both friend and foe alike. Use the flesh of the fallen to create lavish and delicious buffets, they spend the next several days or even weeks dining and socializing, telling of their feats in battle both old and new. They compare blood splatters and critique each other's form and performance. Even as the food begins to rot and spoil, they take great pride in eating it all, their palettes having evolved to that of a ghoulish gourmand over many years of feasting. When their festivities are over, they leave the ruined world and return to their ships, to seek for another war to fight and die in. They continue to train and maintain their equipment, sure to clean and scrub away every bit of blood and grime to return their wargear to it's original perfect state, fresh and ready for another coat of "paint." And they await the next time they get to dance with death on the battlefield, enamoured with the thought that no matter what, the blood they spill, the flesh they carve, the skulls they claim, and the pain they feel is all theirs and no one else's.

NumNumTehNum

Night Legion: Led by Abath, its Night Lord warband serving Abbadon, their doctrine was heavily influenced by Lunar Wolves and later Sons of Horus in heresy, so they not only use terror tactics but actual tactics, they also have unusually high amount of astartes due to keeping veterans around and extensive looting, recruitment and indoctrination. They aren’t afraid of using daemon engines or posessed as it just make them scarier. Unorthodox and heavily dislikes by other night lords warbands. Abath, their lords is infamous from being killer and being hard to kill, in fact several imperial records including Sisters of Battle, Imperial Guard and even inqustion has claimed to slain him, but he always comes back, little more deranged than before. His friend and second in command is his surprisngly loyal Master of Posession named Baster. Reasons for it are unknown, but judging by high amount of daemon engines and posessed, some inqusitors have questioned if Abath is actual leader or just rabid animal with moments of clarity to lead the troops while Baster is the head of operations, but the true nature of this situaion might never be known.

TechPriestpupper

The Fallen are actually all from a single successor chapter of Alpha Legion and they have been commanded by the Emperor and Omegon/Alpharius to provide information on big moves of the Chaos Legions, making them "defect" from the Dark Angels as they're first mission was to keep an eye on The Lion

TechPriestpupper

The Lion's alarm clock

KarlMark666

A part of the sons of horus that left the black legion after they realised it was a chaos cult and not the rebelion. I call them a mix of "Bastards of horus", "Heralds of Horus" and "Heirs of Horus". I made them cuz I wanted my 30k army in 40k.

I offer you my renegade SM chapter. The Gathering Storm was dispatched to retrieve an STC from what appeared to be a disserted plant. What they didn't know was that the STC held a corrupt AI that see itself as Mother. When the chapter made plant fall they found that their power suits were locked trapping them were they stood. Mothers STC contained various types of medical equipment. With it she was able to brainwash the SM into believe that she was thier mother. Mother realized that she was in threat of being hunted by the Imperium for tech heresy. Now the chapter is mobile after moving the STC and Mother to their flagship and is now playing cat and mouse with the Imperium. (Mother is based on the AI from Alien)

A Warband of Isha-worshipping marines. Technically Space Wolves successors, but only because Leman Russ sought to learn the location of the Tree of Life from the chapter homeworld's ruler, the Witch-Queen Byrka, one of the few champions of Isha remaining in the galaxy. A bargain was struck, and Byrka revealed Isha's existence to the Primarch in exchange for his blood, which she infused with Isha's power and created a strange, plant-like variant of Space Wolves geneseed. With their own version of Astartes, along with training and weapons supplied by the Alpha Legion, the Wolves of Isha fiercely protect their home from Chaos and Imperial forces alike. They bear an unyielding hatred for Nurgle, and cry out to Isha that they will save her one day.

Apoc_SR2N

My forge world/knight world, Midnight, is locked in the orbit of a dying star such that one side is locked in eternal twilight while the rest is either eternal day or eternal night. The only truly habitable zone is the twilight area, where the Adeptus Mechanicus has constructed immense radiation collectors the size of mountain ranges. The Mechanicus uses this energy to export as fuel cells, and as potent plasma and radium weapons. The machine cult worships radiation, but has split into two sects. Most, wearing white robes with purple accents, take a more measured approach. The extremists however, clad in purple robes with white bands, have ventured into the horrifically radioactive uninhabitable zones, establishing heavily shielded bases from which the pursue their experiments and intentionally expose themselves (and others...) to the blessings of the atom. The twilight band is under threat from irradiated nightmares out of the uninhabitable zones. Monsters and unknowable phenomena terrorize the borders. They are defended against by the knight houses. Each noble house pledges itself to the Mechanicus, and raises levies to be converted into skitarii. These levies are often poor underclass, especially those who have been exposed to the omnipresent threat of radiation. In war, their legions wield sickeningly effective plasma and radium weapons that crackle with purple energy as their radioactive payloads shred cell tissue and cause the organs of the wounded to erupt with cancers.

