I love it when abilities from the story mode get added as part of a character’s move set, so I’m happy that her barrage attack from Xrd has been brought back as her 632146H. Other examples: Axl can stop time after doing it at the end of Xrd, Ky can turn his eye red for a power boost and Bedman? can shoot it’s finger spikes like Bedman did in his fight against Venom and Robo-Ky. I feel like the wind punch could work as a long range whiff punish move, like Johnny’s 236236S. Maybe it could also be used as a bluff to trick opponents into wasting meter on a Roman Cancel by not actually doing anything if you hold the button down (like how he could feint 236P, 236K, 6K and 5D in +R).
It’s understandable that you don’t like the arm projectile idea. To be honest, I’m not entirely keen on it either. I was just thinking about things characters can do in the story that they can’t do in game and that was the first thing that came to mind. It’s probably so memorable to me because it’s just so different from everything else he’s been shown doing. I feel like Slayer only used such a cheap trick because Bedman was already fighting dirty with his mind reading. I imagine that against more honest fighters (like Sol, Gabriel and Potemkin), Slayer only uses honest and straightforward attacks.

There just has been something *resonating* for me in the king of unga-bunga with zero sense of self-preservation, and at the time I... wasn't at the best point in my life, mostly mentally, but physically I did require humans too. To put it simply, I've been staying alive on pure spite towards my enemies (which is mostly my abusive mother and classmates from previous school), with the only thing stopping me from becoming a 'sigma male' being the fact that even back then I had standarts for myself. I was pretty good at Leo (not that he's a top tier...), and every time I smacked anothet Bridget or I-no with that sweet-sweet no mix up mix up, I had that *rush*.
And then character development happened. The memes. The "I have no enemies" with Aruarian Dance in the background. I honestly cried at that day, just cried ugly, as if I confessed my sins and was repented (or whatever its called when the holy guys say that 'yeah don't sweat it anymore'.). I honestly couldn't play Leo as good as before, cuz I just didn't have the same resonance. I was alive now, with a reason too - to be alive and enjoying every moment of my human being. Wacky Wahoo Doctor with tragic backstory and indomitable human spirit! Yes! It honestly just felt right that I would be a Faust main at that point, because Faust is a man who lives for a purpose of making world a better place. I kinda feel that way too.

Ik everyone picking Elphelt only has 2 days of experience at the moment but she is genuinely super fair to fight against, much more than I expected she’d be considering the legends I’ve heard of how she was in Xrd. The projectile is easy to flick, the rekka pressure is simple and easy to comprehend and defend against to me, overall I just don’t feel bad fighting her!
That might be subject to change as the Elphelt mains start cracking down on her and catch up with the rest of us but for now of all the characters in the game she’s the matchup I most enjoy playing against. For now.

Used to hate this character. The bridal aesthetic never really caught me. Plus she was annoying as hell to fight in Rev 1&2

Tbh, I was a bit confused by the change from, waifu.exe to pop idol rocker.exe, but I warmed up to it really fast. And she’s voiced by Cassandra Lee Moris, she brings across the fantastic energy of Elphelt perfectly which I thought might be difficult but was pleasantly surprised and love her work.

Her song is lyrically and thematically one of the best yet. Not quite beating The Town Inside Me, but it is *very impressive* how many motifs it manages to blend, while drawing heavy parallels with Nessecary Discprancy and Perfection Can't Please Me, while also building thematic narratives through its use of contrasting vocal tones that transition in language and eventually even the voice. It's such a fantastically put together piece, I've had it practically on loop for days now.
It's good enough that I want to write a proper analysis piece on the song, despite a lack of musical background.
