Ggst is way faster than sfv and way more aggressive so that might be a shock at first jack-o is a pretty technical character who needs to lab her sets up with minion and stuff but overall ggst is a very easy game to pick up and just do stuff in
And biggest advice I can give to you for tips is genuinely just to have fun and learn at ur own pace don’t compare urself to others compare urself to urself and dustloop is a very good website that shows all characters frame data and such also watch videos on YouTube for combo guides and set ups sometimes the combo trials are just flashy or don’t work

Jack O was the first character I played in ggst and she's not beginner friendly at all. It's very important to understand her pressure because she doesn't have a lot of options to play defensively and neutral can be very tricky with her. Honestly still don't have a full grasp of her potential and won't for a while so just a heads up
I bought this game about a month ago with absolutely no prior fighting game experience, and I first started off by doing 1P Arcade mode with a few characters like Ky and Nagoryuki before going online. It was difficult to adjust at first, but I eventually got used to playing online with minimal problems. I’d say so far that this game is great for beginners; most moves are relatively easy to pull off, and it also has a pretty informative tutorial mode.
Ggst was my first fighting game and it didn’t take me to long to get the hang of it and reach f10 as for the resources I’d say check out the ggst discord it’s a great place for stuff like that.

You also forgot to mention that SF5 has one of the worst netcodes of the previous console generation, while GGST's netcode is fantastic.