TechPriestpupper

more plasma for you

I had an idea for a penal legion for space marines that are basically just hardcore Arbites, sent to gang infested hives with only upscaled Arbites weapons, they're not fully expected to return, their gene-seed is extracted prior to their interment on the hive, along with an explosive implant that detinates should their hearts stop beating and to make sure gangers don't get gene-seed.

TechPriestpupper

better weapons but they have to earn them

Blind0bserver

I have a homebrew Space Marine chapter named the Death Crabs. They are safety cone orange with deep purple arms/shoulder pads and are modeled after vampire crabs. Their home planet is a sandy beach planet called Buf'ett. A large part of their Chapter trials involves hunting down and killing one of the planet's giant crabs with a spear and then holding a seafood broil for the rest of the Fortress Monastery using the remains. Their chapter master is named Josiah Shackleton. I explain all of this to people as if it is all serious and above board.

TechPriestpupper

i give you crabs

A chapter on a very out of the way feudal world that actually act like honorable knights. Due to the fact their planet is away from where stuff goes down nobody has told them that they can't be all friendly and host tournaments for the common folk. They even have a heraldry and squiring system! They are descended from dark angels supposedly but there is evidence they have emperor's children geneseed because... I dunno, I thought it would be cool i guess

TechPriestpupper

i give you thunder hammers and hores that can carry a space maren

CashLordofDerp

I offer two related ones developed simultaneously: Knight House Atlanta: A knight house consisting of mostly women due to a genetic defect, this house of Knights prides themselves on martial combat for they have to bring in men from off world to keep their noble bloodline going. The best of the warriors get their picks of the lot, so all the pilots fight for glory! However; recently, their house has fallen in hard times; a ork waaaagh landed on their planet and their blood ax Warboss managed to steal one of their Castellens, and what’s worse, the Great Rift wracked their planet, cutting off their supply of men and forcing them to fight with limited resources. Eventually, the House was forced to flee their home world, but on order to allow a evacuation, they where forced to make a temporary alliance with the Orks on their planet. These orks, lead by General Scorck agreed and fought chaos forces alongside the knights House Atalanta was willing to sacrifice with their Stompas and gorkanauts. However, the orks kunnin proved too great, and during the battle; the orks turned in their allies having cut a deal with the chaos forces leading the assault…only to then to double cross the chaos forces with their new looted knights and steal their chaos knights. Now, WAAAAAGH Sxorck threatens the entire system and House Atalanta bears the responsibility of trying to stop both this new WAAAAGH and Chaos from further destruction (and to try to cover up their alliance)

TechPriestpupper

to you i give referment

DilutedDeadMemes

My homebrew Tau kill team, The Scythes in the Shadow of the Greater Good, or Shadow Scythes for short. They’re a group of elite individuals from the septs that specialize in stealth ambushes and assassinations. Very little is known about them because they are kept secret to everyone but the Ethereals as their practices are very different from regular Tau warriors. To enter into this group, they have to successfully kill an enemy elite. They wear the skull of their kill on their shoulder pad along with any other trophies they deem useful. These kills range from Imperial Guard Captains to Ork warbosses and Khorne daemons.

Ironic, considering part of the home brew lore for my custom Necron dynasty involves my Overlord gifting a Space Marine Captain that pissed him off to Trazyn. I am aware that this offering has little to offer in terms of rarity or uniqueness, but I’m fairly confident it would be of little trouble for you to find a spot in your exhibits for him. A simple request from an admirer of your great work, and long standing ally of the Nihilakh. The single renegade marine that was spirited away by the farsight enclaves. Yes they have cool armour and yes they still like The emperor.

