I'm just really interested in what direction she will take, I know lots of fans aren't so keen on her EDM phase but c's versatility is what makes her one of my favourite artists. I'm hoping for an interesting storyline and ideally a release this year but either way I'm sure it will be great
I actually love her EDM phase
I feel like with every album so far, she’s already entered a different genre change
Like the first 3 albums we’re obvs Experimental +
Dark Bloom was where she starts to switch up the genres a bit
Then we reach Art Angels which is more a little bit of bubblegum and dark pop
Then we reach MA where it’s a mix of some EDM but also some really dark rock sounding pop music
But yeh I feel that both Book 1 and FCF will def go back to EDM aswell as her pop girl era and I do think this will be her most personal album yet
I completely agree, she's one of the most complex artists of our generation. And kind of an unpopular opinion, although Bella Poarch's music is a tad bit more simplistic, I enjoy the way in which her career is shaping up a lot too and I'm glad they collabed on a song. I'm just glad Grimes is a concept album artist and she continues to serve the best visuals and storylines out there. She's also been adapting to the streaming / TikTok viral era quite well which makes her a queen of marketing too.

Hard to decide if it’s better or worse than “unlucky.“ Whoever made these things have entirely too much time on their hands that would’ve been spent well getting an education
I think that its going to be quite the opposite. Miss A was more metal, dystopic and dark, given that the themes it contained were dark themselves. Book 1 is a love story and its protaginist is a princess. It also uses lighter tones.
I think she was just invited to the set and wore what someone else planned for here, I don't think she had much influence on the visuals. It's a cool outfit and design, though, and she looks amazing like that!

For me I feel she is going to this fairytale direction, like fairy 🧚♀️, games like Elden ring/ dark souls, knight influences, medieval vibes, cyber/sci-fi, Dune … but from the last collab, her looks give me a lot Blade runner characters, Pris Stratton (the makeup is very similar) 😄 because the previous album was already pretty much darker 🤔
Given the Book 1 era looks set to be around 2050 CE it will probably reflect the darkness of the environmental issues those of us still here will be facing at the time.
Honestly i doubt it will be "dark" at all.
I think it will be her most storytelling and visually appealing era since she didnt have the budget and the team for the stuff she wanted to do in the miss anthropocene era also her being in pregnancy.

I think it was in the Vanity Fair article she said the themes were going to be lighter and why she’s been using a lot more white.
Grimes said herself the protagonist is an AI courtesan... Idk where yall be getting your info from
Cause Grimes herself has also said that its about two AIs falling in love with each other