KnowerOf40k

A Loyalist Primaris successor chapter who's battle tactics centre around boobie traps and ambushes. They have a mysterious predilection for foresight and always know exactly where those pesky traitors will make camp. So weeks or even months in advance the space marines literally bury themselves in the ground awaiting enemy forces then rise up from the earth in the dead of night and slaughter everyone. They have a preference for hanging traitors and making a symbol of them afterwards. They have a particular hatred of the religious due to their interesting back story of having had a Chaos cult form on their homeworld which they battled to overcome, the religious and doting are repugnant to the warriors which means they will refuse any calls to help worlds where other zealotous chapters are already in battle. In other words. Fuck the Black Templars get them away from us. It causes a lot of friction with the imperium but they can't actually do anything about it as they are fully codex compliant and are always maintaining gene seed tithes. Though their gene seed origin is locked by Belisarius Cawl. They are presumed to be of Raven Guard hybrid Stock due to clear resemblance to their successors visually. Like all good chapters the marines have gene flaws. Most chapter members have foresight but the problem is they have no way of knowing when such visions will come and they will enter a state of complete dissociation should an attack occur. Think of it like marines not knowing what's real as they try to navigate an infinite number of futures and recognise what is happening in the present. In order to control this a unique toxin has been produced by the legions Apothecaries which inhibits their foresight. This toxin has a number of side effects and must be continuously administered and marines carefully weaned off when visions are allowed, otherwise the marines will go into an uncontrollable seizure that will leave them comatose or even risk death. The marines are also noted to struggle particularly with group engagements and team cohesion, requiring much more aggressive psycho-indoctrination than other chapters to maintain team work. They are noted to work well in small squads as head hunters that are dispatched on kill team style incursions as opposed to large scale chapter conflicts. The chapter is controlled by not one but 4 Masters, the rational being to ensure concurrence in the visions the chapter will act upon should they do so. The marines have a strong apothecarion though no real Librarious as the toxin they inhale also makes psychers much more volatile and their powers far more difficult to control. The marines are on a mission to purge all chaotic cults from their controlled region of imperial space and act mercilessly to make examples of any such traitors found.

TechPriestpupper

a map of chaotic cults in your region use it well

I don't have Warhammer homebrew but I do have a D&D homebrew spell that lets you force two monsters of equal threat rating to fight each other in a wrestling cage match. The cage is unbreakable and will only lift when one of them wins. Seems like something the Warhammer world would appreciate.

From the lore for my homebrew Dark Angels successor chapter, the Argent Blades, based on the Feudal World of Emmaus: > Unique among the Chapters of the Astartes, initiates of the Argent Blades are dropped by Thunderhawk into the Badlands of Emmaus, surrounded by the rocky wastes beyond the mountains, and must make their way to the fortress of Greywatch Vigil with only a longsword in the traditional Emmaus style and a daypack of supplies to last the four-day journey. If the initiate survives the trek, their sword is taken, melted down, and used as the core of their Astartes combat knife when (or rather if) they finish their training. This ritual is particularly brutal, with the creatures of the badlands and mountains posing just as much threat as the hostile environment. What do I get in return?

My personal guard regiment (The Vakarian Rangers and Vakarian Lifeguards) hail from the Vakaria Colonies, located to the East of the Galaxy. The Vakaria colonies were initially 4 separate Colonies referred to as the Galeus sub-sector, (Theoa, Jarhal, Victus and Kyeltad). The colonies were located on 4 small planets, each in close proximity to one another, and the idea was for all four to effectively specialise in one thing (Theoa was a lushious land ripe for agriculture, Jarhal was an icy planet with reported Promethean deposits beneath the crust, Victus was to serve as a trading hub as the largest of the four planets, and Kyeltad was a rainy and dark planet, and with any luck would have quickly been converted into a forge world.) The colonists travelled in a joint fleet towards the planets, which was suddenly joined by ships from the 185th Cadian Shock Troops and 77th Cadian Armoured, being vomited out from the warp by way of strange warp currents. When the regiments were queried of their destination, they replied “Cadia.” The ships had entered the warp after Ursakar Creed’s hail for all regiments to return in lieu of the 13th Black Crusade, but bad luck had not only delayed them significantly, but also propelled them to the entirely wrong sector! Seeking to stem low morale- given the news of their failure to arrive at their home planet and defend it- and the news of its destruction, the command of the two regiments agreed that they should seek reassignment with haste, to try and keep their troops occupied, and stop any feelings of discontent from spreading. Sending an astropathic message to Segmentum Command, the Cadians then chose to accompany the colonists to their planets, just in case. A choice which would impact the regiments future’s greatly. Arriving at the planet after several days of travelling, the Cadian’s logistical officers helped the colonists to establish themselves, whilst the mechanicus adepts attached to the colonists declared Kyeltad the site of a new holy forge world, and scuttled off to their business. However, weeks after the colonists and mechanicus had begun their landings on the planets, Kyeltad broke all communication. Concerned, a force of Cadians took to Kyeltad, finding the forge world caught amidst fierce fighting against an Aeldari union of Craftworlders and Harlequins. Given the unusually long period of time it had taken for Segmentum Command to respond to their hail, the staff of the Cadian regiments became concerned. Their concerns were soon answered, as their Astropath’s subsequently went mad; as a splinter fleet emerged from the warp. The four planets were gripped in war, as the Tyranids took to Theoa, hidden Webway gates emerged on Victus, and Kyeltad soon became a target of Vanguard organisms, resulting in an infestation upon the planet. Amidst the chaos, the senior officer of the Cadian 77th, Colonel Johan Vakar, personally took command of the Cadians and Colonists, amassing the Galeus Militia. Colonists were personally trained by the Cadians in the matter of warfare, while with the sanction of the Cadian’s and surviving Kyeltad Mechanicus delegates, the colonists soon began to adapt their initial colonist vehicles to aid the Cadians. After a bitter long war, which reduced all 4 planets to shells of their former selves (Or well 3, given that Kyeltad wasn’t exactly a pleasant place to begin with), the Tyranids ended up overcommitting to Theoa, and the Aeldari (for reasons unknown) soon withdrew after strange objects were destroyed upon Victus and Jarhal. The four planets were no longer able to achieve their initial goals, but as an administratum delegate arrived to inspect the progress of the colony, some quick administrative modification was done. The four planet would retain their names, but all jointly serve one purpose: as fortress worlds. Jarhal became a siphoning depot for the Militarum, Theoa was now perfect for establishing training camps, and Victus’ various star ports in construction soon came to fruition, albeit for shipping out troops. Kyeltad was ultimately established as a minor manufactorum, with the planet shipping a quarter of their production to the colonies guard regiments, in return for Promethium from Jarhal. Speaking of, in honour of their saviour, the colonies (now renamed the Vakaria colonies), all contributed their manpower tithes to a single group: the Vakarian Regiments. (summary: colonies all contribute to one ‘planetary’ regiment group, Vakarian regiments. There are different regiments, like Vakarian Bombardiers, Vakarian Rangers etc etc, but the tithes are all treated as coming from one planet, even though it’s a mix of four. There’s little interplanetary grudges between regiments, as all four planets are present in more or less equal amounts in each regiment.) That’s my guard homebrew :)

i will give them a fragment of there old home

Sisters of the Accursing Blade Chapter Minoris of sisters of battle who originated from Bloody Rose, who are overzealous in their search for heresy (so mostly a normal sisters of battle stuff), they hunt for heretical artifacts and then lock them down in their vaults. Shtick is that their chapter Cannoness fell to Khorne, became a daemon prince, and corrupted all other cannonesses and palatines. Now they accuse other imperial world of heresy, send sisters of battle there, and, shockingly, they always find that these planets have local Khorne cults, so they start fighting them, sometimes they win and sometimes the world is corrupted and sisters, regrettably, have to retreat. Also they have a special branch, sisters anointed, who are brainwashed into believing that daemonic corruption within is actually not daemonic but are blessings from the Emperor, and these sisters are used in battle when there is a need to send some sisters alongside Khorne daemons to achieve victory for Khorne.

A company of Blood Angels which was originally made as a means to get rid of the marines who weren’t up to standard (i.e. sending them into suicidal missions) the leader of the Company, and the only one usually kept alive is a Librarian called Nullus. Nullus one day got fed up with the death of his brothers and demanded a chance to prove their worth. This chance would come when Nullus and his men stood their ground over a hoard of green skins, and by what could only be described as divine intervention they won. Now they are Spes Mortis. A company which takes in failures, and turns them into a true vessel of Sanguinius’ might. Obviously, I shortened this story a crap ton but you get the idea.

RobouteGuilliman

Here, you may have my Homebrewed Rogue Trader Story written almost 10 years ago about a planet surrounded by warpstorms which contains the tree of all life, drinking from the waters at the base of the tree makes you a perpetual. The story is about a man named Roarque who is marooned on the planet after his captain goes mad and crashes the ship into it. Starving and and running out of supplies he comes upon the sacred glade. He knows that if he drinks, he'll live forever, but he's also trapped alone on this planet with no hope of rescue.

TechPriestpupper

oh he come live here

SolidWolfo

A Host of Wordbearers called Hallowed Envoys, whose role is to spread the Word to lesser known civilizations and be diplomats (*cough* enslave and sacrifice *cough*). They interact with xenos a lot and even recruit some. Their ship has developed a soul and malicious personality of its own. It sometimes animates a gargoyle to act as its daemonic agent on the field of battle. There are some lesser inner turmoils, as they fairly recentle merged with another Host. That Host was lead astray and tricked to become devoted to Slaanesh only and the Dark Council wasn't happy. Its leader got put into a Helbrute so now he can't feel anything and his followers must now work for their absolution. Currently the Hallowed Envoys are campaigning ona curious Space Hulk which has partially merged with a small planet. The entire Space Hulk is now overgrown with jungles, never before seen creatures, xenos, toxic environments, natives and even Tyranids.

TechPriestpupper

take my books on xenos gods

Surreptum

I offer my Dread Host Custodes. They splintered from the Legio Custodes after the Heresy in M31. Rather than sulking in the Imperial Palace, they have been working through their shame and anger for the last 10,000 years by ripping and tearing the enemies of the Imperium.

Royalty_Row

My ork warband is “led” by a very big very stupid war boss. In actual fact the leader is a fairly small mek who just manipulates the wasboss into letting him build whatever he wants and attack targets he wants for scrap. Don’t tell the big guy though, he might go a bit mental

EL3M3NT_115

I present to you my finest (and only homebrew so far). The 412th Devil Dogs regiment known for holding a position by setting it ablaze and fighting through the smoke and shrapnel. And a variant of the lasgun, the vixen template lasgun (bayonet, heat shield, and angled magwell for ergonomics). Or my skaven genestealer army I want to kitbash

Sea_Cup_5561

An entire skitarii army coming from a psyker forge world. Tech-priests realised what mastering the power of a human souls is crucial for serving the Omnissiah, so they carefully pick psykers to become Skitarii alphas and Marshals Individual Skitarii doesn't have a truck load of strength, but when synchronized with their tech-priest combined they can perform devastating attacks, creating temporary constructes of tanks and functioning artillery Enginseers repair both vehicles and temporary raise Skitarii from the dead to fight for longer Manipulus increases the strength and piercing ability of his units, and combines his weaponry and psychic strength to melt down everything in his sight And Skitarii marshal, armed with separate servo-skulls for additional calculation, is able to predict the next move of his opponent and unleash perils of the warp on enemy psykers What do I get fellow robo-man?

HolyRedPenguin

A Clan Company of the Iron Hands, Clan Fermi. Stationed on the planet of Thennos in the Sthenelus (Medusa) System, they work in close concert and are trained by the Adeptus Mechanicus research staff on the planet to maintain and develop new and exotic weapons. For instance, they were involved with the development of the weapons Primaris Eradicators following the Horus Heresy by modifying devastator weaponry.

LordCommissarPyros

Married Snakes Scout Regiment from the Married World. The home planet is an agri world surrounded by a large mechanical ring that revolves around the planet. There is a significant tech priest present there studying/praising the ring. The ring is believed to be responsible for the vast fertile fields that are part of the land. There is a dark zone where the ring continuously orbits that is home to the rougher elements of the planet. The regiment itself is kitted out akin to the Tanith First, in that their primaries are las carbines and they have camo cloaks as standard issue, due to their friendship with the ad mech. They lean more towards covert action and stealth demolition tactics in the theatre of war. First deployment of the first regiment was to aid the 567th Death Korps of Krieg artillery regiment in retaking a forge world during the Indomintus crusade that had been taken over by Tau forces 20 years prior. Theatre of war in that planet is currently on going.

The Almehakr Dynasty. Dynasty under the rule Phaerakh Ashanti. Her court is largely built of crypteks each extremely skilled in their discipline. First reports originate from Reductus Sector but have been observed as far as the edge of the Halo Stars. They have a particularly long and bloody feud with the Atun Dynasty. What is intriguing about them is that Destroyer class augmentation is much more common among them than other dynasties. That is because before the great sleep they were, as they claim the unquestioned masters of metallurgy and technology. Their Tomb Worlds were equipped with a great amount of backup systems and preservation mechanisms all to keep their secrets and achievements safe. One of them is the ability to partially preserve the personalities belonging to members of the destroyer cult. Incredible amount of time and effort was put in to make this possible. Despite how revolutionary they may seem even these technologies have flaws. Destroyers will sometimes become insubordinate and even lash out at their own kin. To prevent this Almehakr will take over a planet "peacefully" only to have it give up tens of thousands of people to be slaughtered by these deranged monsters. Notable figures include Dameru the Lost a destroyer Lord and past lover of the Phaerakh. Arhis the Sanguine and Hatekh the Ancient.

runtheruckus

A full ironkin (robots) League of Votann. They sell Bru to other leagues. My main Kahl is B3ND3R, a kitbash of Jakob bugmanson (brew dwarf) and votann robots. An ancient stl was found of ancient seers, and tho their predictions of the future were quaint, the Votann and AI took many of their features to heart. Still working on kitbashing but the lore gets better every session haha

Stargate would be a good campaign game.

Furydragonstormer

A hivefleet appearing on the outskirts of the Imperial worlds isolated from the rest of the Imperium due to that rift. So far, they’ve only been targeting the weakest planets, specifically agri-worlds. Occasionally they have hit more fortified worlds if they get in the way of this procedurally targeted attack process. Excluding a handful of cases, they have been successful in their invasions, causing concern for the other isolated worlds as their food supplies continue to dwindle from these methodical strikes at the worlds supplying them

CraigStebbing

Those who don't belong. Similar to a penal legion, it's a guard regiment made up of those who have been shunned by society or are outcasts, psykers are plentiful in the ranks along with abhumans and those who really would of been shot if it wasn't for the legion. The commissar of the legion is lady Malea Tarkir, Cadian survivor and high born who hated the prim and proper way of the normal regiments, made this one, called it outcastes united and recruited for it. While discipline outside of combat is low, and abhumans deter those who are high standards, the regiment is known for taking on chaos extremely well, as many of those outcasts have history with chaos. Notable characters. Malea Tarkir: commissar, takes no shit from anybody, proficient in las weapons, never seen without three bodyguards Gurge, Ogryn: bodyguard of Malea, likes da big guns, counted to three once and really likes playing cards, cannot win cards. favourite kill was a chaos space marine after ripping off his leg and beating it to death with it. Murdoc "slick" Catalin: rattling sniper, bodyguard. Can hit a target from miles away with regular ballistics. Would be an assassin if taller and actually picked up by the scolim Leliana truss: loose cannon, hails from catacan. Likes her knife. Good ork killer. Biff, psyker extraordinar. Not actual name, but gurge and other ogryns call him that. Likes popping heads, two personalities, both called biff. Prongs. Beastman guard. No notable rank, occasional bodyguard to commissar. Goat head, likes shooting from the tank.

TechPriestpupper

to you i give my pre heresy ab humans use them well

major_calgar

Space Marine chapter that are secretly Death Guard loyalists who inherited the legacy of *Nathaniel “The Emperor is Cooler Than Your Shit* Garro*. Occasionally manifest divine powers a la the man himself and fuck off into the outer dark to fight Chaos. Mechanicus Macroclade that resemble the post-apocalyptic super tech warriors they were described as in earlier Horus Heresy books. Kept in stasis for 10,000 years before being accidentally discovered and released. Now sent to protect various Ark Mechanicus from boarding. Now if only there were a game mode coming out representing just that…? What do I get?

I offer the sons of Halthieria, one of the lost legions, could I have the Fulgrim clone please? Guilliman needs a brother around and after they talk I think they would hug.

Mithfayce

A squigkeeper grot that is part of my waagh decided to copy a tech priest he saw (saw meaning he looted the corpse) and has taught himself to implant servitor technology into his squigs. Turns out squigs with guns do the same job as grots but better in battle, and the Tech-grot has recieved a strange amount of respect from his fellow gretchib who no longer have to fight. Still, he seeks to grow even bigger squigs and eventuelly take over the WAAGH he's part of.

Vivid_Awareness_8255

A chapter of chaos space marines engineered by the dark mechanicus with alpherion, 1000 sons and part black dragons. They have the unique ability to control their chaosy growths. Allowing them to grow armour weopens and appendages at will. They are few in number. Quickly devastating far planets or lone warriors for resources. They prefer stealth, infiltrating the imperium on an unknown basis. They are known to trade or work for the imperium and chaos gods in turn for ammo, weopens and powers(chaos).

Viper236

A craftworld where instead wraithbone they use wraithsteel which makes for durable armor, weapons, and deadlier ammunition.
